Anons should I get the zv-e1?
Focus will be exclusively video, and looking for full-frame for lens compatibility w the stuff I already have.

FX3 is out of my budget range, but willing to consider the FX30. I'm worried about low-light performance for nighttime though.

Anyone have experience with this camera that can give input on overheating issues, or missing features that would make/break?
Mainly going to shoot shorter clips and/or vlog style.

Sure, if you don't hate shooting on a Sony, you might as well. I couldn't stand it but loads of people come to grips with it. Just get a nice Zeiss Batis lens and enjoy.

How was your experience with overheating issues?
I feel like this is the main complaint people have of the camera
>>

Where are you located? Camera Conspiracies uses it without any overheating issues but he's in Canada and it's winter. Is the A7SIII an option? Better resistance to overheating although of course not as good as the FX3.

East coast US.
> A7Siii
Ideally want to stay around or under 2k
>>
Is full frame necessary for the desired lowlight performance?
The FX30 seems like a reasonable choice.

I have a little ulanzi fan glued to the back and it takes care of it. Noisy of course so may not work for your purposes. With that it's not an issue. Without it, lasts about 30 mins before overheating

I wanted it too for video, but it isn't readily available in my zone and I watched some video about this cam and I saw you can only ise it by menu diving like a D3100 ffs and it cost 2000.- + the adapter to adapt F-Mount lenses (I would like to use the Niggor 105 1.4 and the Stigma 40 1.4, 20 1.4 and 14 1.8)

Then I saw the Nikon ZF: I could have it the day after I order it, I would have some buttons on it, adapt lenses with the ftz I already have, pay just 1600.- but I would miss the reason I want the Sany: low light video... Should I just buy the ZF and that's it?
Just by looking at people menu diving on youtube makes me want to go with Nikon for even less money. What do?

Ridiculous thermal design. They do it on purpose. How come my phone can record 4K60 for as long as the fucking storage lasts? No wonder the camera market has collapsed, this shit doesn't compete with its primary use case to the secondary use case of mobile phones in the last 8 years. The iPhone 7 or 8 had 4K60 video recording built in. Why are camera companies so disconnected from reality here?
>>
>>4390919
Because your phone is doing so with a sensor smaller than a chili bean, 8 real
megapixels and 4 stops of actual dynamic range augmented by AI hallucinations and fake HDR stacks. This generates 0 heat.

In REAL videography 4k60 is only used for short slow motion takes played in 30fps because it looks like shit played back at 60fps, so no one gives a shit about how long a camera can record 4k60 for except nitwits on youtube who rely on high framerates and crazy high shutter speeds to make gyro data stabilization look less ass.

Please remember the primary market for real cameras is professionals who know what they are doing not “tech bros” who think ___ would be cool and theres no excuse not to have $arbitraryandworthlessimprovement (ie: thinner phone) because its “the current year”

well I managed to find one and I bought it, it's cuet :3

but the adapter I bought with it actually is a speedbooster lol
I will take this as an opportunity to test how much are covering my lenses starting with the niggor 45 2.8 tilt-shit I guest... :DDD

i have a ZV-E10 that I just bought. it 100% overheats if filming 4k BUT the Ulanzi fan for $40 lets it go until the card fills up (I'm in michigan where it's winter though).

however, the fan is audible in the recording. You can fix it in audacity but it does lower your audio quality a bit. If you have the bones, I'd say get the FX 30

admittedly I have not actually stressed it without the fan.

here's some sped up video I took with the kit lens to figure out what shutter speed I should use to not get banding: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhtJAY6HlFA

(1/40 which is fuckin weird and no one can explain it)

I nearly used two batteries consecutively while testing the ZV-E1 and I had zero overheating problems

500 dollarinos means you're sifting through the electronics corner in charity shops. New entry-level cameras start at $1000.

Your phone. Maybe a GR.

If you just want a camera, buy whatever seems cool to you. If you're serious about creating images, save up for an entry level mirrorless full frame.
