More interest rate hikes incoming in the future:>Nabiullina did not rule out a sharper change in the key rate>Nabiullina allowed a sharper change in the key rate>The key rate as an instrument retains its effectiveness, but in the current circumstances more drastic changes are needed to make it work. This was stated by the Chairman of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina at a joint meeting of specialized committees in the State Duma.>According to her, the effect of the rate increase is “blurred by the influence of other factors”. Therefore, a “stronger change” in the rate may be needed in order to “achieve the required result” (quoted by TASS).>Nabiullina also revealed that the Central Bank is not going to “make any discounts” to achieve the 4% inflation target. This, according to the head of the regulator, is due to the fact that because of such growth, “people,” whose incomes are not growing rapidly, are suffering greatly. Business also suffers from this, added the head of the Central Bank.>October 25, the Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia raised the key rate from 19 to 21% per annum. This is the third consecutive increase in the key rate of the Russian Central Bank, and 21% is its maximum value in history. The previous record high of 20% was reached in February 2022, after the start of the military operation and the freezing of the Bank of Russia's foreign exchange reserves abroad.>Earlier Nabiullina indicated that the key rate responds to the growth of inflation. Moreover, the regulator considers further tightening of financial policy possible.https://www.rbc.ru/rbcfreenews/67232e7f9a7947c0a638fa4d

1/ Age, chronic physical illness, infectious diseases, mental illness, and becoming a single parent due to the death of a spouse are no longer valid reasons to end a contract with the Russian army. Now "they dismiss you only if you died or your limbs were torn off." https://x.com/ChrisO_wiki/status/18523176259147124402/ The Russian blogger Anastasia Kashevarova writes about the consequences of a decree automatically extending contracts indefinitely (they were previously valid for one- or two-year periods) and eliminating many categories under which people could leave early.3/ "1. Dismissal with category D + HIV/hepatitis/cancer. Soldiers and even female servicemen who are assigned category D – unfit for military service – contact us, but they are not dismissed from the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces.4/ "And in some cases they are even [sent to] the Special Investigation Department, although they are undergoing treatment.5/ "There is also a problem with the introduction of HIV, hepatitis and other diseases to healthy soldiers precisely from those who came as volunteers/contractors. Many recruiters turn a blind eye to diseases, do not even ask about the presence of diseases and do not check.6/ "This is how people with serious illnesses and mental disorders end up at the front. And some go specifically, hiding their illness, to receive a one-time payment and immediately resign from the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces, but as I already wrote, you can't resign.7/ "I will add that hepatitis, HIV, etc. can be brought to healthy soldiers both in hospitals and when they are in the same trench with such a soldier. But the Ministry of Defence does not treat this and does not eliminate the problem!!!!

Russia needs niggers:>Labor Ministry proposes to raise the quota for hiring foreigners by 1.5 times>Will it help to solve the problem of staff shortage?>The Ministry of Labor came out with an initiative to increase the number of quotas for qualified foreign workers by 50% in 2025, RBC has learned. The ministry justified it by the shortage of personnel and the use of imported high-tech equipment>In 2025, the quota for the attraction of skilled foreign workers arriving on the basis of a visa will be 234.9 thousand people. This follows from the draft government decree developed by the Ministry of Labor (RBC has the relevant materials signed by Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection Dmitry Platygin; their authenticity was confirmed by a source familiar with the content). For comparison: in 2024 the need to hire visa migrants was estimated 1.5 times lower and amounted to 155.9 thousand people, in 2023 - 124 thousand people.>Among the reasons for hiring foreign labor in the draft decree are the lack of necessary personnel in the regions and the introduction of imported equipment that requires maintenance and adjustment. It is assumed that migrants will be involved in the construction of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline and the gas processing cluster in Ust-Luga.>RBC sent an inquiry to the Ministry of Labor.1/?
>>486680526>1/ Age, chronic physical illness, infectious diseases, mental illness, and becoming a single parent due to the death of a spouse are no longer valid reasons to end a contract with the Russian army.8/ "The only clinic that treats hepatitis C is in Moscow and expensive drugs are given out for free only to Muscovites, and only to non-military personnel. That is, again due to the oversight of officials, healthy men get sick, and then the state screws them.https://x.com/ChrisO_wiki/status/18523176408170905839/ "2. Dismissal due to the maximum age. Commanders also do not accept reports and delay the dismissal process upon reaching the maximum age. There are not enough people, the use of human resources is irrational and therefore it is very difficult to resign.10/ "If you were dismissed, it means you were either just lucky or you had an adequate commander (which is worth its weight in gold in today's reality).11/ "We have cases when the prosecutor's office even issued an order to fire a person due to age. But they drag it out, keep them in the personnel lists, and everyone threatens to send them to the front.12/ "3. Dismissal if you become the only parent in the family (wife's death), or the father of three or more children.13/ "Very often, when they understand that contracts are automatically extended, some start to pump out more children [while they are] on vacation – I am generally all for it, but this will not be grounds for dismissal.14/ "The child will be born during the Special Military Operation, after you signed a contract or were mobilised, and you must be aware of the risks that you can die without waiting for dismissal, and your wife will be left alone with the children, and you see how difficult it…15/ …is for them to get the body issued, documents processed, etc. There is no guarantee that the state will meet you halfway, even the opposite. And your trick will backfire on your family.
>>486680649>Who will be hired?>The Government regulates the labor market and the number of foreign employees attracted to work in Russia. To this end, the Cabinet of Ministers annually approves quotas for hiring qualified migrants. Such quotas are valid only for foreigners arriving in the country on the basis of a visa, and fix the permissible volume of labor force attraction in the context of professional and qualification groups “taking into account the political, economic, social and demographic situation,” according to the draft decree for 2025. Their volume is determined on the basis of proposals of regional authorities, the total value of the needs of which is increased by 50% as a reserve.>The quota is formed according to the regions' applications on the basis of employers' applications, while the application must be approved by the regional interdepartmental commission, explained a source close to the Ministry of Labor. Applications are also considered by the interdepartmental commission, which includes representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Eastern Development and Rostrud.>According to the document, next year the greatest need is expected in qualified workers of large and small industrial enterprises: they will be allocated 74 thousand quotas (85% more than for the current year). Workers employed in mining, mining-capital, construction and repair and construction works will receive 43 thousand work permits (43% more than this year), operators, apparatus operators, machinists and fitters-assemblers of stationary equipment - 29 thousand (31% more than now).2/?
>>486680309goreleaf got gored.... [Z]ADDY NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>>486680676>Among other in-demand specialties in the draft resolution are workers in the metalworking and machine-building industries (23 thousand quotas) and unskilled workers common to all sectors of the economy (14.6 thousand invitations). Thus, skilled workers account for almost 94% of the total demand declared for 2025. Workers attracted in such an organized manner are skilled professionals who receive work visas for participation in specific projects, RBC's source emphasizes.>Where migrants will work?>The Ministry of Labor identifies three main reasons why Russian employers need foreign labor, follows from the explanatory note to the draft. Namely:Lack of personnel with the necessary qualifications on the territory of the region;the use of imported technological equipment that needs to be installed, adjusted and maintained by qualified foreign specialists;use of modern technologies in construction, compliance with the quality and terms of construction works.>To date, there is a shortage of labor force in the country, the document states. “In such a situation, employers are forced, on the one hand, to attract foreign workers for jobs not demanded by Russian citizens, thus not creating tension in the labor market; on the other hand - for those jobs, the replacement of which requires a level of high professional training, knowledge and skills, which for various reasons are absent from Russian citizens (the use of foreign technologies, modernization, etc.),” - stated in the draft resolution.3/5

"Disposable Soldier" Chapter 3, Deployment. City of V - Ukraine. Autumn '22. Original can be found here: https://endchan.net/.media/523c1e63e16c9ca9a21c77a2960065ab-applicationpdf.pdfPart 1/?That night almost no one slept. Nefrit, who had barely drunk before, got completely hammered and started playing old familiar songs on his guitar. But he didn't finish any of them, constantly losing the thread and starting something else. A soldier with the call sign "Shal" (Shawl) got into a fight with our company commander and was forcibly put to bed. Groups of mobilized men sat on their bunks, sharing stories and joking about our fate.Half-drunk, we packed our things – and there were a lot of them. We didn't know what exactly we would need at the front, so each of us had several large duffel bags with belongings. Many squads pooled their money to buy communal supplies, hoping to end up in the same positions near each other. Our battalion even had four large generators, which the battalion commander (ComBat) sold to us (yes, sold). Our ComBat, aptly nicknamed "Shprits" (Syringe), was a resourceful man. Over time, we started hearing more and more rumours about him trading humanitarian aid and military equipment. In the pre-dawn darkness, we started hauling all our gear out of the barracks and loading it onto vehicles. The vehicles transported most of our belongings and weapons to the train station. The chaos began right then. Loading and unloading in the army is a special kind of art form, too. The point is to cram as much as possible into the smallest possible volume. There aren't enough vehicles, and there's no time to make multiple trips. So, we stuffed things up to the ceiling of the trucks and stomped them down with our feet.
>>486680699>The need is mainly to fill jobs requiring professional qualifications, which reflects the trends in the development of the Russian labor market as a whole, the document specifies. It is assumed that meeting this need will be required, in particular, for the implementation of a number of major investment projects, such as:Power of Siberia gas pipeline;Amur gas chemical and Amur gas processing complexes;gas processing and gas chemical cluster in Ust-Luga settlement;a mining and processing plant at the Malmyzhskoye gold-copper deposit;a coal transshipment complex at the Elga seaport, etc.>According to Rosstat, the unemployment rate in August 2024 (the most up-to-date data) amounted to 2.4% - this is a historical minimum, which the indicator has held since June.>Will quotas solve the shortage problem?>The total estimate of 235 thousand quotas and invitations for entry for 2025 for foreign skilled workers fully corresponds to the average monthly number of open vacancies in the field of production personnel and service (includes most engineering and production specialties, which are listed in the draft decree) on hh.ru during the second half of this year - 232.5 thousand vacancies, says Natalia Danina, hh.ru's chief expert on the labor market.4/5
If only you knew how brown things really are
>>486680717>“Thus, the quota at its hundred percent realization can cover a significant part of the demand in production personnel and can to some extent help in solving the problem of staff shortage”, - the expert is optimistic.>In practice, the average level of quota fulfillment is about 60% - coordination of the number of foreign specialists does not mean automatic issuance of work visas (permits are handled by the Ministry of Internal Affairs), says a source close to the Ministry of Labor.>Danina referred to the hh.ru survey, in which Russian companies hiring foreign qualified personnel outside the CIS indicated that almost half of such employees come from Asia (28%), Africa (10%) and the Middle East (10%), while one in three (33%) come from the EU. Production personnel are most often attracted from India and the Middle East, labor and construction personnel are evenly distributed between Asia, Africa and the East, and top and middle management are more likely to come from China.>Specialists from China, Turkey, Serbia, India and Vietnam are most often attracted through such a mechanism, says a source close to the Labor Ministry.Earlier, 12% of big business companies complained about the lack of existing quotas for hiring migrants, RBC wrote with reference to the RSPP survey. More than 6% of them pointed out that highly qualified foreigners could not get an entry permit. In general, two thirds of the companies that have experience in hiring migrant workers face difficulties in hiring foreign workers.5/5https://www.rbc.ru/economics/25/10/2024/671a26f09a7947ba60917595

