How can I do street photography of people without looking like a creep or having the cops called on me? Do I just need to hide and use zoom lens?
>>
>Cops called for taking photographs
Is this a thing?

>how do I hide my creeplevel as a creep streetshitter to take pervy photos without being nooticed
>>

Wear black pants, black cap, black polo shirt. Now you're a professional or a pap and people don't want to get in the way of someone working.
>>
>>4395545
black or dark gray hoodie
baseball cap
black or dark blue jeans
sony rf style camera with all the logos and shit taped over with black gaffers tape
and heres the part you dont expect - use a mid range zoom lens. not a small prime. a flash helps too. it is the most generic young professional setup ever.

no one will give a shit about your presence. they will assume you are a journalist at the absolute most. if you can carry two cameras do so.

Watch this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjuP527Xt2Q

And pretty much refrain from doing ANYTHING this guy does.

Dress nicely, don't look like a bum, use a long lens and don't get too close to people.

OBSERVE! People who don't like to get their photos taken are not that hard to spot.

Protip - if a guy walked up to me while I was eating and took a photo, I'd probably break his jaw. Respect boundaries.
>>

But then jews wont like you because you’re not treating nonjews like zoo animals

He's a shithead but does he really dress poorly? Most people his age definitely don't wear a blazer. Sure the colours are little dated and bummy looking other than that he's dressed fine.

That blazer looks like he got it form Salvation Army.

Which he probably did.

Travel with a group.
Just be an "idiot tourist", and turn away and snap some buildings if any of your subjects start looking at you funny.
Pretend like you don't notice and smille and chatter with the rest of the group.
You'll get away with anything.
>>
>>4395578
I think it's just the colour making it look dated. It's not dirty, torn or dishevelled. The fit might be a bit dated too I guess, I think the modern look is to prefer a slimmer fit.
>>
>>4395582
>I think the modern look is to prefer a slimmer fit.
Yes.

However, the tryhard artiste look is creepy, unless you're really good-looking.

Dressing like a normie is the safest bet.

in the united states yes

>How can I do street photography of people without looking like a creep or having the cops called on me?
Just be handsome.

Yes. If you're ugly. (below 7/10)

Just wear picrel and glide around the streets on an e-scooter. They can call the cops but they have to catch you!
>>
In the US you have every right to take pictures in public. Just be confident, don’t be a creep, get in a flow, work close and keep moving. It’s not that fuckin hard people. Chill out.
>>
>>4395652
Unironically this seems like a a great idea. Just point and shoot!
>>4395666
Just like you have freedom of speech and right to bear arms. Doesn't mean freedom from the consequences of being a creepy bastard.
>>
>>4395667
Yeah obviously. Use your brain. Street photography requires street smarts. But the number one way not to improve your street photography is by talking about it on a forum. Just get out and make pictures.
>>
>>4395545
go to the gym and get buff enough that either ppl mistake you for an undercover or would be too scared to confront you (most ppl in general are scared of confronting threats; look more threatening)
>>
>>4395652
Even the eyes behind that mask lack the sovl
>>
do we really need to have this thread every month?
>>
Alan Schaller is the perfect example of "just don't be a creep". If you see a photo of him he looks like the kind of guy that would rub one off on oblivious women in the underground. Yet on videos you see he's a chill guy and he gives good vibes in general.

The more you hide, the creepier you will look. Be outgoing. If you take a picture of someone, tell them afterward and ask if it's okay to keep it.
>>
>>4395785
I use my flip-out screen and keep the camera low, roughly at the knees. No one has any fucking idea they've being photographed.
>>
>>4395706
It helps that he is clearly an artist, wisecup comes off as a potential serial killer
>>
>>4395805
He appears too stupid to pull of an actual series of murders.
>>
>>4395793
That's fine, but letting people know is both courteous and helps you look less creepy to those who do notice.

Stop caring what people think, if they call the police then so what? You have no expectation of privacy in public, take all the pictures you want

I really wonder why there aren't more movies shot in first person.
Love it or hate it, Hardcore Henry was pretty innovative.

Or have the biggest blob on the market, a huge zoom lens, and wear a hi-viz vest.
