You also have to realize that there is no real dissent in German media, they all conform to the same narrative.This is how you end up with a populace that lives in a destructive information bubble. Social media is starting to punch holes into the mainstream narratives, but anyone that believes such, from the German media's perspective, preposterous alternative viewpoints is shunned and vilified.I also believe that Trump winning the election is starting to put cracks into the mainstream narrative, as they were 100% certain Trump had no chance against perfect Kamala Harris.
