I wouldn't quit unless you have a new job lined up, or some other contingency plan that you're sure will be stable. I've been unemployed for over a year. The job market is absolutely brutal. If you have a job, cling to it. It's all soul-crushing dude, but if the alternative is homelessness, then you take soul-crushing. Yeah, it sucks.
>>
>>489085677
True but I always find myself acquiring a better job when I get the balls to quit first.
When working I procrastinate like a motherfucker on building a resume applying etc etc
>>
hahaha you leafs and your my country is burning and there's not enough to eat threads always make me chuckle. Lets face it you will never own a real house.

I have 45k saved up. Have zero debts.
I just want to chill for 3 or 4 months.
Demoralized as fuck making 70k a year with a 2500 rent + living expense fuuuu
>>
>>489085540
don’t fucking quit. every time we put out a posting hundreds of jeets and like 5% white canadians apply. “people” are desperate. do not leave without something else lined up!
>>
>>489086026
Ever considered moving to a more based place? Also if you are White or Native, get your PAL if you haven’t already and kit up.

I remember like a year back there was this old church for sale in Qu’Appelle Saskatchewan for like 45,000.

It was pretty big, probably 4000 or so square feet. I tried to convince my wife that we should sell our house here and move up there but she is a southerner and has an aversion to cold weather.

Made me sad because I miss my prairie homeland.

I quit my job 1.5 years ago and been living and chilling from my saving, not just it is lovely, but I had few grey hair from the job and I noticed all of them colored back that I didn't believe it first. Now looking for a job but something that pays well and I discuss the term of work in the interviews so I'm not stressed enough.

So have you found a way to filter out the Jeet applicants?

It probably wouldn’t help to list off certain tickets or certifications as we all know they would just lie on those.

My little sister who works retail said her employer recently hired like ten Jeets. I didn’t get the chance to ask her if the hiring manager is Indian. This is in a town of a few thousand people where the nearest college or university campus is like an hour and a half away.

>>489086026
Do it, I was literally in you position but cheaper rent, I was fucking burnt.
cancel your car insurance btw and cook your food, those saved a lot of money for me
>>
>>489085540
If you're white you wont be able to. New legislation basically prevents tax paying whites from being jobless.
>>
>>489086857
I have the exact same story but I've been out of work for 4.5 years. I'm just now looking for a job again.

If he's after jobs that filled/will be filled with jeets, he's already fucked.
>>
>>489087049
I started a company and been doing some contract work too, I will see if I found a good paying job with a chill working environment, I will go full time, or I will focus on my personal work
>>
>>489085540
Come work for me, it's basically a sweatshop and the pay is shit, but I'm based and I don't hire minorities.

CSIS thread. Canada iis fucked. Average price of a home in Bulgaria is 32k Euro. Emigrate and don't waste your life in LGBT North Korea.

Tell me what it's like. Sounds mostly comfy if you're a shyster.
>>
>>489086026
thing is, those 3 or 4 months could very easily turn into 6 months. and then a year. or even more. the job market is extremely competitive; unless you have some in demand niche skill, you will not be able to just get hired when you decide your break is over. it takes on average thousands of applications to get a job, you're probably looking at at least 6 months of job searching, and that's being generous. plan accordingly.
>>
>>489085540
I need a woman like that.

>Sounds mostly comfy if you're a shyster.
sales are not great if you're shy/autistic, you have to be pretty outgoing to push sales. look into inbound customer service instead, it's pretty chill for autists. but VERY competitive right now. too many jeets saturating the market.

This is why roasties monkeybranch from relationship to relationship by the way. They view the relationship as their job and the man as their employer.

From an evpsych POV, this makes perfect sense too

What do you sell?
Also wfh sales but i love it.

Its garbage. Telecom sales. Jeets calling in all day looking for a “gOoD dEaL” it burns my blood and makes me want to smash my head against my window and fall off the 25th floor
>>489087226
I will be actively applying during the time off of course
>>489088737

Sounds based how do you earn

Sure. Just don't be surprised when 9 months have gone by and you still haven't found anything. I'm not trying to be a doomer, just realistic. Go look around social media and you'll see the same thing everywhere, people unemployed for months or more than a year. There are no jobs. Whatever your expectations are, lower them. Things have changed a lot in the last few years, if you haven't looked for a job since the pandemic you have no idea what you're getting into.
Good luck brother, do what you need to do. But when you're still job searching a year from now, don't say we didn't try to warn you.
>>
>>489090765
oh and obviously this depends on your skillet and experience, the more skills you have the less difficult it will be. but, and no offense (I'm in an even worse position), if you're coming from a sales background it's going to be tough. the service and sales economy is very over saturated.
>>
>>489085902
Oh I see, if you are good at sales then maybe you can just quit and find another job if you have the numbers to back up that you are a strong candidate.

I kind of forgot that Canada is a shithole where the only job that pays good money is sales
>>
>>489091050
Also maybe work from home in another country. Fuck this hellhole