Part 2/?The same situation applied to transporting people. They were going to take us to the train station in buses, but there weren't enough for everyone. Even though the ride was only twenty minutes, it caused problems. Remember, we were all completely plastered. At one point, the ComBat gave the order to split our platoon and distribute people among other buses because there wasn't enough room for Pyatnashka (Fifteen) on one bus. Everyone started protesting:"How's that?""Why are they splitting us up?""We've spent a month together, and you're dividing us!""We won't go on other buses! Load the whole platoon onto one!"Nefrit yelled: "Pyatnashka, stay together! Hold the line! Don't abandon your positions!"Another of our comrades, nicknamed "Pes" (Dog), started "reasoning" with Shprits: "Who do you take us for, I don't understand? Are we some kind of conscripts to you? Have you completely lost it? There's no bus for us? We're going to war, and you're mocking us! I've been with these guys for a month, everyone here has each other's backs! Let's settle this like men, I'll take you down! Or are you not a man?!"All this was to no avail. We stood there, going nowhere. Slowly, people started squeezing onto the buses. Well, squeezing – the seats on the buses were taken. We just climbed inside and packed ourselves in tight. With great difficulty, our unit finally departed from the academy. A crowd of locals gathered at the exit, seeing us off as if we were their relatives. Women waved handkerchiefs, children shouted "Hurrah!", and men gave us the fist bump, as if to say, "Hang in there, brothers." Drivers honked at our buses from the parking lot, sending us on our way.
>>486680700May we see those records?
Part 3/?But as soon as the buses disappeared around the bend, many of those seeing us off finally breathed a sigh of relief. Because "those damn mobilized men" (meaning us) had been a constant headache for the locals. Fights, drunkenness, lines at the stores, liquor theft, harassing women, and other delights of close proximity to military personnel.Arriving at the railway, we found a train waiting for us, set apart from the station. Our belongings were loaded onto unheated freight cars, and we began settling into the passenger cars. During the loading process, a small shop was discovered near the tracks where we could stock up on essential supplies for the train journey. Although we had been given rations – enough MREs (Meals Ready to Eat) – we didn't yet understand their true value and started opening them right away.
Have some premium cope:>Central Bank calls business bankruptcies 'a boon for the economy'>Bankruptcy of companies may become a “boon for the economy” in Russia, as the country lacks labor and qualified personnel, said Elizaveta Danilova, Director of the Financial Stability Department of the Bank of Russia.>According to her, in case of bankruptcy of some organizations, employees will move to work in more efficient companies. “Naturally, we are carefully making sure that we do not have financial instability, so that the credit risks that will be realized, they could be covered by banks and did not contribute to systemic effects,” Danilova said at a meeting of the club of young economists ‘What will be next’ (quoted by RBC).>She called floating interest rates on loans the main threat to enterprises in the current environment. “We really did not have such a high share of loans with floating rates in previous years <...>. That is why we are looking closely at what is happening in [banks'] portfolios. So far, we do not see a meaningful increase in either restructuring, much less bad loans,” Danilova said.>Even before the Central Bank raised the key rate to 21% per annum in late October, 41% of companies complained that loans were too expensive. This was shown by a survey of the analytical center close to the authorities CMACP. The analysts predicted that by the end of the year the share of such companies will grow to 50%.>According to CICPA calculations, on average, companies are already giving creditors 24% of their profits before taxes and interest payments. The indicator is at a record level for the last five years. At the same time, the share of borrowers with overdue debts among non-financial organizations has reached 17.1% (one in six), said investment banker Evgeny Kogan.1/2
>>486680255His handwriting will assist Russian agents to find him. Also the fucker is soo poor that he he doesn't even own a car.Fucking hohol loser, lol
>>486680827>According to him, not all enterprises are sensitive to high rates - some of them receive preferential loans, some of them work under government orders. "But the rest of them are paying double. Roughly speaking, for an average temperature of 36.6 someone will have to go to the morgue. And, let's be honest, they will go to the morgue,” - said the investment banker.>Before that, the head of the state corporation “Rostec” Sergey Chemezov spoke about the risk of bankruptcy of most companies because of the high rate of the Central Bank. He noted that he does not know any production with a profitability of more than 20%, “even the arms trade does not give such a profit”. This has already been pointed out by Severstal CEO Alexander Shevelev. “A number of our clients, primarily from small and medium-sized businesses, already prefer to reduce the size of their business and simply put money in the bank at this key rate, because the yield on deposits has either equaled or even exceeds some types of business,” he explained.>Meanwhile, Russia has been experiencing record low unemployment for the past two years. According to Rosstat, it amounted to 2.4% in August. According to the forecast of the Ministry of Economic Development, unemployment at the level of 2.6% will remain until 2027. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the shortage of personnel one of the problems of the Russian economy.2/2https://www.moscowtimes.ru/2024/11/01/v-tsb-nazvali-bankrotstva-biznesa-blagom-dlya-ekonomiki-a146642

>More than 200 shopping centers across Russia are on the verge of bankruptcy>The growing credit burden after the increase of the Central Bank's key rate to 21% and difficulties with debt servicing may lead to mass bankruptcy of shopping centers (TC). This follows from the letter of the Union of Shopping Centers (STC) to the head of the Ministry of Economic Development, which was read by “Kommersant”.>The organization noted that half of Russian shopping centers are burdened with loans, including those with floating rates. Many of them have already faced problems in maintaining financial stability. In this regard, shopping center owners have asked the government to subsidize the rate on collateral loans to 7-10%, to introduce a moratorium on changing the terms of existing loans and to grant a deferral of principal payments for five to ten years.>At least 200 shopping centers will be under the threat of bankruptcy in 2025, says Marina Malakhatko, senior director of the consulting company CORE.XP. “More than 50% of the retail real estate portfolio pledged in the key banks of the country are already in the risk zone: their debt to real estate value ratio exceeds 80%,” the expert explained. According to her, part of the owners, realizing the threat of default, seek to sell their assets. At the same time, they are often not ready to invest their own funds to cover the loan, Malakhatko added.>According to NF Group, at the end of 2023 the total area of shopping centers in Russia reached 54.4 mln sq. m. According to ShopAndMall.ru, we are talking about about 2 thousand objects with an area of more than 5 thousand square meters. m. Thus, every tenth shopping center is under the threat of bankruptcy.1/2
>>486680998>Under current conditions, almost any business can ask for preferences and subsidies due to the growth of interest rates, says Vasily Tanurkov, Director of the Corporate Ratings Group of ACRA. However, according to him, if there are such support measures, they will be very limited. Shopping centers are not among the critical infrastructure, which is important for the state to save, reminds Alexey Vanchugov, managing partner of Vanchugov and Partners (develops small shopping centers).>Dmitry Sergienko, Senior Director for Corporate Ratings at Expert RA, also considers government assistance unlikely. Lenders will not subsidize rates at the expense of their own profits, and it is very problematic to find additional funds in the budget under current conditions, the expert noted.>At the same time, according to Vanchugov, banks are not interested in the bankruptcy of shopping centers and the transfer of collateral rights to them, so they will try to ensure the stability of business until the last moment, offering installment payments.2/2https://www.moscowtimes.ru/2024/11/01/bolee-200-torgovih-tsentrov-po-vsei-rossii-okazalis-na-grani-bankrotstva-a146618

According to Interfax , Deputy Prime Minister and former head of the Ministry of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev gave this instruction following a meeting where food prices were discussed.>Patrushev instructed officials to monitor the market “daily” and also recalled that decisions were made back in September to prevent price hikes. “Harvesting is coming to an end and, in general, it is possible to provide all the necessary foodstuffs to citizens,” Patrushev was quoted as saying by his press service.>According to Rosstat, as of October 28, food inflation in Russia reached 9%, and prices for some goods jumped by dozens of percent. Since the beginning of the year, butter has become more expensive by 25.7%, while the cost of potatoes has soared by 54.7%. In order to prevent the butter crisis, the Russian authorities started importing butter from Turkey. The Ministry of Agriculture proposed to zero duties on imported butter from countries outside the EEAS, a source told Interfax.>In addition, according to Rosstat, the price of sour cream has risen by 12.7% since the beginning of the year, and milk by 12.4%. Prices for mutton jumped by 21.6%, and for beef - by 10.5%. Bread became more expensive by 11.4%, while apples - by almost 12%. At the end of the year eggs may rise in price by 10-20% again - producers have already notified retail chains about the price increase, sources told Mash.1/2
Part 4/?The train started moving, and we, like experienced connoisseurs, began sampling the different dishes: beef stew, rice porridge with meat, meatballs, vegetable stew, applesauce, bacon, crackers with pâté, tea, coffee, chocolate, chewing gum. Different MREs contained different dishes, and we shared with each other, trying a little bit of everything. Within a few days on the train, all the MREs were gone. How we regretted that later.Besides the MREs, we also ate our own food supplies: sandwiches with various cheeses and sausages for snacks, grilled chicken, and, of course, strong drinks! There was enough alcohol to last us a couple of days on the train, so many of us only sobered up at our destination. Throughout the journey, we could hear Nefrit playing his guitar and singing old favourites, which he, as usual, never finished; discussions about how awful the "Ukrops" (a derogatory term for Ukrainians) were and how we would defeat them all; conversations about life and God, and history."Do you believe in God?" Tush (Ink), a soldier who considered himself Orthodox, asked me."No," I replied."Good heavens, and I'm going to war with this man! How can you not believe in God? Are you even Russian?""And what about Ofis?" I asked, pointing to a stocky guy with an Asian face on the next bunk. "He's Muslim. >>486681085>The general inflation rate in Russia at the end of October, Rosstat estimated at 8.6%, but weekly data show a sharp acceleration in price growth, analysts MMI.>Over the last reported seven days (October 22-28), the consumer price index added 0.27%, which was “an absolute record for many years.” At the same time, goods are becoming more expensive frontally: of the 107 items tracked by Rosstat, 84 are in plus. “This is another absolute record of recent years,” writes MMI.>Due to the run-up in inflation, the Russian economy needs “greater rigidity” in monetary policy, Central Bank Governor Elvira Nabiullina said Thursday, speaking in the State Duma.>Last week, the central bank raised its key rate for the eighth consecutive time, to 21% per annum, a record high since 2003. It also warned that it may make a step up to 23% at its December meeting.2/2https://www.moscowtimes.ru/2024/10/31/patrushev-poruchil-chinovnikam-zadve-nedeli-ostanovit-rost-tsen-naprodukti-a146563

>Nabiullina urged to prepare for expensive loans for the long term>The Russian economy needs “greater rigidity” in monetary policy due to the run-up in inflation, Central Bank Governor Elvira Nabiullina said, speaking in the State Duma on Thursday.>The central bank's decision to raise the key rate to 21 percent - a record high since 2003 - was “an inevitable reaction” to what “is happening in the economy,” Nabiullina said.>The rate of price growth this year will exceed last year's, she emphasized: 8-8.5%, according to the Central Bank's latest forecast. At the same time, monthly inflation in October in terms of the year exceeds 10%, and 84 out of 107 goods in the consumer basket of Rosstat are becoming more expensive.>“If we don't react - inflation growth will continue and inflation in 2025 will be higher than this year,” Nabiullina said, adding that inflation ‘eats up’ citizens' incomes and creates costs for businesses (quoted by Reuters).>At a meeting last Friday, the Central Bank warned that it could raise the rate to 23% as early as December. And in 2025, it does not rule out 25% - this level is included in its risk forecast published in the Basic Guidelines of Monetary Policy, notes Egor Susin, Managing Director of GPB Private Banking. At the same time, high rates will remain in Russia for a long time: even in the base scenario, the Central Bank predicts a key rate of 12-13% in 2026, and in the risk scenario - 16-17%.1/2
>>486681181>Russia has already surpassed Zambia (13.5%), Gambia (17%), Pakistan (17.5%) and Angola (19.5%) in terms of the Central Bank rate, and has become a world record holder in terms of the real rate (key rate minus inflation). Following the Central Bank raise rates banks, and at the end of October, the average cost of mortgages in the top 20 credit institutions exceeded 25% per annum, and the full cost of consumer loans approached 30%.>But the high rate “does not contradict the tasks of economic development,” Nabiullina told the deputies. The point is that the demand has seriously detached from the production capacity of the economy and it takes time for the supply to catch up with it, she explained.>According to Nabiullina, the Central Bank does not see mass bankruptcies of companies due to expensive loans, and lowering the rate will not help boost production. “The shortage of personnel, not the price of loans... is the biggest problem now for economic growth,” she added.2/2https://www.moscowtimes.ru/2024/10/31/nabiullina-prizvala-gotovitsya-k-dorogim-kreditam-nadolgo-a146561
Part 5/?One of us, a comrade nicknamed "Mort" (Death), had brought weed onto the train. Mort was generally "in the know," unlike me, and smoked anything he could get his hands on at any opportunity. So, on the train, he started packing his pipe with weed and offered me some. Even though I wasn't "in the know," I agreed. Why not? I was already halfway to the grave.I didn't smoke much: just a couple of puffs and stopped. I liked it – I liked it a lot. It relaxed me almost immediately, and the feeling lasted for about half an hour. It was a pleasant sensation, but I didn't want to overdo it. Mort, however, continued to get high every day as long as he had something to smoke. At another drinking session, the reconnaissance scouts of our battalion joined us. Our ComBat, Shprits, wanted to somehow interfere with our daily drinking sessions, and he also held a grudge against our platoon, Pyatnashka, because Pes had cursed at him while we were being loaded onto the buses. The scouts showed up with rifles and balaclavas, so no one could see their faces. Finding Nefrit completely drunk, they started a conversation with him and smashed him in the face with a rifle butt. A brawl began, if you could call it that.Nefrit demanded retribution. The scouts retreated to a narrow passageway. No one understood who was right or wrong. There was a struggle and commotion in the narrow passage. It was unclear who was fighting whom. Shmel (Bumblebee) butted heads with a scout. Grusha (Pear) climbed onto the luggage rack and was about to jump on one of them. Remen (Belt) tried unsuccessfully to calm Nefrit, but he, without lowering his tone, shouted orders to the platoon: "Pyatnashka, hold your positions! Ukrop forward recon has infiltrated the train! We're fighting back! Put them face down on the floor and disarm them!"

