"What's going on? Let's go, I'm telling you!" – what appears to be yet another video of ATACMS missiles striking an ammunition depot in the Bryansk region, along with Russian air defense trying to intercept them, combined with the detonation of munitions. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, most of the missiles were intercepted, but that's hard to believe.

Russian oil industry faces certification crisis as 80% of motor oils in Russia may be “outlawed”: by 2025, Russian oil producers will lose certifications issued by foreign labs, making domestic oils illegal to produce or sell. To address this, a national standardisation system is being developed, but it could take up to three years. Meanwhile, the market faces challenges from uncertified oils and counterfeit products.

>Soldiers from the DPRK raped a Russian teacher in the Kursk region, — rosZMI

>On November 12, the girl arrived in the village of Kromski Byky, 15 km from the war zone, for "linguistic, cultural and household adaptation of the North Korean contingent."

>At night, she woke up from the feeling of suffocation. Four or five soldiers taped her mouth shut, tied her hands, took off her clothes, and started beating and raping her. Now the teacher fears that the criminals may simply be sent back to the DPRK so as not to spoil relations with a friendly country.

In Saratov, a second major pipeline rupture within 24 hours has left 16,500 residents without heat and hot water. On November 19, a significant incident occurred on an underground heating pipeline in the Leninsky district. Earlier on November 11, a heating pipeline collapsed onto parked cars.

The homeless residents of the captured and destroyed Mariupol, after three years, are desperately pleading with dear Vladimir Vladimirovich to intervene in their situation. Ten thousand families cannot afford to buy new homes with the compensation they’ve been offered. What’s being provided won’t even cover half the cost of new buildings, and even then, not in their own neighborhoods but far on the outskirts. “DON’T ABANDON YOUR OWN,” they are calling out.

>It's well-known
Haven't this war shown you that "well-known" crap is often bullshit?

>and well-documented that virtually
I've seen a couple of examples where 29 FPS on Xbox 360 instead of 27 FPS on PS3 was deemed a super impressive difference and proof of how Xbox 360 is better lol.

>any multiplat game played better in Xbox 360 in terms of framerate and stability
Well, I bought PS3 mostly for exclusives or console-only games. For example, Bayonetta was deemed way better on Xbox 360 based on online coverage, but having played it both on PS3 (on my own console) and Xbox 360 (in the office) I can't say there's any significant difference. When you analyze screenshots some effects are different, but not necessarily better or worse. And shit like that. Maybe it's more noticeable on games like CoD and shit, but IMO it's a travesty to play that on consoles per se.

>Cope comment. Just ignore good DLC like Dante's Inferno and Dead Space 3, I guess.
The main point that it's not an issue. PS3 is region free, hence 90% of the games in my collection are from the US, some are from Europe and some are from Japan or Hong-Kong (asia release with English) and I can enjoy all of them without needing to jump through hoops. And even if you encounter region shit (e.g. with digital crap), you can work around it without an issue. For example, for Demon's Souls the co-op multiplayer was region based, so my friend having a EU version (which had a different publisher) wasn't able to play with us who had US copies, but in just 5 minutes we got EU accounts and bought EU digital copies and boom - we're playing.

>I still game on GameCube all the time. The performance is fine
Usually the performance is good in games specifically designed for that console.

After the Russian attack on November 17, the situation with electricity supply in Odesa is one of the most difficult in Ukraine: the city has been in blackout for three days, and the blackout schedules are not in effect.

"During the day, residents received electricity for about 3-5 hours - some at night, some in the afternoon. Another problem is the lack of communication. Problems with mobile communication began immediately after the massive attack. Many Odesa residents said that due to the lack of communication they did not receive any notification of the ballistic missile attack that took place yesterday." - a resident of the city.

The US Embassy in Ukraine reports that it has received "specific information" about a possible major air attack on November 20.

"As a precaution, the embassy will be closed... The embassy recommends that U.S. citizens be prepared to take shelter immediately in the event of an air raid alert." - the statement posted on the embassy's website reads. The embassy did not provide any details about the possible strike.

Following the United States and Spain, the embassies of Italy and Greece in Kyiv are also closing today due to the threat of a massive attack.

