Likewise, like most ideologies, they cannot define or justify themselves without an enemy, so being against team red naturally became the most important thing to them, beyond the actual issues and beliefs themselves. And that's the way the cycle goes. One side waxes while the other wanes. The side that wanes will be the one to have original opinions, while the side in power will formulate all of their opinions to be the opposite of their rival, no matter what it is.
