Anons I'm having an issue where I want to do everything. I want to do nature photography, architecture, wildlife, night sky, stormy rainy weather, everything except street, portrait and product. How do you focus?

Yeah OP you can kind of do most of that with a full frame body, a kit lens, a fast prime for night/lowlight and a telephoto for wildlife.

There'll be one of these on every new frog and gear thread until I'm tired or someone takes the task
>>
>>4399324
Just take more photos and you'll see what you really like most. I bet a large part of the desire is simply to try new things, and once you get that out of your system, you can identify what you actually like to shoot.

Why are people calling this a gear thread? Has nothing to do with it.
>>4399324
Do it all for now and focus later. If there's ever a subject that grabs your attention just go try it. Here's the thing, most people end up with even more specific interests than "wildlife photography" for example. Right now I'm focused on just one species of bird in one local park, and I'm trying to capture a specific behavior in specific lighting conditions (back lighting). But at first birding wasn't even my main or secondary focus in photography. So I say don't worry about it and just take what you can and enjoy the process and your results. Focus will come with time.

Well at least this isn't a "I've been photographing for a whole year and I'm burnt out because I haven't made a trillion dollars yet" thread
>>
>>4399324
just try the things you like and find out of if you like them in theory or you actually like them. learn by doing.