Part 6/?Vata (Cotton Wool) and I were stuck in the narrow passageway, waiting for our company commander, Lineika (Ruler), to arrive. When Lineika finally showed up (also drunk as a skunk), he sent the scouts back to Shprits and went to deal with the situation himself. But no one ever really figured out what happened. Whose order was it to hit Nefrit in the eye? Did he provoke it or not? We spent the whole evening drinking and arguing about "principles," but the whole situation remained utterly senseless.A few days later, we reached the border town of A. Actually, we could have gotten from City V to City A faster, but we spent a long time waiting on sidings, letting other trains pass so as not to interfere with civilian rail traffic.Getting off the train near the station early in the morning, before sunrise, we unloaded our belongings from the freight car. How to proceed further – no one knew. Where we were going – no one knew either. But several trucks – Urals and Kamazes – were waiting near the train, and we headed towards them.

Part 7/?Our belongings were to be transported first, so the hellish game of Tetris began anew. Bags were crammed deeper and tighter into the trucks. One soldier, clinging to the roof of an Ural, used both legs to push bags into the cargo bed. Chaos reigned; no one knew which truck was going where or where our things would be unloaded. Luckily, we had labeled most of the bags with unit numbers and call signs. But that didn't always help. Miraculously, everything was crammed into the trucks, and they set off for the front. Where exactly – no one knew. While the drivers were transporting our belongings, we started receiving ammunition and Promedol (a strong painkiller). Crates and ammo cans were pried open somehow, and the horde of mobilized men began loading their magazines. For most, this was routine, but we found a soldier among us who had never done this before – Shesternya (Gear). He was an "Alyoshenka" – he never understood what was going on, and army service was incredibly stressful for him. He didn't know how to load magazines. We showed him an example, and he began to struggle on his own. It took him about an hour to load four magazines for his rifle.
>The Central Bank has decided to open an alternative exchange for currency trading>Currency trading may move from the Moscow Exchange to a backup exchange>The cessation of exchange trading in dollars and euros and uncertainty regarding the future of yuan trading after the Moscow Exchange fell under blocking US sanctions forced the Central Bank to prepare a replacement for the country’s main trading platform. For this purpose, the Central Bank chose the St. Petersburg Currency Exchange (SPBV), in which it owns 8.9% of shares, Frank Media reports with links to sources. They claim that the Central Bank became the majority shareholder of SPVB, but the Central Bank denied this, saying that its share did not change. Officially, neither the exchange nor its last known majority shareholder, Promsvyazbank, comment on this.>The Central Bank needed a new currency exchange due to sanctions against the Moscow Exchange.>On the basis of SPVB, he plans to create a full-fledged platform for currency trading, explains one of Frank Media’s interlocutors. Sanctions were imposed on the Moscow Exchange on June 12, and already on July 1, SPVB launched trading in currencies - of course, “friendly” countries: Chinese yuan, Belarusian ruble, Kazakh tenge, Uzbek soum, Kyrgyzstani som and Armenian dram. Recently, it acquired an important infrastructure component for the exchange - a central counterparty (both parties enter into a transaction with it, insuring themselves against the risk of non-fulfillment of their obligations).>The LCC company, created in early October, received from the Central Bank a license for clearing activities and the status of a central counterparty in a few days.>It is not clear what the Central Bank is counting on: as soon as currency trading on the St. Petersburg Export Exchange gains more or less serious momentum, it will turn into a target for sanctions.1/2

>>486681405>One of Frank Media’s interlocutors estimates the “life expectancy” of the exchange after achieving at least some indicators at a maximum of six months. Another believes that the Central Bank is looking further: you can prepare everything in advance - create and test the infrastructure - and wait for the end of the war. Sanctions from Moscow Exchange will not be lifted after this, but new ones are unlikely to be introduced - then it will be possible to launch full-fledged currency trading on a backup exchange.>After the forced stop of trading in the dollar and euro on the Moscow Exchange, the Central Bank appealed to world experience: the foreign exchange market in most countries is over-the-counter, banks enter into transactions directly with each other. Things turned out differently in Russia, but market participants are accustomed to convenient trading with convenient infrastructure and minimal risk, in which both the largest banks and exporters and ordinary people can participate. At the same time, all the technologies to recreate them on the new site are available. In September 2022, when the market was expecting sanctions on the Moscow Exchange, the chairman of its supervisory board, former first deputy chairman of the Central Bank Sergei Shvetsov discussed the possible sale of the dollar trading business. According to Frank Media, SPEB is considering the possibility of organizing trading in the currencies of “unfriendly” countries.2/2https://www.moscowtimes.ru/2024/10/31/tsentrobank-sozdal-dublera-popavshei-pod-sanktsii-mosbirzhe-dlya-prodolzheniya-torgov-valyutoi-a146551

Part 8/?Our machine gunner, Dubina (Cudgel), along with his comrade Shinel (Overcoat), experienced similar struggles. The reason, as might be assumed from their telling nicknames, was not their inexperience but the sheer volume of work. Dubina and Shinel had already fought in the war twice as volunteers in the armies of the unrecognized republics. Now they had volunteered again, only this time for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, alongside the mobilized troops. They had combat experience, so Dubina was assigned as a machine gunner with a PKM (Kalashnikov modernized machine gun). Unlike our riflemen, he had not magazines but boxes with belts of ammunition. Understandably, his machine gun required far more rounds than ours. So, he and Shinel spent a full hour loading his belts while Shesternya loaded his four magazines. We waited for several hours. A few more trucks were allocated for transporting people. And that's when I truly understood what it was like to travel in an Ural. When we were training in City V, we had short rides in these rickety vehicles, but they didn't last long: half an hour or an hour. That didn't count. Now we faced a nine-hour journey in an Ural. The Ural's cargo bed contained a couple of narrow benches – if you were lucky. And thirty men were supposed to fit in this cargo bed. Our entire Pyatnashka squad squeezed into one Ural. We felt like those bags that had been mercilessly crammed in just a few hours earlier.Making any extra movement in the Ural was a big problem. Standing up was a problem, changing seats was a problem, getting cigarettes out of your pocket was a problem. If your leg or backside went numb, that was a problem. If you needed to use the bathroom, that was a problem. The best solution you could come up with during a journey in an Ural was to try to sleep sitting up.
>Russia's largest LNG project was left without its last foreign tanker supplier>Russia's largest liquefied natural gas production project, Novatek's Arctic LNG 2, has lost its last foreign supplier of ice-class tankers.>Japanese Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL), which ordered the construction of three gas carriers for Arctic LNG 2, warned on Thursday that it may not be able to deliver the vessels, Reuters reports with reference to the company’s statement. The reason is the tightening of Western sanctions, MOL explained, adding that tankers built for Novatek could be sold to “third parties.”>Three more tankers for Arctic LNG 2 were built by the South Korean shipyard Hanwha Ocean by order of Sovcomflot subsidiaries. However, she terminated the contract at the end of 2022, citing sanctions and difficulties in receiving payment.>As a result, the only supplier of tankers is of gas carriers for the Novatek project, the Zvezda shipyard controlled by Rosneft remained. However, out of the 15 ships that it is supposed to build, Novatek has not yet received a single one. It was initially planned that five domestic tankers would begin transporting gas in 2024. The first line was put into operation in August 2023 and produced the first batch of gas in December, but it was not possible to take her out. Part 9/10The scenery outside slowly changed. I like sitting near the side of a truck and observing what's happening outside. Russian and Ukrainian nature are similar, but the infrastructure was noticeably different. At first, we saw the well-maintained and civilized areas of the Russian provinces: paved roads and highways, small towns, shops, cafes, hotels, numerous road signs and indicators, bus stops, and other signs of urban life. This continued until we crossed the border and entered the territory of the "people's republics."Here, in general, things looked similar, but it was evident that civilization was much weaker here. Buildings increasingly resembled Soviet architecture, bus stops were made of thick concrete, road signs became fewer and farther between, roads deteriorated, and consumer establishments like cafes and shops gradually disappeared. At some point, we realized we had passed another checkpoint at the border and entered the front-line rural area. The asphalt ended, and we began moving along dirt roads. We were very lucky with the weather – there was no rain, and the ground was relatively dry. Nevertheless, the trucks moved much slower than on asphalt. Deep ruts, carved by numerous trucks that had traveled this route before, scarred the roads. The trucks constantly drove into and out of these ruts, the cargo bed tilting left and right. The jolting woke everyone who had been sleeping. The time for strong drinks was over; now everyone was sober. Tree branches scraped against the tarp like giant claws. As we passed under some branches, I thought something fell onto the tarp of our Ural. A bomb? No, thankfully, it wasn't.

Say goodbye to the Russian coal industry:>“The industry is starting to take off.” The government was warned about the threat of bankruptcy of the entire coal industry in Russia>The Russian coal industry, one of the largest raw materials sectors of the economy, including more than 30 single-industry towns and hundreds of thousands of employees, is on the verge of bankruptcy. According to Kommersant, this assessment was given by AC TEK, a state analytical center under the Ministry of Energy.>As analysts note, the coal industry became unprofitable in 2024: its losses before taxes are estimated at 34 billion rubles, although a year earlier coal miners made a profit of 357 billion.>Having lost Western markets and faced with a sharp drop in demand in “friendly” countries, coal companies received an additional blow from the government, which introduced additional taxes for the industry and sharply increased tariffs for transportation on the Russian Railways network. In total for 2022–2024. seizures from coal miners amounted to 500 billion rubles, assessed at AC TEK.>Amid financial problems, companies began to reduce coal production. According to Rosstat, in July it fell by 6.7% in annual terms, to 31.5 million tons - the lowest level since the 2020 pandemic. Relative to the peaks shown in December 2022, coal companies lost about 12 million tons of monthly production, or 27%.>Mining of hard coal - the main product of coal miners, which accounts for 80% of production - fell by 8.2%, and anthracite - the most valuable grade - by almost a quarter (by 23.7%). In August, according to operational statistics from Rosstat, the decline in coal production accelerated to 10.1% year-on-year.1/2
>>486681578>Obviously, that the coal industry is beginning to nosedive, states Alexander Kotov, head of NEFT Research consulting. The decline in export prices for Russian coal against the backdrop of increasing sanctions pressure and overstocking of consumer warehouses in China and India led to a reduction in export revenues of Russian coal exporters by more than 400 billion rubles over the last two years, he calculated.>Western sanctions have become a key problem for the coal industry, notes Janis Kluge, researcher at the German Institute for International Security Studies. Unlike oil and gas, which the European Union continues to purchase, albeit in small volumes, coal came under a total embargo, and Asian countries that bought Russian coal last year sharply reduced demand.>Total coal exports from Russia in January–July dropped by 11.4%, to 112.6 million tons. Supplies to China in the first half of 2024 dropped by 8% and their growth is not expected, the head of the Russian Ministry of Energy, Sergei Tsivilev, complained in September. The fact is that Beijing has introduced duties on Russian coal, the minister explained. At the same time, other suppliers - Indonesia and Australia - did not fall under them, since they are part of a free trade zone with China.2/2https://www.moscowtimes.ru/2024/10/31/otrasl-nachinaet-pikirovat-pravitelstvo-predupredili-obugroze-bankrotstva-vsei-ugolnoi-promishlennosti-rossii-a146529

