Just lie on your CV. in Canada they'd never be able to verify anyway since its illegal to ask for employee records from companies since thats considered private. Got my last two jobs by just blatantly lying on my resume and am doing fine with my current one.

This is because the average Indian has 20 years of experience in 2 year old software and has been CEO of several companies (in India)

They already have pajeets filling up all the entry-level roles.

I have 20+ years and they refuse to hire people with my experience cause they say I must in "manager" role and can't understand why I would want to be just part of a team or something a bit lower level.

I've never had a problem.
Put USACO training on resume, find where you want to work, contact them directly don't reply to job ads
>>
>>489076020
Depends.
If you fake then say it was a failed startup where you were one of the founding developers never mention any titles like 'principle' or whatever. Pretend you are a freelancer too actively working
>>
>>489075849
A lot of people just give up after seeing that, but you need to understand that they want to hire people who are passionate about this type of work.

I worked freelance, and just played around in 3D software since I was like 10. I'm almost 30 now, and my first real job as a 3D artist required at least five years of former experience. I put on my resume that I had nearly 10 years of experience even though I was only 20. My work spoke for itself, and I even explained what I meant by experience in the job interview. They completely understood and they said:

>We want enthusiastic artists, not people who just go day by day and learn the skill without passion for their work

They hired me on the spot since I had stuck with it for so long from such a young age. I can't say who I work for due to an NDA, but I worked on a few games as well as an upcoming title that rhymes with Gorderhands 4. If you guess correctly, then it's not my fault haha

But programming is also an artform that requires you to truly love what you do.
>>
>>489075849
>You need 5+ years experience for entry-level.
Dumbshit, are you new to IT? Really? Protip: Ridiculous requirements in the job ads are 99% the process used to justify outsourcing the role. They can state that they have "searched" for a qualified candidate so now we need to use poopjeet and haji.
>>
>>489078877
I find as long as you're capable of doing the job you're in nobody ever looks into anything
>>

>that's what you get when normies think they can just learn to code bro from youtube videos but they're actually retards

Coding is today's ditch digger level of job. It's a low skill role that they can offshore for a few hundred a month.
>>
Should they pay for a recruiter? I don't know how this all works. I wanna be a SOC analyst one day, but this funny-accented man says it's possible.

Programming is a low skill role. It's today's equivalent of a ditch digger. These roles can be offshored to a poopjeet for a few hundred a month.

This has been for years. It was a huge betrayal for US companies to outsource HTML to India while turning America into a service industry culture and steering the youth toward social justice liberal arts degrees. Now the pajeets are intergenerational HTML natives and half their scams involve getting old people to to put info into spoofed banking pages made with HTML.

this is how H1B visas work. Companies post an ad for an entry-level position requiring 5+ years experience. They can't fill it, so they tell the government that they NEED to import somebody from India for that job. And of course the government does it, because how can our economy survive otherwise?

>>489079201
>When a single retarded ditch digger manages to make a plane crash I'll start to believe you.

Hundreds of thousands of coders / dev ops work in india. Most of your counterparts work in india. All for hundreds a month, low skill, low pay. Ditch Digger skillset. Easily replaced.

Its crazy how many of you dont know how the business world works. 99% of entry level positions who do hire entry level workers with no experience will still demand 5 years of experience. Its just something corpos slap on to try and get people above their pay grade. Apply anyway and you'll get it anyway.

Also AI has taken no jobs from the tech sector and until there is a major break through in AI it cant. All AI has done is change your job from writing code to fixing the AI's code.
>>
>>489079173
If it's messy backend work, yes.
But if you want a polished product that is well documented, and optimized, then you need a programmer that loves his job.

I am fairly anonymous, so I don't mind saying this, but when I work with programmers and send them rigs for characters, guns, props, etc. If it is a new rigging style their eyes are always filled with joy, because it is just a new problem for them to solve and implement.
>>
>Be Comp Sci anon

I have more respect for a ditch digger than anyone who codes. I hate computers. The internet is a giant time waster.
>>
>>489075849
AI is already better than entry level.
>>
>>489077601
Lie and say you have less experience, you will likely be offered a lesser salary but that is to be expected when taking a role beneath your level.
>>
>>489075849
Did they not ever learn to lie on their CV?
>>
>>489079537
>All AI has done is change your job from writing code to fixing the AI's code.
are you retarded? It takes 1 guy to fix AI code that a million people use to generate code. also when the generated code is bad you don't "fix the AI code", you just tell the same AI to fix any errors in the code it just generated. you clearly don't know what you're talking about.
>>
>>489080354
thats not how it works at all. AI feasts on shittily written code so it can only write shitty code. The tech sector has not changed at all. 3 hours of coding has become 3 hours of fixing code. AI will not be able to replace anyone until another break through comes along because it fundamentally doesnt understand how to write code it can only regurgitate.
>>
>>489080493
wrong, huge cope
>>
>>489079537
AI can only handle chained together state machines and the version control is a thousand prompts that nobody wants to touch that the AI itself fucks up when asked.
AI is used a personal assistant so when designing a service like an API you can ask it for feature ideas you didn't
immediately anticipate or something similar during architect planning
otherwise I haven't heard of anyone using it for anything besides bullshit hobby projects.

I'm willing to take the bullet and receive a free jaguar to drive around as advertising despite the damage it may cause to my reputation, but outside of that, good luck jagsisters.

People quit drinking Bud and stopped using Gillette over politics. Those brands can always sponge new users and weather boycotts but jaguar depends on income from what is ultimately a very rare, uncommon purchase. Ome generation of jaguars getting even slightly snubbed in sales will harm them grievously and iirc they have been laying in wait and betting everything on the success of a comeback lineup. Well, good luck!

Skilled coders who can demonstrate their competence are doing just fine, the people with this problem are pandemic tubecode midwits who memorize without understanding. You can easily get hired with minimal "experience", you just have to be able to show that you don't need more "experience" to be a worthwhile hire. OP can't.
>>
>>489088949
>Skilled coders
therein lies the problem. most people who enter the field don't have critical thinking skills so outside of data entry and copy pasting shit from stack overflow or chatgpt they are clueless.
someone who can solve a problem is infinitely more valuable than a person who can copy a solution.
>>
>>489089410
I don’t get the stack overflow hate as a nondeveloper. I code in an unrelated role and use google for just about everything to accomplish what I need. The only part that matters in the real world is if you know what to do with what you copy. It’s like telling kids not to use calculators in math class.

you are not solving problems, instead you copy the homework of someone else, and you don't understand it, otherwise you would solve it yourself.
This also means you will copy shit code into production, because you have no clue wtf you are doing.

Canada doesn't have H1Bs.
Decades before DEI all NATO governments were claiming anorexic, fraudsters were magic beans needed for the survival of tech companies.

Poojeet tech workers are hired as part of a broad replacement agenda. America gives at 200k "Diversity visas" per year
