Well, what happened there back in 1917: the revolution, the Bolsheviks?

Yes, there is no one: everyone has disappeared. And the USSR has been gone for a long time - 32 years. But story never passes without a trace: what remains is the nuclear shield, the best army in the world, nuclear energy, achievements in space, education and, oddly enough, the Soviet people.

And who would we be without all this?

What remains of Tsarist Russia? As Rozanov said - literally nothing.

To the extent the Soviet Union had any positive achievements ALL OF THEM either occured under Stalin or shortly after he died due to stuff he did and they were not because communism per se worked but because Stalin was very smart in other decisions he made in spite of his retarded economic theory... especially his decision that virtually every other true believing communist except for him in Russia needed to die.

I hate communism but its western commie cope to blame Stalin for most of the crimes of the Bolsheviks, Stalin only became dictator in practice (in theory he was never dictator) in 1937 after he finally managed to purge the party of the Old Bolsheviks (ie the Jewish and otherwise non Russian psychos who were mass murdering everyone else) and after that Bolshevik mass murder did not rise but fell.

Future executions tended to be directed against people in the government or against ethnic groups in border regions that Stalin suspected would defect to the enemy in the event of wars but there were no more random campaigns to kill ordinary Russian peasants and the like.

Centuries of culture, heritage, and tradition. Also all of Siberia.
