Can heat fuck cameras or lenses?
I work as a delivery guy on a scooter and I never find enough time out of work to go out and take pictures. The only place I have for my gear is under the sit, but that's just above the engine and it gets really hot when driving.

Keep it padded at least so the constant jostling and vibration doesn't wear or loosen anything internally. Prolonged exposure to high heat can weaken adhesives and cook off the lubricants on some contact points inside the camera.

Don't keep your camera under the seat.
>>
Yeah on mirrorless the sensor can delaminate and the weather sealing can dry up.

Yeah, this would be a great way to ruin your camera, anon. Both because of the heat issue, and also the repeated jostling which will inevitably cause you problems as well.

Just about anything will break a sony.

Yes, because at this point they're basically small embedded computers as much as cameras. Look for the specifications for storage temps; exceed them at your own peril.

>Storage temp
Normally something like 0-40*c (I don't speak retarded units like Kelvin)
BUT you also normally have humidity ratings as well, which is why those dry cabinet things exist
>>

If your camera has moving parts, stay inside the storage temperature range.
>>
Heat can be good for lenses
Setting oven to proof, wrapping lenses in tinfoil and baking for 30-45 min can evaporate built up internal moisture

don't do this

Yes

I love watching video cucks get their shitty 4k120 vlogs get short.

I hate the next model being fatter to add heat sinks to cater to them. Its at a point where sony cameras are 50% heatsink and canons are adding fucking fans.

>but bro the slowmo memes and it smooths out my hand shake better when i stabilize in post!
TOTAL AMATEUR VIDEOGRAPHER DEATH
IF YOU ARE NOT WORKING FOR A REAL PRODUCTION YOU SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO SHOOT ANYTHING BUT 4K30 WITH SOOC COLOR, NO LOG, NO RAW!
>>

Just go the whole way and remove the video feature. The Df and the Leica 262 are based in this regard.
>>

You don’t even know what temp “proof” is
Would have greater chance of damage lesving a lens outside in the sun on a hot summer day

Fuck I'd love a modern Canon without video shit. 1080/29.994-24p and that's that.