Monitoring channels and OSINTers suspect that Russia may be planning to test a new missile at Ukraine.

The Russians are probably preparing to launch their RS-26 "Rubizh" ballistic missile, testing it in combat conditions.

Possible technical data cited by various outlets from open sources:

- Range: 6,000 km
- Deviation from the target: 150 м
- Weight of the warhead: 1.2 tons (about the same as in three Iskander-Ms)
The missile has an explosive, non-nuclear warhead.

It is claimed that the launch can take place from a test site in Astrakhan region.

Yeah, 10% smoother is kind of a big deal.

> When you analyze screenshots some effects are different, but not necessarily better or worse. And shit like that. Maybe it's more noticeable on games like CoD and shit, but IMO it's a travesty to play that on consoles per se.
Agreed for FPS, but keep in mind that CoD3 has never had a PC release. I'm playing it right now on PS3, actually.

I don't mind that you enjoy your PS3. I don't even have a 360 cause I don't care for the few exclusives it has. Meanwhile, I have a shelf full of PS3 games that I still have to work my way through. I just take issue with you calling it the "last good console", or something like that. The Switch is excellent, and the PS4 is really great too, and still has some decent exclusives. But I'm biased in favor of consoles rather than PC.

The Times writes that the United States may have authorized the strikes by British Storm Shadow missiles deep into Russia.

In particular, the publication notes the change in the rhetoric of Prime Minister Keir Starmer. As recently as September 2024, he ruled out granting permission, but recently he has "begun to cast aside caution" about the use of Storm Shadow.

Probably, the wording has changed precisely because of the lifting of restrictions by the United States. The fact is that the missile's navigation system is largely American.

I know, that's why I played Vanquish on PS3 as well. A game not being available on PC at all, or not being able to purchase it due to a shitfest with publishers and steam is also a reason why I played some games on consoles instead of PC. For example, Stranglehold on PS3. Or Watch Dogs 2 on PS4.

>I don't even have a 360 cause I don't care for the few exclusives it has. Meanwhile, I have a shelf full of PS3 games that I still have to work my way through.
Same

>The Switch is excellent
For some exclusives? Sure, although I would like the option to not have to deal with its portable nature. Sure, there's docking and all that, but...

>the PS4 is really great too,
I like my PS4 Pro, but it's hard to say that it's a great console. Not a ton of exclusives in that generation, those which existed got ported over in a year or so to PC, outside some games like Bloodborne or the niche VR stuff (Ace Combat VR missions, Summer Lesson, etc). Multi-platform shit got fucked by devs choosing visual fidelity over performance 10 times out of 10 without a choice sucks donkey dick. Take that Watch Dogs 2 for example again. 30 FPS on PS4 Pro for fuck's sake. If it was an option, I'd choose to disable AA at all but have solid 60 FPS instead (but that's because I was born into what's considered retro gaming now lol), but fuck me I guess.

>But I'm biased in favor of consoles rather than PC.
I like what consoles were before all this:
- physical media;
- optimized games;
- quality games due to lack of patching ability;
- exclusives;
- custom (or customized) hardware, allowing for things which are hard for generic shit to handle;
- any new generation is a giant leap and easily fucks over the PC for many years to come;
- etc, etc, etc;

All of those factors got slowly chipped away one by one.

cont.

All of those factors got slowly chipped away one by one. Now:
- games aren't optimized;
- they aren't released in a quality finished state, often shit on the disk is unusable without day-0 patch;
- hardware is bog standard, the PS4 generation was literally a bunch of cheap shit PC parts lol;
- crap is moving away from physical media;
- moving from PS4 to PS5 doesn't bring much, outside of moving to SSD, like literally they advertise 4K, but a ton of games can't handle 60 FPS on 1080p in reality without upscale shit;
- every other game is a broken remake or remaster;

Modern gaming market is honestly such a disaster.

>"A message about the threat of a "particularly massive" rocket-bomb attack on Ukrainian cities today is being spread through messengers and social networks, allegedly on behalf of the GUR.

>This message is a fake, it contains grammatical errors typical for Russian information and psychological operations.

