Minor effortpost coming, tl;dr at the end. If you know elections are rigged, then why provide unelected bureaucrats the cover they need to keep the face going?

If you don't know, then allow me to tell you why it's rigged because any popular vote manipulation is the "small beans" part in all of this. The illusion of "democracy" started ages ago before slaves were even freed and America's parties fought each other to stop corporations from taking over politics, the advent of federalism alongside central banking that kicked off nearly two centuries of corporate lobbying. As anons likely know the federalists won and the FED was eventually established, corporate lobbying and NGO abuse became the norm for both mainline parties but perhaps not how that affected parties internally, it guaranteed that whoever benefited corporations/NGOs got wealthy, becoming the defacto nominees.

>tl;dr
>corps/NGOs bribe party leaders
>corps/NGOs donate to most useful sockpuppet candidates
>partisan conventions put those names on a ballot
>people cast votes for most "popular" sockpuppet in primaries
100% of the time this is the wealthiest contender regardless of party.

This is the baseline reason for why our nation is fucked but just back in 2020 SCOTUS ruled that states can replace electors that refuse to follow overall state popular vote. This effectively invalidates the electoral college's purpose of allowing electors to vote in line with their district's leanings and offset popular vote of a direct democracy.
