Never upgrade to your dream camera. Always stay on the camera that was previously your dream camera. Why? 1. So you it’s only half a bummer when you break it. At least you can look forward to upgrade to I got my 5dmk4 when my 5dmk3 accidentally fell from the ship into the atlantic ocean. I will upgrade to the gfx100ii when Fagyfilm or Snoy release the first camera with the 247mp sensor or when my 5dmk4 breaks[EXIF data available. I have a crazy idea instead OP. Why not just take care of your gear instead? Another idea, if your dream camera is expensive, get insurance on it and then treat it like a bargain bin point n shoot.
>>4398618Either when it breaks or when the <next dream camera after that> came out.
>>4398618>Why not just take care of your gear instead? You're not making the best pics you can if you don't break some gear every now and then. Both because of how much you use it and how much action is involved when you do use it.
>>4398630See idea #2.
>>4398630You're not making any pics if you camera is in the ocean retard. You're not some fuckin commando for holding a camera off a boat, you're a retard for dropping it.
>>4398782The 5dmk4 is *8 years* old at this point. I bet you upgrade faster than every 8 years.
>>4398795I shoot real estate with a 5D mark 2 so you're wrong about that too. Any other retarded things you wanna say?
>>4398616Buying previous gen flagships used has always been best bang for your buck. This isn't a new insight. It's all that /p/ talks about all day.
>>4398616Upgrading to my dream cameras was the easiest way to kill GAS. Grass is always greener until you try everything you want and it stops getting greener.Everyone should rent their dream setups for a little bit, and then they'll know exactly what they really need.
