Another forgotten trend from the first Trump term - Trump's people giving fake 'insider' information to publications like 'The Conservative Treehouse.'If you look through their archives from 2017/2018, you can see all sorts of confident predictions about how Democrats would 'soon' face prosecutions for the Awan scandal, the FISA scandal, etc. That's because Trump's people were making those claims behind the scenes, even though nothing was actually happening, and no 'top Democrats' were actually arrested or prosecuted.They were flat-out lying to 'conservative media' in order to promote false hope. Everyone seems to forget this, but it explains a lot.
