I think Elon legitimately thought that the value in twitter was his old Dorsey-era bluecheck feed. Bluecheck accounts had access to a timeline of only other bluecheck accounts and it was all political bloodsports all the time. He literally filter bubbled himself into think that's all twitter was popular for, bought the platform, and has sought to turn it exclusively into that. It's literally impossible to filter the timeline anymore. Even lists are fucking useless. Muted and blocked words and accounts will still find their way into your feeds. It's all political boxing all day everyday and it is such an enormous waste of time.The platform is dying pretty quickly I think. Groupchats are all dead, big accounts are all just grifters posting chatgpt "threads" to cash in their bluecheckbucks. The algorithim hides literally anything sort of funny.
