When you don't have winnings on the battlefield for almost 2 years you have to win somewhere to satisfy NPCs.

A drone killed a soldier? Big WIN for UKRAIN.
A random soldier called a Russian mother to say mean things? Big WIN for UKRAIN.
Russia is tuning their economy doing an ordinary increase/decrease of rate? Big WIN for UKRAIN.
A random village dweller couldn't buy butter because it's been sold out and the next supply will be tomorrow? Big WIN for UKRAIN.

Yes, of course. Oh wait you can't! Because Ukraine is not posting any information about their losses at all. Such a wise decision when you want to hide your losses eh.
>>
>>486373447
For the Russian state victory is measured in area of landmass, not the amount of manpower lost by themselves relative to the enemy. The Ukrainians measure success in terms of material and personnel losses for the enemy relative to their own. As such both are slowly achieving their victory goals from their perspective. However Ukraine is closer to actual victory because they are knowingly giving up small morsels of land (but only in select areas, as some are intended to be held indefinitely) so they can inflict more and more losses on the Russian forces while taking little losses of their own. Russia's approach is to just keep expanding as much as they can, so really a pretty braindead retarded brute force strategy.
You see this in how Russians boast about how much land they have now, but when you think about the fact that this conflict started over ten years ago, it becomes very much clear that the landmass taken is pathetic for the amount of losses incurred and losses that are going to be incurred in the future.

Kvetching about casualties being secret would've worked if the Russian government wouldn't have claimed absurd casualties in tech and personnel with AFU. By default, all you have to do with an enemy like Russia is like a little less. It's war after all.

This is the same subjet not whataboutism

Whataboutism is when you start speaking of niggers or gay people when the initial subject was the war

>niggers or gay people when the initial subject was the war
No, it's called derailment.

>Because russian speaking is not pro russian dimwit.
Look, all I did was post a video of a Ukrainian officer in January 2022 commenting on the fact that Eastern Ukraine in general tends to be pro-Russia. Which is why they voted for a peace candidate(Zelensky). He is a Jewish comedian so he gave them war instead.

And now that the war has come, he refuses to let them leave the country, and kidnaps them off the streets. Someone posted an article earlier. It says 12% of soldiers are recruits, and that 160k more troops will only bring troop levels back to 85%(with 1 million current soldiers). Which means the current troop strength is ~69%.

https://news-liga-net.translate.goog/ua/politics/news/sekretar-rnbo-planuietsia-pryzov-shche-160-000-osib-tse-ukomplektuie-chastyny-do-85?_x_tr_sl=uk&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en-US

So let's do some quick math. Ukraine started with somewhere between 260-360k active-duty personnel prior to the war. Ukraine said they had increased that to 700k by July 2022. A few months ago, Syrskyi said Ukraine is significantly outnumbered by Russia forces at a time when Russia had about 520k troops in the field.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/article/2024/jul/24/i-know-we-will-win-and-how-ukraines-top-general-on-turning-the-tables-against-russia

So, 260-360k + 1.05 million draftees = 1,265,000 to 1,365,000 million soldiers. If Ukraine had significantly fewer soldiers than Russia(520k) in July 2024, that means Ukraine probably had around 400k. Moreover, if current troop strength is 69%, and assuming Ukraine's goal is to match Russia's Army, that means 69% of Russia's army(~600k) is about 400-450k current Ukrainian soldiers. That means Ukraine should have somewhere around 800k to a million total losses.

Or tell me what I got wrong.
>>
>>486374116
>Note the fact that none of this happens without Russia being willing to wage spurious wars costing millions of lives kek
They had no choice. This is an existential war for all parties.
>>
>>486374123
Then why did you post the definition of whataboutism? How is the comparison with the Russian casualty figures whaboutism?

>Russia is tuning their economy doing an ordinary increase/decrease of rate?
Come on now. Nothing about Russia's economy is """"ordinary"""" right now. The country has been completely cut off from roughly 80% of the world's economy by value. It has literal millions of individual sanctions placed upon it, and secondary sanctions enforced on those who help Russia try to circumvent them. It is reduced to a fucking barter system for INTERNATIONAL TRADE with a currency that's literally worthless to basically everyone. All of this happens against a backdrop of a dramatic retooling towards total war against Ukraine, in which a massive portion of its production is dedicated towards producing munitions and materiel... which get expended and destroyed at high rates in Ukraine. In other words, while the Russian economy is already hurting for reasons outlined above, it has to deal additionally with the fact that much of its domestic production is essentially waste, which goes on to produce no further value from trade and provides no benefit to future production.

Russia may be gaining ground, but Ukraine doesn't need to defeat it on the battlefield. War hasn't been about territorial gain since the 20th century. It's about politics and economics. Ukraine's path to victory is simply outlasting Russia. It can still win as long as we support it.

