>>4460437Been getting back into film recently. Trying to ascertain the condition of this guy >>4463190idk it's just fun. I got some stuff on my other camera I haven't pulled off yet. the lab also has a roll of expired film. found another one that's been shot but not developed. then they'll get the roll that's in the above camera as well when I can finish it. They're a bit slow but it's OK. small local place. real mom and pop feel.
tried to use d5600 at night it might be over for me
>>4460789Goddamn this is cool>>4460728I like the framing and colors, nice job>>4460575Atmospheric, great>>4460939Lovely
>>4463242Based D5600 enjoyer. You can get good night photos but you'll want a prime lens on it. I'd also argue you made that image overexposed and made it look more like a phone HDR photo than a true night photo. Lower the exposure by 1 stop and it'll look better.

>>4463879Money down this was shot on fuji.
>>4463880Why?
>>4463880Joke's on you, poorfag, it was shot on a Leica with a Leica-brand lens.
>>4460437What's more suitable for photographing a protest: 18-35mm or 50-135mm?
>>446393050-135mm would definitely be safer, but then you'd miss out on those kino wide angle mid-chaos shots.
swoosh
reclaim it
>>4463985Framing tips? I couldn't get closer with my 45mm M4/3 without scaring them off the log :(
Would a CPL filter help me with glossy car photos? I like the shine but it caused glare at a lot of angles. I'd like to shoot some car shows
>>4463985>>4463987>>4463988Bekfast
>>4463988Yes definitely get a cpl for cars unless you want a flare effect. Alternatively underexpose 1/2 a stop and bump it back up in post as needed.
>>4463988CPL is almost absolutely necessary for cartography. But you gotta remember you need to get the angle from the light (sun normally) at 90* or close to it and also rotate the filter as you change your positioning. A bit of work but you get used to it and it's worth it. Please don't buy the shittiest CPL if you're using anything longer than a 50mm; we've had several anons show that the bottom-barrel filters will make your photos look like smeary shit because of the sub-optimal glass. i.e. don't slap a $8 amazon CPL on a $300 lens and expect it to hold water.

Was kind of trying something but didn't love the overall composition. Any opinions?
>>4463930Depends on your goal. Scale of the event or individual moments, also as the other anon said safety.
i hate image limits
>>4464058noice instinct, Mayenne
>>4464066I’m indifferent to it as-is but perhaps if you were *much* closer to that guy the composition would be more compelling, more interesting. All the buildings in the background would ideally stay in the same perspective but if you were closer to him and he filled more of the frame on the right-hand side he would also seem “larger-than-life,” like another building dominating the landscape. Talk is cheap, though.
>>4463948>>4464073I went with the 18-35mm. I suppose it’ll be better for taking photos on tight city streets. Turns out, though, that SDXC cards are not compatible with the K10D. Neat!
it tall
>>4464077Appreciate the feedback
>>4464076Checks out, I was hesitating with Normandy. The architecture is quite distinctive tbqh
>>4464024>$300 lensI did not ask for this mental Jenna flashback, but I thank you nonetheless.
>>4464091the one below (>>4463979) is Pornic, southern Bretagne to some extent, which is interesting aesthetically, as soon as you cross south of the Loire the roofs are usually tiled and not slated but it's a bastard zone where you can have both (as in pic related (pic of myself taken by the sis))
>>4464096I've visited many areas in my country but Vendée is one of the few I haven't set foot in. Looks much less interesting for photography than Bretagne, marais poitevin could be a cool place though. Have you tried taking photos of Vendée?
>>4464103>Have you tried taking photos of Vendée?unfortunately not with good gear (fucking iPhone 5 SE) but I plan to revisit the "Port du Collet" at the northernmost frontier of vendée in Bouin, in the middle of a zone called the "Marais Breton" (counterintuitively), it's so photogenic you have no idea

>>4464125looks quite generic to me. I'd miss some mountains too
>>4464214no shit, they’re flatland marine swamps, there’s beauty in a dull muddy flatland, it’s your role to find it
>>4464229What I mean is that flatlands offer way less interesting perspectives for landscape photography and hiking in general. Not my cup of tea, it made me feel a quite unsatisfied when I lived in the northwest.
