Somehow they seem not to realize that value isn't performative, you can measure it materially. The first 20-60 hours of a week might pay for themselves, but those last 20? What do they grant you? A guy parks trucks for 30 hours. He never makes a mistake. But at 60 he always bumps into something. Nothing that matters 99% of the time. Lamo to make it all worse if you sit him in the office for 4 hours he never works again for the entire month. He had it good for one day so he's just never gonna work again.
