People that use Photoshop Generative Fill, what do you use it for outside of using it as a form of content-aware fill on stereoids? Stuff like uncropping/filling in missing portions of panoramas, and removing people/logos/text.
>>4394867this is /p/ not /g/
Its useful for filling in small gaps and repeating patterns which CAF wont do properly. It also attempts to replicate the lighting in the scene, which is clever. But if you try to use it for larger replacements, it starts to have issues, and its impossible to make it work well. Even with the enhance detail feature in the variation thumbnails, you get low res results. I know you can replace selections in smaller chunks to get them higher resolution, but you shouldn't have to. I know Adobe are struggling to keep up with all the cloud processing, and are even considering a credit system to slow down the flow, but people are PAYING for this feature. I know you can use it to expand the edges of an image, but what's the point if you're just expanding into sludgy low res space? For now its a handy patching tool which, hopefully, they will boost up going forwards. But knowing adobe they wont. There are features in Photoshop which are 15 years out of date and they haven't shown any sign of updating them. Adobe are going to have to embrace Ai and improving the usability of their key programmes if they want to compete going forwards. They keep on putting useful simple features in Lightroom instead of photoshop and its just starting to piss me off. Photoshop is the real deal, Lightroom is the autistic little bastard brother. Stop showering him with gifts just because hes thick.
>>4394877Thought it was more photography related since its about post-processing/editing photos and not A.I. generating from scratch.
>>4394879To answer your question then:I don't use it at all since it has nothing to do with photography. It is digital painting by AI, nothing more.
>>4394882Have you not seen the post?? Its used to edit photos in a constructive manner to add to the photo, not let A.I. imagine unnecessary bullshit.I'll link this showcase of breakdowns on how amazing it has been when dealing with quick street photography where you don't have much wiggle room to set up a tripod and capture for a couple minutes to edit out people from clean plates.https://www.artstation.com/artwork/3Ednro
>>4394884It's an ai painting in what it thinks should fill space>street photographyI'll see myself out of this thread
>>4394884shit like this is why people say photographers are just failed painters jesus. >i don't want the people in the picture!then learn to draw and you can create an image of something you see but without people in it. if you don't want to capture what you see then you don't want to take photos
>>4394867>>4394878>>4394879>>4394884fuck off retard
>>4394878Yeah pretty much. I don't even bother doing the trick of uncropping on a tileset base because it breaks the ability to fully capture the scene and uncrop from a perspective base. So my way is to uncrop the image altogether then utilize Stable Diffusion's Ultimate SD Upscaler with a model like Juggernaut (for photos) to upscale the image and refine/reimagine bits. I usually upscale from 1344-1536p based on how out of focus the edges of the image are to the resolution needed for the final image. I usually go between a denoising strength of 0.25-0.4 depending on the complexity of the details. For example for this photo of a Honda Oddysey I went with 0.35 for the most part but composited in some bits from 0.4 and 0.3 for the transitioning to the gravel. I got a breakdown of this here: https://streamable.com/kuaxxvAlso what features in Lightroom am I missing out? Tbh Camera Raw Filter bridges the gap anyways with stuff like its amazing color grading and adjustments toolsets and masking adjustments that makes a lot of Photoshop's own adjustments tools out of date. So I guess you're right there, but as long as I don't have to program hop for the majority of things then I'm fine as such. I only use Lightroom to give me color grading presets and/or bulk color grade multiple images.

>only namefags/tripfags like ai generative crapHow unsurprising
>>4394889Well yeah the low resolution before, after is the bottom.
>>4394895Bullshit and obvious bait.
>>4394890Too bad I'm enjoying uncropping album covers as wallpapers.