>This is an existential war
No, it isn't. Vlad needed to revitalize Russian national identity, true. His country was (and remains) stagnant, corrupt, and in a state of social decay. Because he can't and didn't want to undermine his own power, and that of the silovik gangster overclass, he started a war. War, after all, has a long history of national revitalization. Putin could have simply reformed society. He didn't want to do that, so he started a pointless war for his own benefit. At each and every point before that process was the option of reconciling with the West and pursuing these (real; extant) goals through methods other than total war. You cannot create the conditions of total war unilaterally and from whole cloth and then pretend that your unwillingness to take other measures is an existential threat. That's just retarded.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrCr0_E742k

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zf5xEBwBhds

Putin has tried to negotiate in the months leading up to invasion. All he asked for was Ukrainian neutrality. NATO refused. Russia invaded, then immediately sought a peace deal. Negotiations went on in Istanbul, and it was Ukraine who walked away(and murdered their own negotiator).

The idea that Putin wanted a war is completely fucking delusional. I don't even want to argue about it because anyone who still believes that after almost three years clearly doesn't want to know the truth, or is purely a fucking kike shill who doesn't care what is true.

>>486375496
I think it comes from a different cultural relationship to history. The endlessly memed Tucker interview, if we can even take it as an honestly-stated overall system of belief (always doubtful with politicians, but especially with Russian fags), implies an ideology in which history is as real and alive today as it was in historical times. It's an obsessive need to contextualize everything that happens today in what they think is an objective historical truth-paradigm. The problem is that while certain forms of history are scientific, a narrative is not science. Even if we take historical documents as fact, there is still the problem of the unknown unknowns which could be critical factors in the narrative we weave.

I think we are all vulnerable to this kind of arbitrary hyper-historicity, but Russians and their ideological commensurates seem to be especially so.

History is alive and it does shape past and future, yet when one approaches ideology and governance, one must look at present too. The civil servants aren't guided solely by history, they're guided by experience, situation, hell, even whether they had a nice shit in the morning. To put everything into this neat box of historicity and continuum of views as the sole driver for policy is retarded and redundant.

So the man who ordered his military into Ukraine... didn't want a war. It's delusional to assume that action follows desire? Personally speaking, when you feel like eating an apple do you often find yourself scratching your asshole? Is it not the literal foundation of behavioral logic that in a mentally-sound person, an action taken is an action desired? Why the actual fuck are we talking about this? Why was this a point you ever thought could be swallowed by... anyone?

You've dogmatized yourself retarded. You can no longer interact with reality as reality presents itself. You must categorically twist it and derange it into something that can fit into the narrow slot within your ideology-rotted brain.

Moreover, that the West would cut Ukraine off completely if they agreed to it(no NATO, no EU, no aid, no nothing). He is very obviously speaking about Russian perceptions. It says nothing about the possibility that Russian perceptions might be wrong, and that Ukraine joining the EU might not actually be a genuine, real existential threat to Russia. You seem to think that it implies something more than it does. In reality, Russia is acting irrationally. We know that, based on the comparatively more full and complete information we have, there is essentially zero risk of NATO invading Russia. We know this because it's full of Russia, and no one wants to be around a place that's full of Russians.

Russia believes otherwise, but consider the possibility (the fact, really) that no one was ever going to start a war against Russia.

1/Multiple sources have confirmed to me that the Kremlin was in direct contact with Musk in 2020, and that the USIC was made aware of that fact at the time.
https://x.com/davetroy/status/1851192138060440044

2/It is entirely likely he was “in network” prior to that through people like Dana Rohrabacher, with whom he was close. And there is some evidence to suggest Musk was involved as far back as 2016-2017.

3/So while it is difficult to say exactly when he was drawn into this operation, we can say with high confidence that it wasn’t recent, or a product of buying Twitter, or due to woke; the Kremlin activated him in 2020 and the USIC knew of the contact then.

4/Anyone credible who is working on this, please feel free to reach out for more info. davetroy.69 on Signal. Thanks.

It’s almost unbelievable to me that this was all known in 2020 — and I know this because I knew it, and I know the IC knew — and we did nothing about it. Yet here we are with a 5+ alarm fire a week before an election with a collapsed press and a feckless DOJ.

For those wondering “how could this happen” the simplest answer I can give you is that we basically quit doing serious counterintelligence after the Church Committee changes in the 70’s. While we still go after egregious cases where we have good intel, from what I’ve seen personally , “hot” cases (like Musk) that would make waves tend to get dropped under pressure from above, or slow-walked.

One can make a compelling argument that our lurch towards leniency was itself a product of active measures. But you also have clear FBI corruption, such as we have seen with McGonigal. Based on what I’ve seen, he is far from being unique; he’s just the one that got caught.

