I don't like evacuations. I only evacuated for one storm. And that's because I had a small kid and my wife wouldn't shut the fuck up about leaving. We would have been fine. Just a few days without power. Evacyation isn't the silver bullet people tend to think that it is. Evacuate where? For how long? With what money? And then what. It's not the greatest solution. And for the most part it's unnecessary. And really, if a storm ever doubled back to DC or NYC or whatever they can't evacuate. There's too many people in a small area. It would be an apocalypse for them.
