That's the crisis.The dirty secret is that often times trying to do the "right thing" and seeing a "mental health provider" often only makes the problems worse. The drugs they give have laughable effectiveness compared to placebo. The studies are probably fraudulent half of the time. Psych ward employees, therapists, and ER people also give exactly zero fucks about HIPAA - HIPAA is more used by hospitals to construct parallel cases for employees they're gonna shitcan anyways, because they know nobody really gives a fuck about it. The truth is is that most of the mental health crisis could be solved by destroying the "mental health care system". It's not there to help you, it's there to give the insane amount of psych majors America has shat out something to do. No other country shits out people with psychology degrees like we do.Has a therapist helped you find a job? Have they ever given you money if you're late on your rent? Will they see you if you don't have insurance and can't afford $300 an hour? It literally is not about helping people.
