HAIFA – The “miracle” in the synagogue in Haifa hit by Hezbollah rockets on Saturday evening wasn’t that the Torah scrolls inside the holy ark were spared.

“The great miracle is that we all weren’t praying there when the rockets fell,” longtime worshiper Gershon Saft told The Times of Israel on Sunday afternoon as he stood next to the ruins of the study hall that is part of Avot Uvanim (Fathers and Sons) synagogue in Haifa’s Carmel neighborhood on the top of Mt. Carmel.

“Two hours before the attack, 20 of us were inside,” Saft said, noting that after the worshipers had finished the Havdalah service that marked the end of the Sabbath, they went home.

Two hours later, 10 rockets were launched from Lebanon in the attack, with the IDF reporting that some were intercepted. The historic 150-year-old stone study hall building was destroyed and the main synagogue was lightly hit. The synagogue’s events hall, which was temporarily housing a private preschool, was damaged, along with dozens of adjacent apartments. Cars were smashed and several people were lightly wounded. But nobody was killed.

“It was a great miracle,” Saft said.

The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier is leaving the Red Sea, according to the US Naval Institute.

A report in the Wall Street Journal: The IDF was surprised by the quantity, scope and quality of Russian weapons seized from Hezbollah strongholds in southern Lebanon.

About 60-70% of all the weapons and means of warfare that the IDF seized in the first days of the fighting in South Lebanon were made in Russia - some of them are old, from the days of the Soviet Union, and some are very modern and were produced in 2020. The IDF does not know for sure whether Russia transferred the weapons directly to Hezbollah, or it was transferred to the Syrian army warehouses and from there "leaked" to Hezbollah.
The weapon with which Hezbollah hit the most IDF soldiers in the war is the Russian "Cornet" anti-tank missile that is found in southern Lebanon in large quantities and with modern models.

Alright /chip, its time for demographics. I'm not up to date with the current Israeli fatalities, but even the ~100-200 IDF deaths I'm assuming in the current invasion are devastating for Israel.

Going by publicly available information, Israel's total pop is 9.8m but only 7.2m of that is Jewish. With the age structure of 0–14 years=28%,15–64 year=60%, 65 and over 12%, that leaves them with brutto manpower pool of 4,3 million if all Jews of both sexes between 15-64 are considered. This is obviously unrealistic in practice. Amount of women serving in IDF is miniscule (few thousand), so that figure would need to be halved to 2.15m. After you deduct the Orthodox Jews, this manpower pool shrinks further to 1,5m (and still includes the full 15-64 men demographic).

When you consider the fact that mere 1,5 million men is the upper limit of Israel, you see how fucked they are. Hezbollah and Hamas are certainly capable of bleeding them dry over time even if you were to ignore various internal difficulties Israel suffers from. And the weaker Israel gets, the likelihood of the Arab countries deciding to try their luck at another shot of Israeli removal increases.
