I use windows 10.
Today I opened windows photo viewer and it seems to have auto updated, now its mentioning onenote, and AI,
WTF is it now going to be any photo I even view in windows gets sent to their AI?
Getting real tired of this stuff, are there any windows alternatives that I can still use captureone or an editing program?

Irfanview for viewing. Ancient interface and you can tell it was designed by nerds but once you get familiar with it, it works well.

Using Windows for anything you just basically assume it's recording your desktop for "analytics and diagnostics" at all times. It's likely not that bad, but I'd rather people assume until proven otherwise. Real fuckin' shame C1 doesn't have a linux version honestly, so I'm stuck using half-assed GNUOOOO freeware which in fairness, isn't trash, but I'd rather be using C1.

Could maybe just have a dedicated laptop/workstation and then a seperate personal computer, but I understand that's a bit of a cunt.

Not hard faggot, just an inconvenience + extra money. Yes, that might surprise you but sometimes those things can be a barrier to entry.

I was starting to doubt myself, but I think I may just be able to hold on to Windows 7 Ultimate for long enough that kernel extensions become usable and I can use win10/dx12 programs without installing neo-digiAIDS on my PC.

Mac doesn’t have this problem

If you're serious about using your computer for editing you'll get one that is not connected to the internet. Like, you will need to connect once to set up Windows but after that just never connect. Rip out the fucking wireless card if you must, but never connect and never update.

I run an IBM Aptiva from 1996 that hasn't been online in about 25 years. It works as well as the day my dad brought it home. I can't use it for editing, but I also know that no disgusting silicon valley beta male faggot will ever get their greasy little dick beaters on it and ruin it with """UPDATES""".

you need not worry about it, remote desktop checking been a feature since win3.11 you like captureone and windows works for you just keep it

You can get Photos Legacy and it'll replace the new shit version. It's surprising Microsoft actually lets people get the old version.