Yet again, Russian women are complaining and appealing to Vladimir Putin about their husbands being sent into combat unprepared, assigned to suicide missions without any plans for evacuation, and declared missing in action just to avoid paying out benefits. Translating this seems pointless—no one is watching or listening, and it’s so repetitive it could put you to sleep.

Will these people ever understand that Putin doesn’t care about their appeals in the slightest? Do they still not realise they’re dealing with a maniac who values no life but his own? Do they seriously think anyone is going to hear them out?

Ladies, they even sent two skilled UAV operators into a suicide assault, there was terrible wailing, and ultimately both were buried and forgotten. What are you even hoping for?

GREGGPOSTING 1/2

Update 30.10.2024:

Today’s update begins with the negative news regarding Selydove. The city fell surprisingly quickly due to a mistake during a troop rotation, leaving Ukrainian forces vulnerable. This failure is attributed to poor planning by high-ranking officers and a lack of proper communication between units. It is also suspected that Russian forces knew the rotation schedule, indicating potential insider leaks. Similar mistakes have occurred previously, such as in Vuhledar. Currently, the most intense fighting is on these two fronts.

On the positive side, in Toretsk, Ukrainian counterattacks are pushing Russian forces further from the city center, with Ukraine holding more resources here. Kurakhivka remains under Ukrainian control, despite continuous Russian assaults, including a recent failed convoy attack destroyed by Ukrainian drones and artillery. In northern Kharkiv, special forces continue to disrupt Russian units behind enemy lines, inflicting heavy losses. Meanwhile, operations in the northwest corner of Kursk continue, primarily involving the 47th Brigade.

Roman Buchkala, a journalist and anti-corruption activist, recently highlighted two key developments in an interview. First, Ukraine has successfully used long-range drones, capable of reaching 2,000 km, to strike Chechen training facilities. This has reportedly pressured the Russian leadership into considering negotiations, facilitated by Qatar, to spare energy infrastructure from attacks during the winter. Second, Ukraine is cracking down on corruption within the judicial system. Prosecutor General Kostin has resigned following a scandal involving bribery to exempt individuals from military service, with further investigations underway.

Lastly, Ukraine has launched a new mobilization of 160,000 recruits. While media reports may focus on those resisting conscription, it’s important to remember that every citizen has a duty to defend their country in some capacity, whether through combat, volunteering, or civil defense. Many roles support soldiers without requiring direct combat involvement.

However, according to a senior U.S. official, this is a "completely unrealistic request."

"The Tomahawk has a range of 1,500 miles (2,414 km), which is more than 7 times the range of the long-range missile systems called ATACMS that Ukraine received this year. And the United States has sent only a limited number of them." - the newspaper writes.

They literally cannot let the Crimea slip from their grass, it's a sound strategic consideration and if you look at the practice everything they do in Ukraine centres around their consolidation of the Crimea.

It's why the Kursk shenanigans caught them unaware and simultaneously didn't bother them much: In their mind it's so far from the relevant war goals that it could only ever be a temporary distraction.

El Pais writes that DPRK soldiers have arrived in the Kursk region: The Armed Forces of Ukraine may have struck the first strikes on North Korean positions.
https://x.com/wartranslated/status/1851318450444255262
In the Kursk region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine may have struck at the deployment of DPRK troops who joined the 40,000-strong Russian group. At the same time, the publication emphasizes that there is currently no information about the location of the strike on the North Korean military, nor any visual evidence that DPRK soldiers are in the combat zone at all.

Journalists' sources in the 95th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the North Koreans are unlikely to help the Russians change the situation in their favor in the Kursk region, as the vast majority of the Kursk group of the Russian army consists of recruits.

However, when she was reminded that it is ordinary Russian soldiers who kill Ukrainians every day, she replied: "Of course, people are fighting. But this is his war."

In a commentary for BILD, Roderich Kiesewetter, a foreign policy expert at the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU), said that Navalnaya "has no sympathy" for the Ukrainians being killed by Russia.

This fine was imposed on Google because the company failed to comply with the requirements to restore the accounts of 17 Russian YouTube channels, including Channel One, Russia 1, and others, as well as the YouTube channel of Margarita Simonyan. This amount doubles every Sunday.

An undecillion is a unit with 36 zeros, and 2 undecillion rubles is equivalent to 20 decillion dollars.

Did you notice how you've switched context-by-context from "existential threat" to "becoming an imperial power"? In what way, precisely, is failing to become an imperial power an existential threat to Russia? Russia could instead adjust to a new reality in which it's no longer the USSR. It's genuinely no one's issue that Russia has a faggy revanchist ideology but Russia's. It's sure as shit not Ukraine's.

