My last roll of black and white got voted as boring, I tried to mix it up a bit more this time, thoughts?

>>4383392thats it, the rest is more of the same
>>4383393Think about light more. Subject and composition has some interest, but the light is what lets me down on most shots. I know it is mostly out of your control, but maybe there is a better time to visit the spots you photograph that will provide a better light for you.
Expose for shadows next time
>>4383396>>4383414I like shadows, I exposed for the highlights and took photos with big areas of dark shadow. I already shoot color film which I focus on getting nice colors and exposure so I wanted to try something rough and different with black and white film.
>>4383387I like this one, its very dramatic and makes me feel like there's something looming in the shadows.
>>4383386photo of nothing>>4383387crop the lights and just leave the windows its distracting>>4383388crop, the building on the right its not doing any favors>>4383389lower angle, harder light would have been better (flash)>>4383390Good>>4383391photo of nothing>>4383392tilted and just not interesting lighting
>>4383420>crop the lights and just leave the windows its distractingnot him but I really like it like this>>4383387awesome pic, I would use this as an album cover
>>4383386B&W is 90% shadows and texture, the landscape pic is decent but the only saving grace was the latter. Try using lower ISO film or a larger format too. The golf ball sized grain is distracting.
>>4383387How did you meter for that?
>>4383432The same settings metered for the sun standing outside.I just use a handheld light meter which I had metered the sun outside before i went into that building, I do not use the on camera meter.
