Not only would they not know what's happening while it's happening due to the incompetence of modern bureaucracy, but they don't have anything set up to actually help us anyways. For example, I've lived in 4 major cities in 3 different provinces and a smattering of semi-rural cities including a military base (Shilo) and I've never, ever seen or heard of a shelter in any single one of them I could've went to if bombs started dropping. In fact the one single emergency disaster training drill they ever had us practice while I was in the military had the plan that the army would herd civilians into schools, hospitals, and the basements of old buildings in downtown with provisions being a rusty fold out cot (if you're lucky), a blanket, and 2-3 instant meal packets. If shit goes south in Canada do NOT pay attention to anything the government says. In fact if you want to survive do the opposite, because if you follow the government's instructions you're already dead.
