How easy is it to get a white background like this? Is this literally just something like this https://www.amazon.com/GFCC-Polyester-Photography-Background-Graduation/dp/B07FXJN5L1 ? Anything I should know if I want a very similar texture to pic related? I'll be shooting this in my room (moving my bed out). I have a large window on one side and a wall on the other. Would it be best to block natural light with blackout curtains and instead focus on actual professional lights?

Lastly what makes this picture so good beyond the subject? Is it all post processing? Pic related just seems so detailed. It's really cool.

Im a beginner and looking to shoot some promo images. Photographers in my area have been pissing me off so I'm just going to do this myself. I have a unlimited budget (not actually, but I can invest big if I can get something cool). I'll be using a Canon R8 with a Canon RF35mm. In the end I'll probably just experiment, but some low hanging fruit tips are appreciated.

It's just a product photo. Infinity background. You get the exact same look on a smaller scale with posterboard and flash with umbrella.

there's a few ways you could do this

1. the RIGHT way is generally you need 3x lights, 2x for the backdrop (flagged using V-flats) and 1x for the subject, up high. (picrel)
1x paper roll and a backdrop stand if you don't want to build a cyclorama (which, face it, unless you own a studio, nobody needs)

2. you could in theory get away with 1x main and 1x for the backdrop, just have enough distance to control any stray bounce from the backdrop

3. personally, I used a 1200w/s strobe on a cyclorama in a massive octa (2.5m IIRC) and that had a similar effect, just needed to even out the background and clean up any defects as it wasn't blown out
