>>472799011This is true. I actually worked as a pool cleaner for a couple years. Chlorine is supposed to kill bacteria, viruses ect, but it's only effective when the PH level is correctly balanced. Once 2 or 3 people enter a pool the PH level starts to change immediately and chlorine stops being effective. The only way to correct the PH is by adding muriatic acid but this can only be done when the pool is empty and it has to stay empty for a few hours after adding the acid. In my experience almost no hotels or resorts actually do it till the end of the night. Meaning most pools are absolute cesspools 90% of the time. I never swam in s public pool again after that job...