Even a single company couldn't be accommodated in one building. The order was given to stop. One of the soldiers, nicknamed "Shar" (Ball), had been wanting to use the bathroom the entire journey. >The largest state banks announced a lack of money for a family mortgage and stopped issuing>The largest Russian state banks - Sberbank and VTB - have stopped issuing family mortgages due to the complete exhaustion of the limits allocated by the government for this program, RBC reports with a link to the press, services of credit institutions. VTB will stop issuing such mortgage loans from October 31.“As soon as the government allocates new limits for family mortgages, we will promptly resume work on it,” the bank noted.>Sberbank announces the suspension of processing transactions on family mortgages from October 30, also explaining this by the exhaustion of allocated funds. The bank will continue to accept applications for Domklik, and those clients who managed to sign up before October 30 will be able to get a mortgage on the same terms.>At the same time, Sberbank increased interest rates on family mortgages above the established limit: in Moscow and St. Petersburg the average rate will be 9.4%, and in other regions - 10%. Rates rose following an increase in the key rate of the Central Bank, which raised it to 21%, which was a record value.>In July, the state program of preferential mortgages for new buildings with a rate of 8%, launched in 2020, ceased to operate.1/2

At the same time, the minimum down payment on a family mortgage was increased to 50.1%.>On October 23, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said that the Russian government does not plan to develop mortgages through government support, given the high rise in prices in the economy. According to him, inflation in construction now exceeds the national average and amounts to 15–20% (according to Rosstat, annual inflation slowed to 8.63% in September). “We will not be able to keep this mortgage with any support measures,” Khusnullin explained, adding that it is better to wait and watch the further development of the situation.2/2https://www.moscowtimes.ru/2024/10/30/krupneishie-gosbanki-zayavili-ob-otsutstvii-deneg-na-semeinuyu-ipoteku-i-ostanovili-vidachi-a146383

>The Russian government has lost its creditors>Finance Minister Anton Siluanov can’t wait for the market to calm down>High rates prevent the Ministry of Finance from raising money on the market to finance the budget deficit, which... for the growth of military spending there will be a trillion more than planned - 3.3 trillion rubles, or 1.7% of GDP.>The Ministry of Finance borrowed 39 billion rubles at one auction for the placement of OFZs, and declared another invalid “due to the lack of applications at acceptable price levels.”>Lately, such failures have been happening regularly: in just five auction days in October, the Ministry of Finance was able to attract a little more than 110 billion rubles. – despite the fact that the plan for the fourth quarter is 2.1 trillion. This is more than the Ministry of Finance raised at auctions in nine months (1.8 trillion rubles), the Central Bank noted.>Only in the first quarter did the Finance Ministry manage to fulfill the plan, then problems began with the placement of OFZs. “Now the market will calm down a little, we will enter [the market],” Finance Minister Anton Siluanov reasoned in June. “Inflation... will definitely slow down in the second half of the year, and we will plan our exits taking into account our expectations.”>But neither the market nor inflation calmed down, but budget revenues grew ahead of schedule, and the Ministry of Finance carried the shortfall to the following quarters. As a result, the plan for the end of the year turned out to be, as many analysts put it, extremely ambitious. Fulfilling the borrowing program will be a challenge for the Ministry of Finance, Gazprombank analysts warned.1/2
>>486681749>Market participants are still confident that borrowing the required amount is not a problem for the Ministry of Finance: its debt is very small - approximately 16% of GDP. The placement of OFZs is primarily a matter of price. The Ministry of Finance is caught in a vicious circle: high budget expenditures and measures to fill it accelerate inflation, forcing the Central Bank to increase the key rate, and along with it, OFZ yields are growing. The Ministry of Finance has a difficult choice: in the face of rising rates, offer the market securities with a floating coupon (floaters), or fix the yield of 16-18% per annum on long-term (10-20 years) securities, and more than 20% on short-term (1-3 years) securities. . The weighted average yield of OFZs sold today with maturity in 2038 was 17.55%. There are only eight auction days left until the end of the year, but if the Ministry of Finance agrees to a profitability acceptable to the market, it will be able to place floaters.>The latest rate hikes alone could cost the Ministry of Finance 600 billion rubles. next year, according to Hard Figures analysts. The budget for 2025 was formed based on the key rate of 15.1%, the middle of the new Central Bank forecast is 18.5%. The Ministry of Finance said that its net liabilities tied to interest rate risk amounted to about 17 trillion rubles. (RUB 27 trillion in gross liabilities mainly in the form of OFZ floaters and subsidized mortgages). That is, the sensitivity of expenses to a rate increase of 1 percentage point is approximately RUB 170 billion, (without taking into account the placement of OFZ floaters for the rest of the year), they concluded, and an increase in the forecast trajectory of the key rate by 3.5 percentage points will cost the budget approximately 0.6 trillion rubles in 2025.2/2https://www.moscowtimes.ru/2024/10/30/minfin-konstatiroval-slabii-spros-na-svoi-obligatsii-kotorimi-dolzhen-zatknut-diru-v-byudzhete-a146380

The head of Rosstandart, Anton Shalaev, announced the department’s approval of amendments to GOST regulating the operation of private security companies (PSC) on school grounds. According to the changes, school security guards will have to carry handcuffs and a rubber baton,in some cases - body armor and service weapons.>Mr. Shalaev, in a conversation with Izvestia, explained that the changes come into force in January 2025. Amendments to GOST establish requirements for private security companies operating at preschool, general education and professional educational organizations. In particular, we are talking about the requirements for the organization of security posts at these facilities, the procedure for allowing students to enter the building, the responsibilities of private security company employees, and the scenarios of their behavior in different situations.>From 2025, security guards of educational organizations will be required to have documents proving that a private security company employee has undergone additional physical training (for example, training on actions in the event of an attack or an emergency). Under normal circumstances, officers will be required to carry handcuffs and a rubber truncheon.>Changes to GOST also provide for an enhanced security regime for facilities. Such situations are separately specified in the contract for the provision of private security services. Rosstandart explained to Izvestia that this could be a high-risk regime introduced by local authorities in the region. In such cases, private security company employees must have body armor, helmets and service weapons. For the latter, guards must first obtain a special license for one of the types of smooth-bore weapons.https://www.kommersant.ru/doc/7281109

Greatest ally:>China has banned its automakers from building factories in Russia>Russia’s hopes of establishing car production on the domestic market with the help of Chinese companies will most likely remain hopes. In Beijing they don't want for automakers to risk their money in countries like Russia.>“We welcome cooperation with Chinese friends in the field of automobile production, where Chinese friends are achieving clear, completely obvious successes and advantages in the competitive struggle... We welcome cooperation and will develop it further,”– Vladimir Putin said in May. The Chinese are steadily increasing their share in sales of new cars in Russia (in August, according to Avtostat, they amounted to a record 90,000 cars), but have not shown any particular desire to develop production.>Moreover, it will be difficult for them to disobey their own officials. China's Ministry of Commerce warned automakers at a meeting in early July about the risks of investing overseas, two people with knowledge of the matter told Reuters. Chinese companies are seeking international expansion to offset slowing growth in the domestic market. But expansion of expansion is different, they think in Beijing.>Employees of the Ministry of Trade, citing a government order, “strongly did not recommend” investing in the construction of factories in Russia and Turkey, did not allow investing in India, but described in milder terms the risks of working in Europe and Thailand, one of the interlocutors told Reuters. To reduce possible risks due to geopolitical problems, officials recommended using foreign factories for screwdriver assembly from components delivered from China.1/3?

>>486681987>The Chinese won't save you>The Russian auto industry suffered a catastrophic collapse as a result of the war unleashed by Vladimir Putin in Ukraine. Due to the shutdown of factories of foreign manufacturers who left Russia, output in 2022 fell threefold to the minimum since the collapse of the USSR: only 450,000 passenger cars rolled off assembly lines. Due to problems with components, even AvtoVAZ stopped for several months. Meanwhile, in pre-war 2021, more than 70% of the 1.34 million cars produced in the country were made at the factories of the companies that then left. Global automakers owned 10 of the 21 automobile factories operating in the country, and six more, including AvtoVAZ and Avtotor, assembled their models.>“It’s hard to say yet how [the position of the Chinese government] will affect already launched or planned projects, but all of them are assembly at existing enterprises, in partnership with Russian companies, with the exception of the Great Wall Motor plant launched in 2019 for the production of Haval cars in the Tula region. This is also an assembly, but with the highest degree of localization, plus it belongs to the Chinese company itself,” a Russian automotive expert told The Moscow Times.>The recommendations of Chinese officials could put an end to Chery Automobile's plans - at least those that Vladimir Shmakov, general director of the Chery Automobiles Rus distributor, spoke about in August. “The [Chery] head office is conducting intensive negotiations with a number of Russian manufacturers regarding the possibility of localization,” he said. True, Shmakov called talk about specific sites and partners “premature.”2/4

>>486682011>Russia is not interesting>But even before the authorities’ recommendation, Chinese automakers did not seek to develop production in Russia, limiting themselves to assembling their models at the facilities freed up after the departure of Western concerns. At the former French Renault Avtoframos plant in Moscow, which was returned to its Soviet name Moskvich, in 2022 began to produce clones of Chinese JAC crossovers using large-unit assembly (the plan for this year is 50,000 cars).>The stopped factories are trying to come to an agreement with the Chinese, but few succeed.>Former car factories of foreign companies are looking for Chinese partners. “China already has problems with sales of what they produce at home (their market is growing slower than they thought, the USA and the EU are restricting - they do not want to become dependent). Why should he build factories in Russia?” argued HSE professor Oleg Vyugin.3/4
>>486682038>A large enterprise means hundreds of millions of investments in dollars, which means it’s a high-profile project, annoying the West and increasing the risk of secondary sanctions, a top manager of a large auto trading company, whose portfolio, like its competitors, only has Chinese brands, told The Moscow Times. According to him, the Chinese are looking for cooperation with Russian partners to create assembly plants, from which, if something happens, “it’s easy to get up and leave.” It is easier for the Chinese to create a large production in the country of the Eurasian Customs Union and transport the car to Russia from there, even with a recycling fee, the interlocutor continues:>There will always be buyers who are not satisfied with AvtoVAZ products, and here they have nothing to choose from except “Chinese” ones, even at an inflated price.>According to Avtostat's forecast, 900,000 new cars of Chinese brands will be sold in Russia in 2024 - 60% more than a year earlier, when sales grew by 51.4%. Currently, 30 Chinese brands are officially represented on the market, and there are a total of 70 Chinese car brands in the country.4/4https://www.moscowtimes.ru/2024/09/12/pekin-nastoyatelno-ne-rekomendoval-kitaiskim-avtoproizvoditelyam-investirovat-v-rossiyu-a142061

>Yandex handed over a record amount of personal data of Russians to the state>In the first half of 2024, Yandex satisfied a record number of requests from Russian authorities for the disclosure of personal data of users of its services. “Vorstka” writes about this with a link to a transparency report published by the company.>Thus, in the first six months of this year, Yandex received 36,540 requests from government agencies regarding the disclosure of user data. This is a 12% increase over the same period in 2023, when 32,664 requests were submitted. Of the requests received in 2024, Yandex satisfied 80%, which is 29,379 requests, while in the first half of last year this figure was at the level of 77% - 25,146 satisfied requests.>The authorities paid the greatest attention to users of services in the “Ridetech” category, which combines taxi, delivery, car sharing and scooter rental: these services accounted for 23,770 requests. Although such services have not yet been combined into one category in 2023, taxis have consistently remained the leader in the number of requests since 2021.>The authorities' interest in Yandex's geoservices and the level of satisfaction of such requests have also increased. If in the first half of 2023 the company received 252 requests for user data of geoservices and satisfied 75% (188 requests), then in 2024 the number of requests increased to 967, of which 85% (826 requests) were satisfied.>Besides, in 2024, Yandex processed a record number of requests within the framework of the “right to be forgotten” law, which obliges the removal of links to unreliable, irrelevant or illegal information from search results. This year, 15,575 requests to remove links were received, of which 9,883 (63%) were satisfied. For comparison: for the same period in 2023, 13,381 requests were received, 22% of which were satisfied (2,888 links).1/2

The company was found guilty under Part 4 of Art.13.31 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (repeated failure by the company to ensure the implementation of the requirements for its equipment and programs for conducting searches by government agencies or organizing state security), providing for a fine of 2 to 6 million rubles. A Yandex representative admitted the violation at the court hearing, noting that the company did not comply with the requirements, but asked not to assign the maximum amount of the fine. In 2022, the Meshchansky Court already imposed a fine on Yandex in the amount of 400 thousand rubles under the third part of the same article.>Since 2022, Yandex services have been included in the register of organizers of information dissemination (ORI) on the Internet, obliging companies to store data on the receipt, transmission and processing of various forms of user messages on the territory of Russia. Autumn '22.The original can be found here: https://endchan.net/.media/523c1e63e16c9ca9a21c77a2960065ab-applicationpdf.pdfPart 1/?At that time, we didn't understand that war was about artillery. We didn't understand where our side was and where the enemy was. We didn't understand how far away the shots were coming from; we couldn't even distinguish outgoing fire from incoming fire by sound. We didn't understand anything at all. No one explained any of this to us. We understood only one thing: we couldn't do anything about it.The column started moving almost immediately. Shar, in a panic, ran after our Ural, grabbed the side of the truck, scrambled inside, and only then started buttoning his pants. We had never heard the sounds of artillery before. So, we were convinced that they were shooting directly at us! The believers among us prayed. That day, many of us had the thought for the first time: "Maybe I did something wrong in this life? Maybe I shouldn't have taken that damn draft notice and gone to the recruitment office? What a fool I am..."Only later did we realize that it was Russian artillery firing near us. But we didn't see them. "Near" meant within a kilometre of us. What we considered incoming rounds were actually outgoing fire. But back then, we were sure of the opposite. Our cheerful journey transformed into sheer terror. We arrived "somewhere," in the middle of nowhere. On one side – sunflowers; on the other – a field. Beyond that – another field. None of the fields had been cultivated since the beginning of the war, and between them was a tree line.

