Why does this keep happening?

Some marketing firm conducts preference surveys of the public....problem is, when you ask 1000 NPCs 50 questions about a logo, in terms of preference, getting offended, does the symbol represents an oppressor, etc.....you wind up with the most generic, bland logo.Lawyers run this country.

The problem is, the logo was shit from the start. This stupid ancient emblem with the ducks was never cool.

>>489034933Everyone is debranding, it's the Current Thing. Expensive experts assure them this is what people want, although nobody really likes it. Much like most of their car designs.

>>489035655>Much like most of their car designs. The car design thing is happening because all of the auto manufacturers are using the same wind modeling software.
>>489035655Devils advocate though, didnt most cars look similar in the past too? Take away the branding on these cars and you probably couldnt tell which car belonged to which marquee
because the future is the past
>>489035947>gets rid of the mu (μ) symbol, the only thing that made sense on their logo gay
>>489035922Maybe, but when 'crossover SUVs' hit it really exploded.
>>489034933the post-trump world is a nightmare
>>489035922ok but those look way better than cars now
I think this is pretty good. It’s a lot better than other logos out there. Cadillac has retained its traditional image and still been able to find some success domestically to a greater degree than basically any other automotive company out there besides maybe Ford.
>>489035655This is what people want. Nobody buys sedans anymore because they have no functional advantage for drivers or passengers over SUVs. Coupes are obviously less functional for obvious reasons. Consumers have higher demand for mid-size and full-size SUVs and trucks, but those are more expensive. So the obvious backbone of the market is precisely this compact SUV designed to meet efficiency regulations and be a daily commuter vehicle.

>>489037480america literally makes the worst quality cars in the world
>>489035922Those are all GM cars. It's only natural that they'd share the same underlying structure. That's how car companies have always done it. They develop a platform and make some minor changes for different brands. It's not the same as every manufacturer making the same blob-shaped crossover.
>>489037285Yeah but each manufacturers variation of the “compact suv” doesn’t need to look the same too
Ajax reversed it

The corporate branding fags insist everything has to be a resizable vector art so they can paste it in their email sig near the meaningless giberish like PMP and MBA which is easier fo achieve with simple crisp lines
