This is the worst post-processing you could have possibly applied.
>sharpening halos all over the background
There's actually less detail in the feathers and wood grain than if you hadn't sharpened all the way to 100, and you didn't crop out the one-fifth of that post on the left-hand side. This is seriously so bad.

I wonder what New York would be like if it had remained Dutch.
>>
>>4475027
>I wonder what New York would be like if it had remained Dutch.

Severely underdeveloped? The British used a lot of Empire wealth to develop the city after 1664, and it became a huge trade port and naval base. If the Dutch had held on to it it would have been a small trading hub and eventually folded into the British colonies anyway.
>>
>>4475033
I'm not sure about severely underdeveloped. The Dutch Republic was incredibly wealthy, and even today the Netherlands is wealthier (per capita) than the United Kingdom by a significant margin.
The population may be smaller, but even then the location would guarantee a level of importance as a trading hub.
And the population may even grow more significantly considering the Huguenots, Flemish and various Low German peoples having the chance to move their.
>>
>>4475041
The Dutch didn't tend to set up sizable colonies like the British and French did. Their interests were predominantly mercantile. They simply didn't have the Manpower to do it.
>>
>>4475047
I noted that it didn't purely have to be settlers from the Dutch republic filling up this alternative New Amsterdam. There were plenty of disaffected protestants across parts of France, Flanders, and Germany. To be fair, there were also English dissidents who may have considered setting up colonies under the flag of Nieuw Nederland given the religious tolerance.
The passengers on the Mayflower did choose Leiden beforehand as their place of refuge.
I do understand that the interests of the Republic were largely mercantile, but that's part of the fun with alternate history, what if there was one colony which was different?

Full manual isn't really the go to. AV mode or M with Auto ISO is most common I'd say. I go with the latter and just have a dial for EV comp when needed.
>>

Full manual isn’t torture but literally any other mode is for me. Manual is literally aperture priority, shutter priority and ISO priority all in one all the time. It’s only torture because you don’t know, I assume, how to decide which setting to change to increase or decrease the amount of light you get. Priority modes simplify your decision making. Program mode is when you decide before the fact what settings to use in certain lighting.

Honestly, manual just werkz. If I want to prioritise shutter speed, I can do that; if I want to prioritise aperture, I can do that. Just stop adjusting the wrong setting.

What I actually can’t decide on as my go-to is my focus mode: MF, AF-S or AF-C; centre point or 11-point? (I have an old DSLR). I think I need to go back to manual focussing for now, at least while I still have this camera. The AF on the K10D can lock on but still look very soft after the fact. I’m not sure if it needs an adjustment. I’ll need a cardboard thingo for that. Anyway, manual mode just werkz.

Met this cutie in a city park, next to the abandoned section of the local apiary.
Which explains why she looks so well-groomed and well-fed, compared to all the other strays around.
Apiary's staff probably takes care of her.
Autumn really suits her colors.

Karen is basically an anti-white slur
>>
>>4475992
Are you serious?
I am a eurofag (white (kek)) but here Karen just stands for women who over estimate their role and influence in life, generally, and practice a rather harsh tone in conversations
>>
>>4476000
Yeah but they chose a stereotypically white name for that
>>
>>4476000
NTA but Karen in the US is used almost exclusively on whites.
>>
>>4476010
that's because the non-white karens degrade themselves into lower tiers
>>
>>4476010
>>4476003

So fucking what? It is a stereotype performed by almost white women only. I don't see the connection of that to be "anti white". It's just anti Karen.

I could say the same thing for black women with very huge asses that they shake around. I call them Latishass! And I may add, that I find this behaviour blunt and not sexy at all.

That then only counts for this specific behaviour which white ladies probably won't perform that often.
This has nothing to do with black people in general though, where surely at least some don't swing their asses this way. I never saw it in my country or in other euro countries at least.

I did some more agressive editing on the first image, but I'm not sure about the result
sure it might be more impactful, but beyond a certain point it's just fake shit right that has nothing to do with reality no?
one thing I definitely missed at first though is the lens profile correction
>>
>>4476121
Getting your eye used to grading, finding nice balance in colors shadows contrast light etc takes a long time, just have fun with it. For me its about creating a real mood/atmosphere that the original pic lacked, i also like imitating movie grades, with some 1/2.35 ratios.
i think its really a useful skill

Here's an example of the stuff I try on my pictures, here i went for a blue dramatic look, a bit ominous, a blue green tint, less light, making the fog take more place in the picture, and some black bars which dont belong here but shows an example of what i would do sometimes
>>
>>4476131
I like anon's pictures better, not convinced by your film filters especially for landscapes desu, I don't think they add anything interesting.
I think this photo mostly lacks a definite subject. If the cliffs were the subject I think I'd prefer a different perspective. If the foggy peaks were the subject I'd probably prefer reframing and keeping the upper part.
>>
>>4476135
I think you’re retarded. The mountain is obviously the subject on account of it taking up nearly the whole frame.

Since I use photoshop to grade my photos I never bothered to look up tutorials, but I'm sure there's awesome ones out there.
For the cinematic look I lower the exposure until I can still see something and have the highlights managable, i kill the highlights, try to have something not so blown out, try to get something that isnt white, or a new thing I found is lifting up the shadows and then bringing them back down in the curve option. Makes the shadows a bit more vibrant

This looks pretty dystopian.
You realy came close to your Sci/fi idea.

Wandering all life throug thicc red clouds with nothing else but a headlamp, pushed to keep walking by screaming sounds behind you.

When is it going to end?
Is there an end?
To understand the purpose you have to keep walking, so you do.

You´ve got a name for it?
Flame hills
