Nah, a torrent is an unreliable way to get the IP. Because if you have an active torrent, it's searchable. There are even bittorrent search engines where you can put in text like JAV and see torrents. So someone has deniability, they can say they found the video this way and not through 4chan.A more reliable method is to use website links. These links would not be accessible anywhere before you make the thread, then you share it and you'll be able to fingerprint the browser/OS as well as IP. With a couple of these link harvesting threads you could definitely pin down certain Anons, especially due to browser fingerprint.That said, this site has been compromised by glowniggers since 2012. They don't need to use links or torrents to get IPs. They can just look in the logs of the site themselves. Such "tools" were added due to the board being flooded with CP. The CP problem was used in order to give the ultimatum: give special access to glowniggers or we pull the plug.Glowniggers don't like actual torrents. I'd seen it several months ago, a Swedish Anon was trying to share an archive Hitler's speeches. The heebs managed to take down his mega.nz link but the torrent kept going. All the heebs could do was say that IP was being "harvested" and that the download had CP hidden in it (it didn't). They likely resorted to these tactics because they couldn't censor the torrent like they could with other ways he was trying to share it.
