The fact liberals cannot shed their arrogance to even understand, let alone tolerate, different views is fascinating. These people create ever more elaborate fantasies where they are the hero and do not need to address other people. It’s as though they think that if they can create a reason for why someone holds a position that they now do not need to address that position intellectually. So that they see the opposition not as misguided or ignorant or in error, but as someone who violently shat themselves in an elevator. Because if they’re not that, if they’re not inherently evil or ridiculous, the liberal must engage in argument and in that venue they lose.