Part 2/?"Unload!" the driver commanded."Pyatnashka, take positions, find yourselves some trenches!" Stopor, our platoon commander, added. It was already getting dark. We dispersed along the tree line, spreading out as much as possible. Shaiba assigned me as an observer for our squad. I took a position under a tree and began… observing. It was difficult to call it a "position" – there was no cover dug there. And there was nothing to observe either. Someone shouted to me, "The enemy is over there!" and pointed to the field. So, I started looking in that direction. A village was visible beyond the field, with trucks constantly driving through it. To the right, there was some kind of lake and the slope of a hill, with a dirt road winding along it. Something was moving along that road, too.Artillery shells and flares regularly flew over our heads, and sometimes drones. Back then, we reacted to every stimulus."Incoming!"Every minute someone would yell, "Incoming!" Everyone would drop to the ground and wait for the alarm to pass. But the alarm never ends. Anyone could shout "Incoming!" as soon as they heard or saw something they considered dangerous. But no one ever shouted "All clear!", because no one ever knew when the danger had passed. Everyone got up from the ground at their own discretion. At first, we waited for a minute. Then for half a minute. Then for ten seconds. Then it gradually dawned on us that they weren't actually shooting at us. And some of us stopped hitting the dirt. An hour later, I fell asleep sitting under that tree.
People in Yakutsk will not even be able to vote for the mayor lmao:>A bill to abolish direct elections of the mayor of Yakutsk has been submitted to the parliament of the republic>It allows for variability in the procedure for electing the head of any municipality in this Russian region>The discussion about the feasibility of direct elections for the mayor of Yakutsk began in mid-October>Deputy of the State Assembly of Yakutia Viktor Fedorov (United Russia) introduced a bill into the regional parliament that would allow the abolition of direct elections in Yakutsk, one of four administrative centers in Russia where the head of the city is still elected by citizens. United Russia reported this to Vedomosti. The amendments (Vedomosti has a copy) provide that the head of any municipal entity of the republic, including its capital, can be elected by any legal means, while the current version of the law “On Local Self-Government in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)” provides for mandatory regulation - the election of the head only through direct elections.>The current procedure for electing heads “may negatively affect the socio-economic development of a separate municipal entity,” follows from the explanatory note. The variability in the procedure for electing mayors provided for by Fedorov’s bill “contributes to increasing the efficiency of the municipal government system, as well as strengthening the protection of citizens’ voting rights,” the document notes. The adoption of the amendments “will further have a beneficial effect on the development of both municipalities and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) as a region as a whole, thanks to the effective and systematic rotation of local management personnel,” their author believes.1/3

>>486682239>The explanatory note also notes that the bill was developed to bring it into compliance with Federal Law No. 131 “On the General Principles of the Organization of Local Self-Government.” If Fedorov's bill is adopted, there will not be an automatic transition to competitive election of heads, notes lawyer Oleg Zakharov.>“In each case, this will need to be done manually, through changing the charters, by voting by deputies of the local parliament,” he told Vedomosti. According to the expert, for many uluses, their popularly elected mayor is an attribute of local identity, therefore, “it is unlikely that the widespread replacement of elected local heads with competitive ones will take place quickly and painlessly,” but “the legal gate for such changes is now open.”>The discussion about the feasibility of direct elections for the mayor of Yakutsk began in mid-October, when a group of deputies of the City Duma proposed an amendment to the second reading of the bill “On the general principles of organizing local self-government in a unified system of public authority”, which would be considered in the State Duma in 2021, abolishing the elections of mayors of regional administrative centers. The proposal was also supported by the mayor of Yakutsk, United Russia member Evgeny Grigoriev, Sergei Perminov, Deputy Secretary of the General Council of United Russia, who was elected in direct elections in 2021, told Vedomosti that the initiative to abolish the mayoral elections seems constructive, fits into the logic of modern transformations and is worthy of study.2/3

United Russia won with a result of 54.36% of the vote, “and one cannot say that it was a triumphant march of the party in power,” the expert pointed out.>Direct elections of mayors currently remain in four administrative centers of Siberia and the Far East: Abakan (Khakassia), Anadyr (Chukotka), Khabarovsk and Yakutsk. Part 3/?When Shaiba woke me up, he found a replacement for me and told me to find a place to sleep. Many things had been dug in this tree line, but nothing had been completed. Someone had dug trenches before us – but they were shallow, and there were too few of them. Someone had dug dugouts before us – but they weren't covered. Essentially, we had neither combat nor living shelters. In complete darkness, struggling to find our belongings, we began settling in for the night under the open sky. I was lucky – my sleeping bag was lying in a pile of things almost at the surface. I chose a spot in an open dugout. The others settled wherever they could.Even though I didn't have a roof over my head, I was still below ground level. To this day, I believe it's better to live and sleep underground. The next day, the situation started to become clearer. A contract soldier artilleryman, Kaplya (Drop), came to visit us, and he told us the following.“We’re near Village U. You can see it over there, beyond the field. You’re the third line of defence. There are two more lines of our soldiers between you and the Ukrops. We, the artillery, are positioned behind you, behind the sunflowers. Everyone around here is on our side. Essentially, nothing threatens you here, as long as you’re careful and don’t attract attention.”This was a huge relief for us. We started walking around the tree line, inspecting the positions. Each squad chose a dugout and started setting it up. Actually, we were very lazy about setting up our dugouts. We didn’t even bother covering them with logs – we just stretched tarps over them and piled our belongings underneath. We built a few tents on the surface, lit several fires to make coffee and tea. The squad leaders set up posts for night duty. Now we were only afraid of the legendary DRGs – enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups – and were convinced that they would sneak up on us at night.

And now for our special segment. This one is called GOOD RUSSIANS AND MEMES:>“Give me my son’s watch back, I’ll watch the time and wait for him.”>Photos, memes and notebook: why student Ibragim Orujov was sentenced to 16 years. Report from the courtroom>In four days, three military judges dealt with the criminal case of 23-year-old student-translator Ibragim Orujov, who was accused of teaching terrorism and preparing for a terrorist attack. According to investigators, Orudzhev allegedly prepared to set fire to the Moscow military registration and enlistment office. During the debate, prosecutor Svetlana Tarasova demanded that the court sentence the young man to 18 years in prison; the judges sentenced him to two years less. "Novaya" says, what happened in the military court on the day of the verdict.>It took the judges of the 2nd Western District Military Court - Evgeny Zubov, Konstantin Repet, led by presiding officer Igor Nikitchuk - less than an hour and a half to make the final decision, and less than five minutes to pronounce the verdict. Ibrahim, with his hands clenched behind his back and handcuffed, listened to this decision, standing in the judicial “aquarium” straight and straight, with an absolutely calm face. Calm not from indifference to his own fate, but from the fact that he hardly expected anything different. The defendant stood calmly and humbly; he learned the appointed time without emotion. But the reactions on the faces of the listeners are sympathy and indignation.>Two dozen people came to support Ibrahim - as many as one of the largest courtrooms could accommodate. Any shouts, applause, even just talking were strictly prohibited by the bailiffs. The student was encouraged through facial expressions and non-verbally. His mother, Yulia Vovk, after the announcement, she was not at all allowed to say goodbye to her son - the bailiffs interrupted her parting words mid-sentence: “This is not a date for you!”1/?
Part 4/?Company First Sergeant Vishnya paid us a visit and organized a field kitchen. Two platoons were stationed in our tree line: ours and the neighboring one. Vishnya and the supply guys stayed a bit further away, preparing food and bringing the field kitchen to feed us. Company Commander Lineika also visited us a couple of days later, inspected the positions, and stayed with us.In the process, it turned out that not all of our belongings had reached their destination. Some of the duffel bags that we had crammed into the trucks in the City of A ended up with our neighbours in another company and were lying there in a big pile. The same thing happened with their bags – they were brought to us. So, we ended up with a bunch of someone else's stuff, while our things were somewhere with another company. The most unlucky one was a mobilized soldier nicknamed "Tuz" (Ace) – this poor guy was left without a sleeping bag. My God, he slept without a sleeping bag out in the open and somehow didn't freeze to death – and it was already late autumn, and the temperature dropped to freezing at night. We were lucky there was no rain or snow.We got used to the artillery fire, got used to living outdoors. In the evenings, we watched the horizon, trying to make out where our artillery was firing. And on the second or third night, Dubina started firing.Dubina, Shinel, and another soldier nicknamed "Kolobok" (Gingerbread Man) had occupied one trench together and were trying to set it up. They agreed on duty shifts as follows: Dubina and Shinel would take turns at night, and Kolobok would be on duty during the day. Having stood watch all day, the still inexperienced Kolobok lay down to sleep, unaware of any trouble. At that time, Dubina noticed something in the fog on the other side of the field…
>>486682598>In addition to his mother, his sister Maryam, two years younger than him, a childhood friend with whom he studied at the same sports school for several years, as well as his fiancée, came to support Ibrahim. This sweet girl first saw him behind the glass of the “aquarium” when she came to one of the meetings to extend the preventive measure. After that, she continued going to hearings. With the permission of the investigator, she was able to visit her fiance in the pre-trial detention center.>Of all the defendant’s relatives and friends, the only one missing from the courtroom that day was his beloved grandmother. She did not come because she suffered a stroke.>Her speech has seriously deteriorated, and there are other complications. Grandmother is now 75 years old. In addition to Ibrahim’s mother, his sister is caring for her.>Maryam restrained herself during the announcement of the verdict. But after... in the hall next to the statue of Themis, she could not stand it and burst into tears.>“At least I didn’t cry in front of him,” Maryam whispered when she caught her breath a little. - This is already good.>And my mother suppressed the tears that were coming, talking with the defense attorneys while waiting for documents after the hearing.>“Nothing, nothing,” she answered mechanically to everyone, who came up and touched her shoulder, hugging her. - I’m holding on, I’m holding on...>The defendant’s mother has a hearing disability (she wears a hearing aid), which the prosecutor took into account as a mitigating circumstance when asking for a term. She also included the health status of Ibrahim’s grandmother, his sister’s illness, and also that he helps all three women both with housework and financially. The father does not live with his family. The judges, interrogating the accused before the debate, found out that he himself had diseases, including scoliosis of 42 degrees.2/?
>>486682555Well, I plan to release it to pastebin, it's just I'm posting them here for any feedback.
>>486682630>- Already 42! - exclaimed the most talkative of the judges, Zubov. - And in the case materials it was 36 degrees! And what, is it progressing? Has it grown so much in five years? Well, are you somehow fighting this, Orudzhev? Swimming? Gymnastics?>Seriously? In which colony?>It also turned out that Ibrahim had been working all the time since his student days. For some time, unofficially - as a realtor, under a civil contract - as a courier in a well-known fast delivery service and as a storekeeper in one of the large marketplaces. His monthly income did not exceed 30–40 thousand rubles. He studied at the university for free.>Immediately before his arrest, he lived in the town of Reutov near Moscow in an apartment with his relatives. By the way, during the search, the security forces found, according to the verdict, two US dollars. The court, resolving the issue of material evidence, ordered that this money be returned to its owner. But my mother, in a conversation with Novaya, noted, that there were six dollars, and there was also a watch worth about 20 thousand rubles. The watch was also confiscated; its fate remained unclear when the verdict was read.>“It’s not about money, but let them return my son’s watch,” Yulia is indignant. - This is an expensive thing for him, and therefore for me. I will look at the time according to them and wait for him - all these years... No matter how many there are in the end...>What happened to the watch, they will try to find out during the appeal, which is also still at least months away, but the very phone with which he photographed the work schedule of the military registration and enlistment office and in which they found memes with Ukrainian symbols, Orudzheva will not be returned - they decided to turn it into state income.3/?
>>486682366Why do you shit on streets anyways? Why can't you just dig a hole in the ground and put a tent above it? It's like zero investment and ahout of work maximum.
>>486682651>Before the debate, the judges were especially interested in the accused why, if, as he assured during interrogation on the third day of hearings in his case, he planned to create a computer game in which one of the players could take the side of the enemy while playing, and it was represented in his phone by those very Ukrainian symbols, then there, in the gallery, there was no paraphernalia of the other side, that is, conventionally ours.>— Who acts on our side in the special operation? - asked presiding officer Nikitchuk. — What units do you know?>“Rusich,” “Wagner,” Ibrahim listed. He also explained that, being from a family of military personnel, he knew Russian heraldry (both the country and its army) from a young age, and therefore there was no need to save it in the phone as something special or special. — He perceived our symbolism as part of his worldview.>And state prosecutor Svetlana Tarasova was very embarrassed by the fact that Orudzhev “did not virally send memes with Ukrainian symbols to anyone, but only kept them for himself.” In her opinion, this contradicts the very essence of memes and once again proves his guilt.>Let me note here: I also have hundreds of memes saved on my phone (not with Ukrainian symbols), which I somewhere, unconsciously wandering around the Internet, found on various resources and which seemed interesting to me. Nobody sent any of them to me, nor did I send them to anyone, because I think it's just bad form. Saving these “funny pictures,” as prosecutor Tarasova calls them, without forwarding them does not make them not memes. The accused clearly and politely explained this point, but the prosecutor did not understand.4/7
>>486682538did i say stop supporting ukraine? noi just said it's fucking unfair that zelensky gave all the investment contracts to krauts and french, while we get fuck all and zelensky is treating us like shit.
>>486682683>In addition to the memes that were not sent anywhere, Prosecutor Tarasova was upset by the various applications found on Ibragim’s phone - she announced their names as “Foreign intelligence services application”, “UAV control”, “Foreign intelligence”, “Conspiracy”. And in a notebook found at his home, among the entries were the following: “To set fire to military registration and enlistment offices,” one of the possible recipes for a Molotov cocktail, “Ways to fight the state”, various drawings.>“From the found diary of Orudzhev, it clearly follows that he planned to “organize people to repel Putin,” Tarasova listed. “He had the most serious intentions!”>These very serious intentions of the accused, she concluded, confirm that the day of November 10, 2023 for going to the military registration and enlistment office in order to photograph his schedule “was chosen by Ibrahim for a reason.”>- This is the Day of the Ministry of Internal Affairs! — she almost screamed, triumphant. - Or in common people, as in the old way, - Police Day. Everyone knows about this! And he, being from a military family, knew! That’s why he chose this day - not only is it Friday evening (about 6 p.m.), it’s also Police Day. Knew that there will no longer be any security at the military registration and enlistment office and he will freely photograph its opening hours.5/7
>>486682715>After listing the evidence, describing Orudzhev as “a man with a core, who has an extraordinary mindset and knows how to build a dialogue,” she advised him, “before it’s too late, to save his honor and admit guilt.” “Trust in the system after this [during the investigation and heard at the trial] is both anecdotal and tragic,” Ibrahim said at the debate. - If you think like this, how many stones form a pile? I read some certificate in Chinese - have I already learned terrorism or not yet? Knowledge of the Russian language cannot be considered special knowledge, as they assured me, this is my native language. In principle, in essence, I am charged with sabotage. If you just read it and say: “Apparently, yes, this is sabotage. The person does not agree with military actions and is resisting.” But why is this classified as a terrorist attack? It is unclear who I was going to intimidate. Professional people who already interact with these things every day? This is unclear to me.>Lawyer Nikolai Fomin and defense attorney Vladimir Vasilenko asked the court to acquit their client. Fomin - due to lack of proof of guilt, Vasilenko - due to the lack of evidence of a crime. However, a trio of judges sentenced the student to 16 years in prison, considering that circumstantial evidence in the form of memes and links is enough to make such a verdict. Orujov will have to spend three years out of 16 in prison, the rest in a maximum security colony6/7
Part 5/?And Dubina opened fire! From his machine gun!Let me remind you that we were in the third line of defence, meaning everyone around us was on our side! Dubina thought that enemy saboteurs were crawling towards us across the field, and opened fire.Kolobok woke up to the sound of a Kalashnikov machine gun firing bursts right next to his ear, and hot shell casings raining down on his sleeping bag. Waking up like that is an adventure in itself. Kolobok hadn't even fully opened his eyes when Dubina yelled in his ear:“Change positions!”And the whole brave trio dashed to a neighbouring trench to take up a new position there. At that moment, everyone was roused by the alarm. I was so reluctant to get out of my sleeping bag, but I knew I had to. Although, honestly, I felt that this alarm was false. We dispersed to our positions and peered into the fog over the field for an hour – but saw nothing. We didn't want to fire unnecessarily.