>We urge you to trust information only from official resources and from spokespersons of GUR.

>Not when it's 2 frames.
Frame loss below 30 FPS is unacceptable and makes a game really janky to play. 2 FPS might not feel like a lot to you, but I find it substantial. In platformers and shmups, it can be the difference between life and death.

>For some exclusives? Sure, although I would like the option to not have to deal with its portable nature. Sure, there's docking and all that, but...
I love that it's portable. I pretty much only play it portable. Work, travel, down-time on vacation.

>30 FPS on PS4 Pro for fuck's sake. If it was an option, I'd choose to disable AA at all but have solid 60 FPS instead (but that's because I was born into what's considered retro gaming now lol), but fuck me I guess.
It's funny how we're different here. I don't care much about the difference between 30 FPS and 60 FPS. It may sound weird, but I care more about the 2 FPS loss under 30 FPS.

There aren't *too* many PS4 exclusives, but there are some remastered games that run much better than the PS3. Gravity Rush, GoWIII, Uncharted Collection.

>I like what consoles were before all this:
I don't fuck with digital games anyway, and I never will. Huge day one patches are a gigantic piss-off, too. I get why you prefer PC over consoles, but I prefer consoles because I don't have to fuck with settings or weird individual PC-specific glitches and annoyances. Couch gaming is so much comfier than fucking around with connections and cords and stuff. But all of this is personal preferences.

Ukraine's parliament removed Yanukovych. The parliament that was elected by the Ukrainian people.

No, the CIA didn't remove Yanukovych.

Then the Ukrainian people elected two pro-Europe presidents (Poroshenko and Zelenskyy). It looks like Ukrainians don't want what you're trying to sell them.

>Frame loss below 30 FPS is unacceptable and makes a game really janky to play.
IMO frame rates of 30 FPS are themselves unacceptable for most games, yet here we are, having 30 FPS games in 2024 on PS5 and shit.

>2 FPS might not feel like a lot to you, but I find it substantial.
IMO it's trying to figure out one sort of crap from another.

>It's funny how we're different here. I don't care much about the difference between 30 FPS and 60 FPS. It may sound weird, but I care more about the 2 FPS loss under 30 FPS.
30 FPS kills me in even in third-person games. I remember how I bough L.A. Noire on PC and started playing and was thinking what the fuck, why does the game feel so strange, as if I'm sick or didn't sleep for 24 hours or something. Seriously, it's like you move on foot, or in car as if you're in gello. Guess what? 30 FPS lock. Had to use ArtMoney to change a setting in RAM and have it work on 60 FPS and boom - suddenly everything's fine.

>There aren't *too* many PS4 exclusives, but
That's the point, compared to PS3 there are almost none of them. PS3 had exclusives out the ass, PS4 barely has any.

>I get why you prefer PC over consoles, but I prefer consoles because I don't have to fuck with settings or weird individual PC-specific glitches and annoyances. Couch gaming is so much comfier than fucking around with connections and cords and stuff. But all of this is personal preferences.
I get your point, for me modern consoles kinda lost their strengths and made PC gaming (which always was important for me just due to the nature of available games, e.g. point-and-click adventures, simulators, immersive sims, RTS, grand strategy, etc) even more of a factor. At least on PC I can actually disable enforced crap like motion blur.

analny has been flip-flopping throughout the years depending on the political climate at the time.
prior to 2014 he always saw ukraine and other former soviets as little russians that need to be returned back to moscow, because he assumed the international community would be supportive of such an undertaking.
but once monkin sent out the little green men and retook crimea and began harassing eastern ukraine americans and europeans became wary, setting up sanctions and being generally distrustful towards russia.
that was the moment the so-called russian """opposition""" realized it was too much dependant on western good graces so they started to shit on monke and his methods instead.

It really only jumps on when you move the camera, and I don't mind some blur then because if the image is too crisp, it can get a bit nauseating.

>That's the point, compared to PS3 there are almost none of them. PS3 had exclusives out the ass, PS4 barely has any.
Fair. Exclusives were and always will be the biggest defining factor of how worthwhile a console is. The lack of exclusives on the PS4 compared to the PS3 doesn't make the PS4 "bad", IMO. Games are still more enjoyable to play on the PS4 because of the more stable hardware.

