>>4470747It looks like micro four thirds doesn't it. Even after he turns on sharpening.>>4470744This looks like mft too. The pukey dull magenta poisoned greens are most of it, and it looks like a PNS after being sharpened and NRd in photoshop. MFT cameras all have a heavy green tint and get automatic magenta in white balance (whether the editor hides this fact or not) that makes greens dull and yellow and makes all the colors weird because adding magenta to cancel out the green just leaves a void where the actual color would have been, most noticeable on green. But you can see some purpling in the shadows too.

>>4471811Rules in art lead to creativity. I think what the other anon was upset about is a photograph may not show artistic intent. Or may not convey anything to an audience. But that's just his subjective experience, and the fact other anons like it means the original poster was onto something. Isn't it a saying that everyone has one or two good photos in them before they die? Anyone can have a happy accident when they're shooting; it's about tuning your intuition and using the toolbox at a photographer's disposal to convey something with your image, or communicate a concept with art.I made this because I wanted to experiment with motion blur and depth of field, while making a comment on chance and randomness (the cards). I don’t think it really looks good “objectively” because it needs a different setting (table and chairs in a smoky room) with better composition; it was just personally fun to colour match and motion blur for what I wanted: a crazy person moving their head as they play cards. It shouldn’t be on my bed, I know, and it would be better if I had a tripod in a better position. It should even be in a casino or something with onlookers seemingly unphased by the demonic, blurred face.Sorry to butt in, just wanted to share what I’m thinking about with relation to photography and creative decisions.

>>4472520>>4472529Why do soocs of greenery always look so underwhelming? Our brain needs that increased saturation, doesn't it?
>>4472568greenery is a bad subject
>>4472568>>4472585unless you're really careful in terms of composition a bunch of leaves at varying distances is always going to look busy and unpleasant
>>4472585This is counterintuitive to me, because in real life, greenery is very nice.
>>4472601Its a digislug problem. CFAs garble greenery into an indistinct mess. You can chase megapixels and lens sharpness forever and it will never look quite as good as you saw it until you’re up to a $50k phase one trichromatic back or doing trichromes with a 50mp+ monochrome sensor. It’s a technological limitation of digital tries to register color and detail at the same time. Foveon is a noticeable improvement as is pixel shift if somehow nothing moves, not even atmospheric distortion… which never happens. On film, greenery looks amazing.

>>4470815I would have taken a step back so the traktor isn't cut off, but even then, the composition isn't that interesting. I would have walked around a bit to find a different angle and just not taken the photo if I couldn't find a good one.>>4470816>>4470817Is this a 50mm lens? Look at how you're tilting the camera down ever so slightly, so the vertical lines aren't vertical. Very common issue in the 35-60mm range because you're very close to a standard fov, so the subtle up or down perspective just looks weird and wrong. If the tilt is obvious and pronounced like looking up at a skyscraper with a wide angle lens, then your brain can kind of categorise it as looking up or looking down. If it's almost straight but not quite, then it just looks off>>4470818Nice subject and angle but the perspective a bit wonky again and the shot is too tight. Was there something at the edge of the frame that you wanted to exclude to get more of a clean shot? I wouldn't be so scared to include some uninteresting shit at the fringes if that's the only way to give my main subject some space. Also the colour in the sky is hella weird, start using presets or film sims, or better yet, just shoot film
>>4470709this shit is beautiful and I love transit