>>486682737>THE LAST WORD OF IBRAHIM ORUJEV>“Based on everything that we studied in court, from what I myself remember (no one will ever take this away from me anyway), I did not admit myself guilty and still do not admit it. I consider the accusation to be the result of the fact that, apparently, officials are hostages of their own position, in which they are obliged to carry out some actions, because the article is still quite serious. To turn back at such a stage really seems quite difficult, so some nagging begins and taking people at their word. However, these are too serious things to use such techniques, in my opinion. >Taking into account the general nature of how I was detained, what dirty tricks were used, taking into account the fact that after all my appeal (Orujev, during interrogation in court, stated that on the day of his arrest the security forces used torture on him and demanded that he confess. - E . M.) was considered by the Prosecutor General's Office, however, the investigative authorities did not make a final decision on this matter. (...) I say that it was all [torture], but we still can’t give an objective picture, being critical of my words, of course. Therefore, today I cannot definitely be found guilty. Even if you really want to, even if you try very consistently to complete the task. This is my position. I ask you to acquit me accordingly. Completely, for all episodes. Fully return all physical evidence to my family. Actually, I have everything.”7/7https://novayagazeta.ru/articles/2024/11/01/vernite-chasy-syna-budu-smotret-vremia-i-zhdat-egoAnd that was it for today's SFB News update. Part 6/6The next day, after this incident, our company commander Lineika decided to go and see where Dubina had actually been shooting. Maybe there were enemy bodies left there, struck down by the bullets of our brave machine gunner?Lineika inspected Village U and the field in the sector that Dubina had fired upon, but found nothing. However, Lineika encountered a Kamaz driver from another battalion, who told him a frightening story: "I was driving, you see, last night through Village U, as usual, with my headlights off. I stopped, you see, by an abandoned house to rummage through it a bit. And suddenly a machine gun opens fire on me! From where? Unclear! Why? Who? Unclear! There shouldn't be any Ukrops here, it's all our guys!"From then on, jokes circulated about Dubina, the madman, the lunatic, who had shot up a "Kamaz." And not a Ukrop Kamaz, but one of ours. During regular service, he would have been chewed out for this. But ours wasn't regular service – ours was war. They didn’t scold Dubina too harshly for this; they understood that if a real enemy DRG had been in place of that Kamaz, he really would have needed to shoot. On the fifth day of our stay in Village U, I had the idea to build a latrine. I honestly dug a hole among the sunflowers, set up stumps of the right size for comfort. A piece of plywood with a hole made an excellent seat. Not like at home, of course, but not bad at all. The human body reacts to stressful situations in different ways. And for me, stress means constipation. Constipation can last up to a week. The body tries to absorb all the nutrients it can and not waste anything unnecessarily. That's why I really wanted to make a comfortable toilet, so I could finally feel human again. It was all for nought. I never got to use it.We were given the order to pack up and leave our settled position. The next chapter is Villages of P.Z. Frontline. Autumn '22.

"Disposable Soldier"Chapter 5. Villages P and Z. Front Line. Autumn '22The original can be found here: https://endchan.net/.media/523c1e63e16c9ca9a21c77a2960065ab-applicationpdf.pdfPart 1/?Our platoon was the first to move to the new location. We arrived in some forest, already in darkness. We spent a long time lugging our belongings from place to place before finally settling down for the night under the open sky. We didn't find any housing, and we only started exploring the surroundings in the morning. That morning, the temperature dropped just below freezing, and my sleeping bag was lightly covered with frost. When I crawled out of it, it softly crunched. Beautiful, simply beautiful! Ah, if only this were a vacation in nature – it would have been just perfect! But alas, it's only perfect when you can always return home, to civilization. After wandering around the area, we discovered a couple of covered dugouts – they were ready for habitation, but there wouldn't have been enough space for everyone. There were also a couple of open dugouts that needed to be finished, requiring roofs made of logs (called "nakat"). Our platoon deputy, Stopor, announced to us all: "We're deep in the rear! We're surrounded by our own! Nothing threatens us here, we just need to sit tight and keep a low profile! We're incredibly lucky to have ended up in this place. Let's prepare the dugouts for living in!"But we had already figured out that there wouldn't be enough space for everyone in the dugouts: we needed to occupy houses!
Part 2/?It was wonderful. After living outdoors, we finally returned to a warm and dry place. We rested and slept for a couple of days.We washed ourselves for the first time in a week! The houses had small rooms with drains where you could wash yourself from a bucket. We heated the water on the stove – pure bliss! Not far from the houses was a small lake where we washed our clothes. The water was cold – it was late autumn – but it was water!Tuz, who had been sleeping without a sleeping bag all this time, having recovered by the stove, was back to life. A couple of soldiers, Suleiman and Kryuk (Hook), went fishing in the lake and even caught a couple of fish. A kilometre from our houses, we discovered a spring where the locals collected clean water, and we started going there too. There was no noise around. No artillery fire nearby. We were stationed far behind the artillery, and nothing bothered us. For the show, we set up observation posts to control the road and observe the village from the hill – but these posts were completely useless because there was nothing to observe. In the evenings, we played cards and listened to Ukrainian radio on our radios. Life was getting better, and we firmly decided to spend the winter in Village P. Just sit there, keep the stove warm, and collect your pay.But we were very quickly driven out of this Eden. A few days later, Lineika arrived and gave the order to move to new positions again: “We’re going there for a couple of days! Take only the essentials! It will be dangerous there, the Ukrops will be less than a kilometre away: there will be no time to mess with your belongings!”
>>486683630I would so much love to shit into your mouth.
Part 3/?And again, the loading of belongings, again the Ural, crammed full of duffel bags and people in body armor and helmets, with rifles. Again, we were going "nowhere." We took only the most necessary things with us, leaving one person to guard everything else in Village P – the most useless comrade from the army's point of view – Shesternya. He had enough firewood and food to survive alone. But even then, many laughed at him. He couldn't light a stove by himself, couldn't maintain the fire, couldn't cook food. I'm not exactly a survival expert either, but compared to him, I was Bear Grylls. As for us, we left Village P. again towards evening and arrived at a transit point in Village Z. We were told we would spend the night here and move on the next day. The first collective decision: Occupy the houses! Each squad found an abandoned house. Walking along the nearest street of the village, we encountered soldiers from other units."Hey, guys! Are you mobiks?" (mobilized soldiers)"Nah, we're contract soldiers.""Where are you from?""Nizhnegorskaya."The name "Nizhnegorskaya" meant nothing to us. We didn't know anyone here besides the soldiers from our own battalion."Listen, guys, what kind of village is this?""Village Z.""Is there a store here or something like that?""There is, a village store further down the street, but there's almost nothing there. And there's a dealer beyond the ravine, he has a lot of stuff."

