Doing it without any tricks is more fun.
Usually I'd stop down more for a shot with this background but decided to fully embrace the weirdness of the situation.

This isn't weird. Deer usually stand in this formation so they have a 360 view of approaching predators.
>>
>>4380914
I really like this. Got any more?
>>
>>4381175
we got ourselves a deer nerd over here
>>
>>4381175
I never said it's weird for deer to face opposite directions but they don't "usually stand in this formation" nor are you always in the right position to see them lined up. You're talking out of your ass and you can google "deer" and "white tailed deer" and scroll through pages of images for yourself to see why.

They stand pretty much randomly as they graze but tend to face treelines where coyotes are known to come from. If anything they all line up in the same direction when startled, ready to run. They follow the same game trails every day and know the drill.

If you can't see what I was going for with the symmetry here (the only reason I took this shot of 2 boring deer on a boring field) that's your problem as a photographer. I don't take issue with you not liking my photograph in the slightest, just the way you make things up trying to pretend you know what you're talking about. It's cringe and gives me secondhand embarrassment.
>>
>>4381175
it's a solid shot, at least 10x less boring than average deer photo
>>
>>4381182
>i don't care what you think about my photo i just want to tell you how stupid you are

You even have the subject brighter than the sky and the sky isn't just monotone gray or blue. Well done, another Ambush classic. You make this board a better place and I thank you for that sir.

none taken some people like some people hate. I just make it for fun. Still exploring my voice in photography.
>>
>>4381241
definitely better but i think you'd be happier getting symmetry naturally rather than basic shoop
>>
>>4381244
For sure still learning photography only been at it for two years and my first camera I bought happened to be modfied for full specturm photography so learning that aswell was fun
Heres another one not surreal but more of my work

Any tips on how you would achieve symmetry to create a pic like that?
>>
>>4381247
Reflections, although they are a bit of a meme. Less so than editing though. Symmetry can just be the balance of shapes within the frame too, it doesn't have to be literal mirror image.
>>
I think you're more into abstract than surrealist, OP.
>>
>>4381254
You right abstract is probaly more what my work is considered.
>>
>>4381175
>this isn't weird
Then why does the photo look weird?
>>
>>4381263
Because it's kinda weird looking.
My vote would go to isi's horse-behind-fence shot. At least, I think it was a horse... may have been a moo. Can't remember.

There's nothing particularly surreal about reflection symmetry, dude.

You might want to look into what surrealism actually means.

I took a similar photograph, but in the foreground there was a moose and under him you could see the 2 deer in that pose further back. Unfortunately taken after sunset with a shitty digishitter from far away, but that would have been an insane photo with proper gear.

tryed recreating my above photos style without photoshop( just minor edits in lightroom) still making some with shop cause people slop that shit up on social media.
Fyi colors are off cause I was shooting with no filter on a camera for full specturm photography.

that can be said for every artist out there. well except postmodernists who literally throw shit at a wall. other than that all artists are just dudes who are really good at using tools. (yes, I said dudes because there's no serious female artists - females flock to postmodernist art and smear period blood on a wall)
