How can I do street photography of people without looking like a creep or having the cops called on me? Do I just need to hide and use zoom lens?

In the US you have every right to take pictures in public. Just be confident, don’t be a creep, get in a flow, work close and keep moving. It’s not that fuckin hard people. Chill out.

Alan Schaller is the perfect example of "just don't be a creep". If you see a photo of him he looks like the kind of guy that would rub one off on oblivious women in the underground.
