So why do Indians just follow this rigged system that says you have to reincarnate in order to get a better life and in meanwhile you have to clean shitter

It's pretty much correct
You're born into a slot, most likely a Shudra, and only through Herculean effort are you able to change that.
Even then, you likely only to go up one slot.
Herculean effort to up one slot, man it sucks being mortal.

Religions are all corrupted to lend legitimacy to the state. The caste system is just an example of that. The ones that didn't allow themselves to be used in this way were forced underground and became occult teachings.

How would they know what caste someone is in? Does it go by color or something?

Reputation and profession I think

Initially eas by color [varna] but with time things get complicated.

Each caste was put into their own natural ancestor's duty.
Farmets were put into farming, because their ancestors farmed.
Warriors were put into warring, because rheir ancestors warred.
It is THAT simple.

born into it
theoretically, you can move up a caste like >>475709894 said but its really hard to cover up your mannerisms and all that

not sure how it is with the indians in other countries but here, the caste system within the indian community is pretty much gone

This is BS and not part of the Vedic teachings (which is all that matters). The Bhagavad Ghita literally states that where your mind is when you die is exactly where you end up. To escape the cycles of this world completely ones thoughts must be with the godhead.
