The person you should be able to trust the most in life is your own father. The one person whom you should be able to trust with virtual certainty to keep a secret and not get your ass in trouble is your own father. Women are emotional and they love to talk, so they'll tell on you, so you can't trust your mother to keep a secret. Your father should also have plenty of life experience and be able to help you through tons of different tough situations in life throughout your adulthood. This is a masculine trait to possess.
