You need to calm down. Putin won’t use nukes cause Ukrainians maybe manage to hit some army shovel storage site in Mukhosransk. Ukrainians will only be able to hit such targets, cause everything important is well protected. “Dumb” ballistic missiles that NATO has are way easier targets for modern AD than small drones. Small drones did hit shit, but problem with small drones is that they just lack the punch. So in reality, Ukraine can’t do much to Russia. PR is one thing, reality is another. And this is all conditional on Ukrainians receiving new ballistic and cruise missiles. That is a major hurdle, since no one can really give them much. Crimea is far closer than any of these potential targets, and Russian AD pretty much stopped most of Ukrainian strikes, and they threw a lot of shit on it. You need consistency. Hitting something once means nothing. Stuff can be repaired. Ammo isn’t all stored in one place. Neither is equipment. This move changes nothing. It’s purely a propaganda move and attempt to make Trumps job harder. Russians are winning the war, so why would they care? They don’t want war with NATO. Their nuclear threats are aimed at stopping potential direct involvement. Alternatively, NATO doesn’t want direct conflict with Russia either. Their leaders know they lack the means to do anything, and if that happens all their resources will be tied in confronting Russia. Even if they somehow win, it will be a very hollow victory, that ends them. Proxy war is most they can manage. Thus nothing will happen. It’s just another cycle of hyperbolic screeching.
What’s most probably gonna happen is Russian intensify their strikes on Ukrainian power grid. This will set off another wave of refugees and humanitarian catastrophe. Maybe Houthis acquire new capabilities. Or Iran suddenly develops S-400 equivalent. Who knows.Point is there won’t be a direct response. Because it’s not profitable for either side.