When will Ukraine start winning?
And now the Phinish mentally ill turd is shitting up the thread with his useles walls of text that nobody has time to read it...Wow, you pukes are so dumb.
Part 4/?Disappointed with the selection, we went to the dealer on the other side of the ravine. The dealer had a completely different approach to trade. He didn't have a building with shelves of goods. Instead, customers would approach the gate, and the seller, Vityok (Victor), would come out. Always in a black jacket and always with a headlamp on his forehead. We asked Vityok what he had and how much it cost. Vityok wrote down our order on a piece of paper but didn't name the prices for the goods, saying he couldn't remember. After that, he would go into the house, gather the order into bags, bring them out, and only then announce the final price. Take it or leave it. In most cases, everyone agreed – there was nowhere else to buy.And the dealer's assortment was much wider than in the village store. Soda, sausage, cheese, vegetables, flashlights, wires, batteries, cigarettes, bread to order, mayonnaise, ketchup, headphones, sweets, waffles, and so on. The dealer himself went to Russia to stock up every few days, his wife looked after the house and the warehouse, and his son, also Vityok, traded with the customers. It was clear that the business was well-established. This dealer had beaten the village store in the competition and cornered the entire market in the surrounding area. Soldiers from all nearby positions and residents from other villages came to the dealer in Z. For us, this dealer became the only thread connecting us to civilization for a long time.Having stocked up on cigarettes and snacks, we returned to our houses and stayed the night in Z. And then I realized something terrible – I had forgotten my sleeping bag in Village of P! I had forgotten to take it with me! A fatal mistake. I slept in my clothes, and my feet were completely numb after an hour, let alone by morning. Now I had to experience the plight of poor Tuz.
Part 5/6The next morning, we went to the meeting point and realized that our luck with the weather had run out. It was raining. Rain during wartime is a terrible thing. If you have a roof over your head, you’re lucky. But even then, you can’t stay indoors all the time. You constantly have to do something outside. So, there we were, trudging through the rain to the loading area, knowing deep down that we wouldn’t be able to dry off.At the loading area, we waited a long time for our transport. And, luckily, we found shelter from the rain—a huge piece of tarp lying nearby. After somehow spreading it out, a crowd of thirty men huddled underneath. Those standing at the edges held the ends of the tarp. We resembled a flock of penguins trying to keep each other warm. A couple of hours later, another Ural arrived and took us to some obscure tree line. In this tree line, there was absolutely nothing: no dugouts, no trenches, no paths. We just stood among the trees, not knowing what to do next. And the rain kept pouring down. Some of our guys started complaining to the command.“They dumped us in the middle of the forest!”“No positions, no shelter, nothing!”“Where are we, anyway?”“When will they bring food?”“This is fucked up!”
Part 6/6All the stones were thrown at our platoon commander. He lost control of the men. Everyone was dissatisfied. We spent the whole day like this. Just standing in the middle of the tree line, waiting for what would happen next. And finally, in the evening, something did happen. Our presence in this tree line wasn't needed by anyone. The command sent a new truck to take us to an apiary near Village of I. At that time, it was under enemy control. We didn't know if there was fighting going on there or some kind of offensive. We didn't know anything. No one told us or explained anything to us. Our guys didn't want to go. But if we didn't go, it was also unclear what would happen next and what to do. So, half of the platoon declared their unwillingness to follow orders, but nevertheless, everyone boarded the truck and we left. By nightfall, we arrived at the apiary near Village of I.>cofi status?
"Disposable Soldier"Chapter 6. Arrival at the Apiary near Village of I. Front Line. Autumn '22The original can be found here: https://endchan.net/.media/523c1e63e16c9ca9a21c77a2960065ab-applicationpdf.pdfPart 1/?We jumped off the Ural near the apiary. Unloaded our belongings and piled them in the mud by the roadside. We were met by contract soldiers who lived there in the small house belonging to the apiary's owner. We were in luck with these contract soldiers: they showed us where we could settle in. Besides the main house, there were several other structures on the apiary grounds: a banya (sauna), a barn, garages with equipment, a spacious cellar for beehives, and a few sheds. Luckily, there was enough room for everyone. We settled into the beehive cellar, pulled the straw from the barn and spread it on the floor for comfortable sleeping. This cellar served as both our sleeping quarters and a shelter in case of artillery shelling. We stored our belongings in the garages to protect them from the rain. There was a small potbelly stove in the cellar, which we immediately put to use. We ruthlessly broke apart the beehive frames and spent the first week heating the stove with them. It was heartbreaking. Someone calculated that each frame was worth about a hundred rubles. The apiary's owner had spent years diligently crafting these frames, and now they were being used as firewood. We were heating the stove with money and the beekeeper's labour. And there were a lot of frames and beehives: about a hundred hives, with a dozen frames for each hive. Nevertheless, it was still very cold at night.Every night I cursed myself for not bringing a sleeping bag.
>>486681252>everyone who is against bottom surgeries for prepubescent children is Putler's pawn.>Sounds legit Dr. John Money.
Part 2/3The contract soldiers told us that the enemy was a little over half a kilometre away. Only later did we realize that they were just trying to scare us. We set up posts for observation and security of our positions. Between us and the enemy was a road, a field, and some hills. Our vehicles drove along the road, and the field was mined. Tree lines were visible on the hills where the enemy was positioned, but they were actually more than a kilometre and a half away. We didn’t see any enemy soldiers. But the posts had to be set up just in case.My squad set up a post in the middle – closest to our living quarters. It was only a three-minute walk to the post: a real treat. But you had to stand guard around the clock; we divided the time so that each of us stood for an average of three hours during the day and three hours at night. Not too much, not too little. There was time to sleep and to take care of chores. Things were calm. On the third night, it started to snow. Not just snow, but a blizzard. In the middle of the night, we went out on duty in our ponchos and discovered that the blizzard was blowing right in our faces. Standing guard for those three hours was unbearable; the snow stung our eyes, the cold was bitter, and we couldn't see a thing. After standing like this for about half an hour, we, without conferring, turned our backs to the enemy and simply stood there with our backs to them. Perhaps, if they had decided to attack that night, we wouldn't have seen anything at all! We endured those miserable three hours and went back to sleep.

They still believe the myth of Russia as a multicultural country that fights against old empires and stands for a multi-polar world. The USSR spent a long time cultivating this image of an anti-imperialist force, juxtaposing it with the “rotten West”, which has colonized countries across the world, and "continues to oppress other countries and cultures on the international stage". In the past and present, Russia has taken an active part in colonial and neocolonial pursuits across the world. Let’s take Africa as an example:▪ In the late 19th century, Russia attempted to join the "scramble for Africa" alongside other European powers – only their spectacular failure at this venture protects them from rightfully being counted among the colonizers. Nikolai Ashinov proposed plans to conquer Sudan and Ethiopia, leading to initial enthusiasm among Russian officials. Alongside military ambitions, there were proposals to establish a joint-stock company for resource extraction in Ethiopia, reflecting the economic motivations behind these colonial aspirations. Ashinov's initial settlement attempt in Djibouti failed due to lack of resources and subsequent abandonment, while the Russian efforts in Ethiopia were characterized by exploitation and a focus on self-promotion rather than genuine colonial governance.>part 1

>>486684529>When Ukrainians talk about Russian colonialism, many people in the West do not understand us. They still believe the myth of Russia as a multicultural country that fights against old empires and stands for a multi-polar world.▪ A number of African countries have fond memories of Soviet support for their independence struggles in mid-20th century. But while the USSR (and now Russia) seek to portray their motives as noble and altruistic, it was, in fact, in a battle for influence with the United States. Soviet authorities deployed a full arsenal of “active measures” – propaganda, manipulation of local media, and forgery of evidence of “Western plots” included. For example, the KGB worked hard to stoke Ghanaian leader Kwame Nkrumah’s paranoia against the CIA, leading him to accuse the US of plotting his overthrow, as recorded in the Mitrokhin archives.▪ Today, Russia continues to use the legacy of Soviet support to pursue its goals in Africa. The Kremlin’s activities are focused on destabilizing states to serve its strategic interests, largely through military influence and economic exploitation. For example, Russia supports regimes in Mali and the Central African Republic (CAR) with arms and Wagner Group mercenaries, fostering dependency and political leverage. Disinformation campaigns amplify these efforts by sowing anti-Western sentiments, allowing Russia to secure access to resources and political loyalty. This approach weakens African governance, entrenching instability that favors Moscow's influence over the continent.>part 2

Although the Soviet Union once supported some African liberation movements, both then and today, Russia’s anti-imperialist rhetoric serves as a cover for its self-interest and control, including:▪weapon sales;▪construction and operation of nuclear power plants: nuclear power plants require close cooperation between security services through control over production of enriched uranium, and technological and financial dependence on the reactor designer;▪rights to natural resources across the continent;▪army and defense recruitment. All in all, we are seeing the Russian influence in Africa grow. However, I am sure that the leaders of African countries are also increasingly understanding that Russia's presence is a national security threat, not a solution to their problems.African countries' liberation struggles against colonizers are close in spirit to the resistance of the Ukrainian society to the Russian invasion. The countries of Africa and Ukraine have a lot in common, many similar unhealed wounds. Chapter 7. Quiet Life at the Apiary near Village of U. Frontline. Autumn '22The original can be found here: https://endchan.net/.media/523c1e63e16c9ca9a21c77a2960065ab-applicationpdf.pdfPart 1/?We gradually started settling in at the apiary. It was very cramped in the cellar; thirty men lived in sixty square meters, and over time, we got tired of it. Some people moved from the cellar to the surface, into the garages. In my opinion, this was dangerous, so I stayed put in the cellar until the very end. But all our belongings were moved to the garage. Our living space was cramped, but over time, it became cosier. The most important thing was the stove. We tried different options, and the most reliable turned out to be a barrel. A large rain barrel was turned upside down, and placed on bricks, with a grate inserted at the bottom. Kryuk and I used a bayonet and bricks to make holes in the barrel. At the bottom, many holes for airflow and a door for firewood. At the top – an opening for the pipe. We managed to find two elbow joints and a couple of metal sheets. We slowly and painstakingly fastened the metal together with wire, and it turned into a hideous but functional stovepipe. Kryuk, our master stove-maker, sealed the entire structure with a potent mixture of clay and cow dung. The barrel stove turned out monstrous. After several days of unholy rituals of makeshift production and dances with a tambourine, hammer, and cow dung, this infernal contraption was born. A hellish spawn. Ugly, terrifying, leaky, smeared with shit – a Frankensteinian monster. But reliable and fully functional. We made it ourselves, and that was good. While we lived at the apiary, this stove reliably heated our garage; sometimes it even got too hot, like in a sauna.
Part 2/?The beehives and planks made excellent bunks. Many of the hives were empty, and we took them apart for parts. Disassemble one hive, lay down the planks, put foam padding and a sleeping bag on top – and the bunk is ready. That's how three people from the cellar moved into our garage.Soon, our remaining belongings arrived. Finally, all the missing items were recovered, and everyone had a sleeping bag and spare warm clothes. My sleeping bag also arrived, and I could finally sleep like a human being again!I made my bed in the cellar out of huge bricks. Whether they were salt licks for cows or construction blocks, I don't know – I carried them into the cellar and arranged them in the hive rack, laid straw on top, then foam padding and my sleeping bag. I even made a bedside table out of another brick – a real fairytale. Hive racks were installed along the entire cellar, and all the soldiers eventually adapted them for furniture. These racks were transformed into beds, shelves, clothes dryers, kitchen tables, and bedside tables. Thankfully, there were enough planks for all of this. Essentially, we lived like homeless people, but it was a quiet and good life. Our company commander, Lineika, would sometimes visit us. He had acquired an SUV and occasionally drove around the positions. Soon, he brought us a generator, which was installed in one of the sheds. There weren't many outlets, but over time we managed to run electricity to the cellar and the garages. Most importantly, this generator allowed us to charge our radios, flashlights, and power banks.

Part 3/?We were also very lucky with water: the apiary had a well with an electric pump. Once a day, we turned on the pump and filled all our bottles with clean water. Luckily, we had plenty of them – a batch of bottled drinking water had been delivered to us. We drank this water as is, and the well water was boiled and used for tea, coffee, and cooking. We could even heat the banya and wash ourselves and our clothes – there was always plenty of water. The same couldn't be said about food. Food deliveries were very irregular. The road from the rear to us was under enemy artillery fire, and the drivers were afraid to drive to us – and the supply officers were reluctant to lose vehicles. At first, there was a constant food shortage. We were living hand-to-mouth, and a man was assigned to our squad to be in charge of food. This was Tush – he would portion out the food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and he gave out very little. For example, lunch at first might consist of a single packet of instant noodles, one slice of bread with butter, and one piece of candy.Disheartened by this state of affairs, we tried to find a solution. Kot (Cat), Vratar (Goalkeeper), and I made several trips on foot to the neighbouring Village of Z, to our now-familiar dealer. It was a long walk there – several kilometres – and the road was difficult. A tractor track led uphill across a field, the mud underfoot squelching and hindering our progress, not a soul or a passing vehicle around, and on both sides of the track – a minefield. Only near the village did the road turn into smooth asphalt, where we could catch a ride and ask for a lift. Besides, the three of us couldn't carry much food for thirty people.