>At least on PC I can actually disable enforced crap like motion blur.
I'm playing CoD3 right now and it has no motion blur when moving the camera. It made me feel sick to play. Never realized how much I need it sometimes when playing certain games.

Nope, they'd go for "freezing the conflict". As a way to restore trade, to remove sanctions and so on. Most of them have issue with the way things are done (and the expenses it incurs on the country), not what's being done per se. 9 out of 10 russian "liberals" still one the russian empire to expand at least to the areas previously occupied by USSR, possibly more where possible.

I don't know whether I will ever write "2,000 days of the full-scale war" and I hope to God I won't have to. Ukraine wants peace more than anyone in the world. But we want a lasting and safe peace - to raise our children, rebuild out beautiful country and honor our fallen heroes.

The war in Ukraine "will take a little bit longer," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.

In an interview with the Indian ANI news agency, he stated that the war has dragged on as it has turned into a conflict between Russia and NATO.

"When it all started, it started against the Kyiv regime. And now it's continuing as a war between Russia and NATO countries. That's why it took a little bit longer, and it will take a little bit longer," Peskov said.

Russia's ambassador to the UK Andrei Kelin called Medvedev's foreign policy statements his private opinion, essentially saying Medvedev doesn't matter in Russia anymore.

"It is only three persons who are allowed to speak officially for Russia: the president, the minister, and the spokesman of the ministry of foreign affairs," Kelin told BBC journalist Stephen Sackur @stephensackur. According to him, Medvedev says what he thinks, but he does not speak as an official person.

>He wasn't someone who's better than putin
Surely withdrawing Russia's invasion of Ukraine is better than not withdrawing it

I don't know much about Nemtsov but apparently he was a colleague of Vladimir Kara-Murza. Do you think Kara-Murza is alright?

I'm not saying any of these people are perfect but surely any of them would be better than Putin.

>>489021277
Kara-Murza has said he opposes the invasion, so if he was president of Russia (obviously that won't happen, but just hypothetically) surely he would withdraw the invasion completely.

That doesn't sound like the decisiveness involved in using nukes.

a conventional response to a nuclear one is not an escalation. to clarify; i don't mean NATO invasion into RU. deployment into UA up to 1991 borders. and RU would be glassed in a strategic nuclear exchange if they do decide to escalate into that afterwards. they do not want that. only risk of NATO troops in red square, so to speak, realistically incurs such a risk.

>When it all started, it started against the Kyiv regime. And now it's continuing as a war between Russia and NATO countries.
If Russia thinks it's unfair for Ukraine to have allies then I guess Russia needs to stop depending on supplies and troops from Iran, North Korea, China, etc.

Attention, Lithuania!

Russian propagandists:

"Lithuania is a small territory, easy to destroy. Have they ever defeated us at least once? Who do they think they are? Do they want us to pay attention to their existence?"

Lavrov commented on the night strikes, allegedly with ATACMS missiles, in the Bryansk region of Russia.

At the same time, he said that he did not know whether the USA had really permitted Ukraine to use long-range missiles against Russia.

That i strongly doubt, given i.e. Crimea's integral importance to any future Russia defense.
It's why this war has gone on as long as it has in the way it has.

It would not be the first time our establishment misestimated Russian resolve and reasoning.

And i am not the only one who has pointed this out, some German admiral pointed out the exact same thing near the advent of the Ukraine war, and was consequently sacked due to no toeing the line.

Further worsening this situation is the by now infamous tendency of our Western authorities / academia etc. to silence opposing viewpoints rather than engage in anything promoting realism.
Recently this has culminated in Donald Trump's imminent second presidency, but the important part is not that, but rather the independability of expert consensus on such matters.

Trump is just the symptom of the crisis of credibility and reliability.

Normal people: let's have the same rules for every country, e.g. no country should have land taken from it by force

Vatniks: I like to prey on the vulnerable, like small countries, and babies, and old people, and the disabled

We too used niggers for conquest, at some point we literally smashed a hundred thousand niggers into Indonesia just to quell an uprising.
