What is the cheapest leica M mount camera?
>>
>>4384683
The one you have with you.
>>
>>4384684
Well currently I do not have one with me but a bunch of M glass I REALLY want to use so..
>>
>>4384685
Damn. You try asking jeeves?
>>
>>4384683
What you gonna do big boy, put your greasy old pre-computer-design-era goggle glass on there and rub em all around like awwww yaaa eyaaaa eyeeeeeyeaaaaaaaaaa

M mount sucks big sweaty slimy donkey balls. You can get beddur optix out of a plastic lomo by now and it'll pull allllll the bitches an you can even make it look like a Leica if you smear some vaseline off ur bunghole over the front element to give it "that look". mmmm yeaaaa so assthetic

OP here to iterate that it doesnt have to be a leica camera it just needs to have an M mount.

Gen 1 IL mirrorless camera + adapter.

Don't do this with sony, they have an overly thick IR filter that causes color shifts and sharpness loss with wide angle M mount lenses due to the excessively steep angle the light hits the sensor at.

It's so much leica uses special microlenses to control the problem. If you want leica-like results, Nikon Z cameras put a thinner filter stack on their sony sensors so the results are indistinguishable from leica's own sony sensors. They also have autofocus and adapters, and a 6 bit MtZ adapter that enables trap focus with M mount on the ZF. Even the cheapest nikon would be better for M mount lenses than a sony, a canon, a panasonic (also too thick), or a crop sensor (lmao cropping out all the sovl, imagine only using 1/2 or 1/4 of the lens you paid for)

Out of film bodies, the CL, M2and the M5 are the cheapest
Out of digital ones, the M8 but if you want a fullframe, the cheapest is M240
>>
>>4384683
Probably the Leica CL I'd guess.
I'd get an M2 instead though, you can use that camera for decades more guaranteed.
>>
Ricoh GXR for digital or Rollei 35 for film obviously for more but better there's
- an M9 going for 1k on KEH
- a Minolta CLE going for 699 on eBay.
>>
>>4384683
It's not the cheapest but if you're talking digital, I wouldn't go cheaper than the M240.
>>

How come?

>>

>Bessa R2A, R3A, R2M, R3M, R4M and R4A by Cosina Voigtländer

>Ricoh GXR by Ricoh
>PIXII by Pixii SAS

in most cases unless you find yourself a remarkably good deal, the Leica CL will be the cheapest film M mount camera. and it's not a half bad little camera either, but lots of them have dead irreparable meters these days.
