The difference in sensor performance isn't actually that great, you do however get a decent bump in resolution. Also better AF, a high res viewfinder, a better fully articulated screen, supposedly slightly better IBIS, a second card slot, faster USB, and support for the LA-EA5 A mount adapter. Worse battery life though.

That really doesnt align with other people having the same a7riii survive hours of downpours and arctic freezes. IIRC the hot shoe can cause glitches when water bridges MI contacts and you have to pay attention to the lens you use because sony does not explicitly label things as fully WR or not, but that’s the extent of it. It wasn’t even as well sealed as the new ones.
