In the modern age I have to get a degree in economics to know shit because the experts are all retarded or lie or are too afraid to talk. It's so BS. All I can do is have some people that I trust and make sense and trust what they say, and Donald Trump is that guy economically.
>>
Almost every country has tariffs on our exports already.
Fuck off.
>>
>>489044374
Maybe if we didn't have labor unions, OSHA, DEP, could still utilize slave labor, etc we wouldn't need to tariff foreign countries that can operate their manufacturing at an advantage.
>>
>>489044374
Flag makes the post irrelevant.

These people who complain about how the existing shitty economics will be le bad are the people who've been benefiting from toxic and unsustainable crapitalism.

They all deserve wreckage. MAGA starts with tarrifs.
>>
>>489044374
People support trariffs because they want to see the world burn

Americans prefer to sink America just to sink China even harder.

The crab in the bucket syndrome. Chinese had it too good therefore must be "punished" for that

You're just sad American's are finding their spine and will pop the global economic ball. You can buy our ball and play with different rules, but you'll have to pay for your own defense. Nato flaggot

News flash, retard: America doesn't need the rest of the world. We can literally manufacture everything we need in the country. The rest of the world seems pretty fucked without America though. Oh well. It's nice to live so far away from the rest of you retards.

Yeah, you can be stuck in 20th century and be cut off from world's technology.

Without the Netherlands and Taiwan the only thing of worth in America (besides natural resources) that is big tech would collapse immediately

So are tariffs essentially trading lower prices for more jobs and tax income in America?

Economics isnt a science. You know as much as the "experts".
>>
why do these fucking corporatist niggers just shill corporate talking points without any semblance of critical thinking? The only fucking people going to really suffer from this are massive corporations in the short term from the switching costs from reshaping the upper level of their vertical chain. Oh no! I have to buy from an American supplier.

It reminds of smarmy liberal retards going "oh no guys think of the billionaires" when this is exactly all they fucking do but they're too retarded to realize it. Same fucking schmucks sold into unlimited immigration to reduce union power and increase the supply of workers. God forbid the massive agricultural corporations have to use more of the food they produce to stay competitive in the market rather than burning it.

>Economics isnt a science. You know as much as the "experts".
Economics was solved a long fucking time ago in the 1700s. Communists and would be dictators keep trying to pretend to be economists to push their shitty politics to gain political power.

This week, the U.S. introduced a new series of tariff increases on Chinese imports, amounting to over $18 billion worth of goods.

In the announcement, President Biden said they are aiming to “counter China’s unfair trade practices” by targeting specific sectors where the U.S. is boosting domestic production.
>>
why do liberals defend outright slavery? It doesn't suprise me you can see through the veneer of the party flip meme when you realize their entire philosophical argument for abortion is the same line of thinking used to justify slavery in the past.
>>
>>489046964
This logic just supports the United States increasing tariffs lol. We have one of the lowest average tariff rates in the world, so us increasing would generally be reciprocal as well.
>>
>>489044374
But I thought tariffs were 'le heckin based'
>>
>>489044374
Stupid faggot, make Europe drop its tariffs then
>>
>>489044374
They help the home economy by making domestic products cheaper and more accessible. Tariffs are actually good for the economy as they discourage outsourced production and provide more jobs with competitive wages. This kike is such a lying rat.
>>
>>489044374
>idiot spews nonsense
Economics is supposed to be the study of consequences of economic actions, including tariffs. This person is a fucking idiot.
>>
>>489044374
Tariffs are the solution, the "market" does not matter. "Buying" does not matter. We need to make this nation hostile towards buying and reliant on support ourselves. Form communities and reject all transported goods, do not engage in commerce from large corporations, boycott industrial farming. Every American should have a victory garden and provide for themselves most of what they need, this is how this nation was meant to function and our reliance on buying has crippled us.
>>
>>489049076
I don't necessarily think tariffs are a good idea, but this post is 100% correct. The dummy in OP is just showing indoctrination. That said, most people supporting tariffs among the general public are unaware of the full implications of the tariff strategy.
>>
>>489044374

tariffs are in introduction to economics
its not difficult
>>
>>489044374

>>
>>489049624
The full implications is being self reliant and not slaves to cheap labor. We do not need buying power, we only need food and shelter for our families. Without families there is no reason to buy in the first place and buying is not what feeds a family or keeps them warm and sheltered. We have accepted lies for so long that the thought of true freedom is seen as too "costly", when it is the cheapest thing because life springs forth from the earth.

>We need to make this nation hostile towards buying and reliant on support ourselves
this: simple as
if tariffs raise the cost of imported products, just manufacture them locally
who cares they'll be more expensive when more people earn more money?
inflation is only bad when it's uncorrelated to actual wealth creation
anyone not understanding that is a fuck keynesianist niggermonkeying jewish faggot, and those subhumans shouldn't even be allowed to clean toilets

At least with tariffs it's an actual fucking policy. Like it or hate it, support it or not, think it'll work, or worry about potential consequences, there's a debate to be had at least. It's actual, real politics instead of vague shit like "vote for joy, hard work is good work" or whatever the fuck.
>>
>>489044374
the benefit of no/low tariffs for an elastic economy is that you reap the positive effect of paying less (investing less societal labor), all while those who got outcompeted can still find another business opportunity of equal value (no societal labor wasted)
the only exception to this would be a very inelastic economy, such as a medieval agricultural economy for an obvious example. in that case the positive effect of receiving cheaper goods cannot counteract the negative effect of having the domestic economy shut down. but usa is as far from this as a country can get

the problem with trump and other like-minded individuals is that they understand the concept of trade surpluses/deficit at a superficial level as they do not factor in the opportunity loss or gain (which is abstract and hypothetical, therefore hard to quantify)

>uncompetitive US farmer provides $1 worth of labor producing potatoes
>US society invests $1 worth of labor to buy the produce
>competitive chinaman can sell potatoes for $0.75 because of child slavery
>uncompetitive US farmer drops farming, decides to find another slightly less productive job that pays $0.9
>US society now only invests $0.75 worth of labor to buy the same produce

0.9-0.75= +0.15, which is the net societal benefit of allowing this
of course people who misunderstand the balance of trade (boomers) this will think that the US economy is harmed because of the -0.75 cash outflow
this would have only been the case if the american economy was inelastic, thus the ex-farmer ended up wasting years being unemployed or could only find extremely low pay jobs
>>
>>489044374
don't claim you know economics when it's clear you're a fucking retard.