>>486684763It's a coping mechanism, you'll have to forgive him.
Part 4/4On one of these trips, we noticed soldiers from another unit butchering a cow. We didn’t know these guys, but Shar asked them to share some meat, and they readily treated us. They cut off a piece of a cow’s leg, which I dutifully carried on my back all the way to the apiary. This was enough to feed the entire platoon for a whole day.But this couldn't go on forever, so we made the only possible decision – to start hunting for our own game. The brave adventurers Grusha and Shmel lured one of the wandering cows, threw a noose around its neck, and led it closer to the apiary. Its death was swift, and the knives got to work. Without much hesitation, we quickly butchered the cow and distributed the meat among the squads. The temperature outside was just above freezing, so we simply stored the meat in empty beehives, where it kept well, as if in a refrigerator. That same evening, we started grilling shashlik. We found a rusty grill somewhere and started cooking the divine dish right there in the open. Everyone was happy, everyone finally had their fill. There was enough for everyone. We were standing outside in a group, chatting, smoking, and eating shashlik. That evening, Lineika came by and was indignant at such blatant disregard for appearances: “What do you think you’re doing here, having a vacation or something? Soldiers have come to fight a war, dammit! They’re standing here grilling shashlik in the open!” His face turned noticeably red. “Maybe I should bring you some beer, vodka, and some women, too? The Ukrops will look at you through their binoculars and be stunned! Chilling out in the open like they're at home!”In general, he was right, we were attracting too much attention to ourselves. The enemy was closely watching what was happening from the hills, and our idyllic life wasn’t destined to last forever.

President Zelenskyy gave an interview to South Korean TV channel KBS.Here are some quotes/points from his interview:◾ President Zelenskyy stated that the exchange of information is very important, so it's time for the intelligence agencies of both countries to cooperate. "If South Korea wants to know North Korea's true capabilities, if it wants to confirm the real value of North Korean soldiers, it will be helpful for South Korea to access information from here." ◾ According to the President, "About 3,000 North Korean soldiers are in training facilities, and we assess that the total will soon reach 12,000." He believes they will be engaged in battle with Ukrainian forces within days. Now, Zelenskyy says, "They are preparing to be deployed for battle."◾ Asked what Ukraine would do with captured North Koreans, Zelenskyy said, "We are ready to exchange North Korean troops for Ukrainians." That is, they would not be sent back to North Korea.◾ Ukraine will consider bringing Kim Jong-un to the International Criminal Court if North Korean troops use military force against Ukrainian citizens, the President said. "We will make a decision (on whether to file claims) after North Korean troops use military force against Ukrainian citizens. But if South Korea supports our actions, we believe we are ready to take countermeasures together with our allies."◾ Also, Zelenskyy stated that Russia has received some 3,5 million artillery shells from North Korea, as well as missiles. "In addition, North Korea will also send a considerable number of civilians to work in specific munitions factories in the Russian Federation," he said.Source: https://world.kbs.co.kr/service/news_view.htm?lang=e&Seq_Code=188823https://x.com/Gerashchenko_en/status/1852356989239677030

"Disposable Soldier"Chapter 8. Shooting at the Apiary near Village of I. Front Line. Winter '22The original can be found here: https://endchan.net/.media/523c1e63e16c9ca9a21c77a2960065ab-applicationpdf.pdfPart 1/?One fine day, we attracted attention. Grusha and Shmel were returning from their evening post. It was winter and it got dark early, so everything happened at dusk.Suddenly, the cold air was ripped apart by automatic gunfire. No one understood who was shooting or from where. Perhaps it was enemy saboteurs. Grusha and Shmel immediately threw themselves to the ground in the nearest ditch and lay flat. Against the grey sky, they saw a lone silhouette flash across the road in the direction of the enemy, and then there was no more movement or fire. After lying low for a few minutes and making sure the road was clear, Grusha and Shmel ran back to us and reported what had happened. We poured out of the buildings and took up positions, but there were no more incidents that night. That’s when we started digging deeper trenches.A few days later, enemy drones began flying over us. Not many, just once every couple of hours someone would come to take a look at us. The next day, one of us spotted something suspicious through binoculars on a hill half a kilometre away. Something that looked like a hut. For some reason, we thought that enemy saboteurs were launching drones from this hut.The decision was made to fire on this hut from all barrels. Lineika himself gave the go-ahead, personally participated, and brought his close associates to shoot as well. We took our positions and started firing all together. Rifles, machine guns, and grenade launchers – all at once. There was no reaction: no movement, no return fire. But with this foolish act, we attracted even more attention to ourselves and let the enemy know that we were still there.
Part 2/3We started digging the trenches even deeper, and at each of the three posts, we began digging larger shelters – "observation points."I also saw something myself. Standing alone at my post, against the backdrop of the setting sun, I saw two figures concealed by shadows, descending the hill towards me. Without hesitation, I reported this over the radio and fired a burst from my rifle in the direction where I had seen them. No reaction. To this day, I don't know if they were people or animals, or if I had just imagined it. But after that, we started digging even more trenches. After a while, one of our soldiers spotted several more figures disappearing into a small wooded area in the middle of the field. On the commander's orders, we took up positions and started firing again. The problem was that no one understood where to shoot. I didn't shoot because I didn't see a target. But the guys from the third post seemed to be shooting in the right direction. Because after a few bursts, a red flare rose from the wooded area. Whether it was some kind of signal from enemy saboteurs, we never found out. No one wanted to go into that wooded area and check. The "observation points" were dug deeper and turned into warming points.Besides all these silhouettes, animals constantly roamed the area. Cows, roe deer, and sometimes even wild boars. There was a huge cattle farm in this area, and hundreds of cows were left without an owner. Some cows lay dead in the field, others walked on three legs – the area was littered with anti-personnel mines.
Part 3/3We heard a tragicomic story about roe deer from one of the soldiers of a neighbouring unit: “One day, we shot a roe deer in the field. We were hungry, there wasn't much food. One of our guys went to get the roe deer. Boom! Stepped on a mine, and lost his leg. They took him away for evacuation. The guys thought, it’s a shame to waste the meat, we need to retrieve it. A second guy went for the roe deer. Boom! Also stepped on a mine, and lost his leg. They took him away. The guys thought, well, there can't be any more mines left now, the third time's the charm. A third guy went for the roe deer. Boom! Also stepped on a mine, lost his leg."And once, we personally saw a wild boar. Not just a boar, but a huge boar! Fresh snow had just fallen, covering the hillside, and there it was – a massive boar running through the undergrowth, clearly visible. Well, we didn’t bother it – we weren’t about to go after it across a minefield anyway. We spent half a month in such a nervous atmosphere. And then, one fine day, we attracted enough attention from the enemy for him to remind us: this is war, not a resort.

"Disposable Soldier"Chapter 9. Shelling and Deserters at the Apiary near Village of U. Frontline. Winter '22The original can be found here: https://endchan.net/.media/523c1e63e16c9ca9a21c77a2960065ab-applicationpdf.pdfPart 1/?We were busy with another distribution of supplies that Lineika had brought us. Instant noodles, grains, water, and other things. Tuz was dividing everything among the squads, and I took a box of zucchini caviar to carry it to the cellar. I had just taken my first step when a whistling sound passed over our heads. Half a second later – a booming explosion. We called this a "prilyot" (arrival/incoming).Tuz bolted from the spot instantly. He ran to the cellar as fast as his legs could carry him. Like a fool, I ran after him, still clutching the box. Only halfway to the cellar did it finally dawn on me that zucchini caviar wasn't that important in this situation, so I carefully placed the box on the ground and continued on my way.All the soldiers who had been caught on the surface by the enemy shelling ran to the cellar. We gathered downstairs and waited for the shelling to end. I never understood whether they were firing at us from a mortar or a tank. Our experienced warrior Dubina had been through this before, and he turned on the music:A y нac жapa, кaк нa Бopa-Бopa! Я бepy тeбя y бapa, бyдтo ты - виcки-кoлa! «A y вac тaкoй жapы нe былo» - ты гoвopишь! A y нac жapa тaкaя, чтo ты вcя гopишь, иo! Пoшлa жapa! Ukraine has developed a prosthesis that controls drones with the "power of thought".The new MARS prosthesis control system uses special sensors and artificial intelligence to recognize muscle movements. The prosthesis can literally understand the user's intentions. This approach makes prosthesis control more natural, and in the future, opens up new opportunities for controlling technologies such as drones. The user will be able to control the drone by changing the position of the prosthesis in space and tensing different muscles. The principle is similar to a computer mouse: the hand movement controls the direction and angle of the drone, and muscle tension controls functions such as pressing buttons.Esper Bionics is already testing a prototype, and next year, they plan to produce a version for the market. Part 2/?It was a hell of a party in the cellar under shelling!Luckily, none of us were injured. We were extremely fortunate at the apiary. When it was all over, about half an hour later, we went outside and started assessing the damage. Food was scattered everywhere around the apiary. People had dropped what they were carrying in panic: bread, cans, instant noodles, and water. Packages lay on the ground, some of them punctured by shrapnel. Several small new holes appeared in the house. And a few craters appeared in the garden. At first, the shelling occurred about once a week. Since the drivers were afraid to deliver food to us, Lineika took on this task. He brought supplies directly to our apiary in his SUV, risking being spotted and coming under fire. But thanks to him, we had enough food. With full bellies and due to stress, we started brewing braga (a homemade alcoholic beverage). We had a twenty-five-litre water container, and we could buy yeast and sugar from the dealer in Village Z in sufficient quantities. So, our resourceful comrades quickly started brewing the magic potion. Water, sugar, and yeast, plus honey and/or apples to taste. We had tons of honey; we scooped it out of the empty hives by the jarful. The braga was placed near the stove and left to ferment for a couple of days. And finally, the moment of uncorking arrived. Twenty-five litres of braga would be consumed by the platoon in a single evening. The braga was magical and long-lasting. You drink a mug – nothing, you drink a second – nothing, you drink a third, a fourth. And then, after half an hour, it hits you!The first time, we indulged and almost everyone overdid it. But luckily, we drank in our squads. At least one squad stayed sober each day, just in case something bad happened. That's how we coped with the stress of the shelling.

Part 3/?The first post – the post of the first squad – was most often hit by the initial shelling. The first incoming round is the scariest because you don’t expect it. You’re standing on the surface, looking out at the field – and then boom! And only after the first hit do you run for cover underground. And the guys from the first post were terrified of dying because the first round always landed right on them. At some point, conversations started about how we didn’t want to die.During one of Lineika's visits, the first squad raised the question of "rotation" – this legendary phenomenon involves sending soldiers to the rear for rest after some time on the front line. I never seriously believed in this rotation. But to my surprise, Lineika agreed. He offered everyone who wanted to leave the apiary and move to the rear, to a safer place. Almost the entire first squad was delighted. Our Tush was also thrilled, and the next day, a good half of our platoon left for the rear, to Village P. The platoon commander, Stopor, also left. We cursed him for this act: essentially, he had abandoned half of his platoon under fire. Only Nefrit and Shar remained from the first squad. Why didn’t we all go to the rear? Why did I refuse to go to the rear? There were several reasons for that:
>>486685841>"If I hadn't gone to defend my home and family, I would have betrayed myself.">Svitlana, with the call sign "Phoenix," is a 4-time MMA world champion.part 2
Part 4/4First, at the apiary, I felt like I was "doing something useful." I had a task: to stand guard and watch the field so that the enemy wouldn't approach unnoticed. There was only a minefield between us and the enemy, so we were fulfilling a "combat mission" (though in reality, we were worthless as fighters). I understood that if we went to the rear, they would find some other task for us.Second, the further to the rear you go, the more army bullshit there is. Officers drive around in the rear. And officers fuck with your head. Don't go there, don't go here. Stand at attention. Address your commander according to regulations. Phones are prohibited. I can't stand this bullshit. But at the front, officers and commanders almost never appear because they're afraid for their lives (and rightly so). At the front, communication between people is much simpler and more human.Third, I didn't want to abandon my squad. Our entire second squad, except for Tuz, decided to stay, and I wanted to stay with them. Thus, we started calling everyone who had gone to the rear "five-hundredths" (five-hundredths are deserters). Only much, much later did we realize how wrong we were.
