Neither one has any chance of achieving their desired goals. None, zero, zilch, nada. Ukraine will not take back every last inch. Russia will not overthrow Kiev and install a puppet government. Both have moved the goalposts on their endgame several times, and even then will still come up short.the best assessments in the early war predicted that both sides had the stocks and manpower to keep going until about 2025, and they're starting to look pretty fucking accurate at this point. The attritional war has ground both sides into compromising every day at every operational level. It takes about 3-5 years of training for F-16 pilots to be considered "combat proficient" and they've had like 6 months. Even worse, it takes 5-7 years for mechanics to become fully proficient. The attrition rate of these planes is going to be insanely high just because the airframes will be piling on hours.A handful of 50 year old fighters aren't going to massively slide the dial in Kiev's favor. They will at best let them more easily and more accurately fire a few dozen long range missiles they've been saving, and perform air interdiction a bit more easily. They will NOT be achieving air superiority because of a few F-16s (or even 100 of them) nevermind be able to pull off the kind of air supremacy bombing campaign that the US used in Iraq (twice) to easily roll through layer after layer of defenses.
