That it's received wisdom that things attributed to Scipio were done by Alexander except there's the curious fact that everything about Scipio was written BEFORE Alexander and therefore it's just as likely that Alexander has been gifted attributes that better belong to Scipio. I point this out merely to bear in mind when the actual sources about someone historical were written.FWIW, I do believe there was a historical Jesus, who was a rabbi, who did annoy the shit out the Pharisees, who probably kicked the moneylenders out.