I had no clue your logic was THIS fucking scattered -- no fucking shit Russia has imperial ambitions. Having the fee-fee that you should totally be an empire instead of a silovik kleptocracy is not a valid casus belli, for the record.

Will the budget give Defence the tools to do the job? To support our Allies? I doubt it. Labour had a choice. They chose to spend the money on other priorities. Some may say good but I say conflict is coming to the West and we need to be ready to stand up for our values. 2/7

An ill equipped armed force, hollow and without enablers ends up in Snatch land rovers. I fought and got £32bn extra for Defence on my watch. We need a continued rise through to 2030 to achieve all we set out in the Defence Command Papers. 3/7

Tomorrow in the budget remember it is all about priorities. Judge the government on that. Judge them on whether any extra money is real money or just Treasury tricks. The men and women of our armed forces will see through the spin because they will live it. 4/7

It isn’t about the size of the Army or the number of ships. It isn’t a “top trumps”. It is whether the UK can field and deploy and train a ready force that is 360 degrees in shape, fully enabled and more lethal than the enemy. 5/7

If the UK wants to lead in Nato and be expeditionary and be a nuclear power then it needs to put its money where its mouth is. It will need 2.5% by 2028 and 3% by 2030. If it doesn’t then fine but the PM needs to say so. 6/7

Too many incumbents of No.10, both Labour and Conservative, have wanted to talk the talk but never match it with ££. Our forces cant wait another year for another defence review and budget. Sir Keir Starmer needs to remember that Freedom isn’t free. 7/7

The U.S. denied entry to Russian journalists.

Maria Zakharova criticised U.S. authorities for not informing the Russian embassy about the detention of Russian journalists at an American airport. These journalists had come to cover the presidential elections.

She noted that an “Izvestia” cameraman was refused entry and deported, despite having all necessary documents. His visa was revoked for unspecified “administrative reasons,” and he was expelled from the country.

“This action, despite prior notification and official approval for the assignment, demonstrates a clear intent to use repressive measures to block inconvenient information,” Zakharova said.

>The cause of the fire at the plant in the town of Khotkovo has not yet been announced. Earlier this year, there was already a fire at the plant.

Would Ukrainians be interested in a peace deal where a permanent ceasefire is called, both sides keep their current holdings, and both presidents step down and hold fresh elections immediately? >In what way, precisely, is failing to become an imperial power an existential threat to Russia?
Russia isn't "becoming" anything. Russia is an imperial power. The United States is an imperial power. China is an imperial power. Europe would be an imperial power if it could(as it was before).

Empire is just the way the world works. It's always been that way, and it will always be that way, because only empires are strong enough to be independent.

The actual reason the Soviet Union lost the Cold War was because by the mid-80's it had no friends. The "Western system" on the other hand was being subsidized by cheap Chinese labor and cheap Muslim energy.

>>
>>486378893
The goals for the invasion were
1. Denazification and demilitarisation
2. Protection of russian speakers
3. Prevent NATO Expansion
4. Ensuring Ukraines Neutrality

Ukraine is more militarised now than before
Ukraine is more nationalistic than before
Russian speakers are dying more than before
NATO is larger and more united than before
Ukraine will (probably) not be neutral towards russia any time soon.

How is this a win for russia?

Redrocket I sincerely hope you stop paying for your internet access and go outside. The very fact that someone like you exists is depressing as fuck. Just go to the library or something, or go join some hobby group, maybe you'll find a gf, failing that, at least some fucking IRL friends. Anything to make you stop posting statistics and tl;dr screenshots of text at people on the internet who are well aware that you want to fuck your dog and your cousin.

You are a terminally online internet addict. You do nothing productive with your 40+ year old ass. You clearly have assburgers so gaining a circle of friends to do some autistic shit like 40k would be good for you.

Seriously man, just go do something with your fucking life. Please.

>Russia is an imperial power
lol
lmao, even
An imperial power that's lost hundreds of thousands of men over almost three years of deadlocked trench warfare against a fucking MINOR regional power directly on its doorstep. An imperial power this is not. Also, in this image you posted (>>486377552) Brzezinski says that by taking Ukraine, Russia "regains the wherewithal to become a powerful imperial state". Take note of the language he uses.
>regain
>wherewithal
>become ... powerful
Russia obviously isn't an empire. The USSR was an empire. It lost its territorial holdings (the ones of any value, at least kek) through economic mismanagement. It now wants to economically mismanage them again. To this end, it wants to control Ukraine so it can again have the "wherewithal to become a powerful imperial state". His Holiness Incarnate Brzezinski, you know, the Dude Who Writes Books, also thinks you don't know what you're talking about.

If you want to make the argument that Russia has substantially advanced its military power since 1997... I'll look forward to your insider knowledge on the success of the T-14 armata and Su-57 Felon programs kek
