>>517344729>>517326281Bit of anecdotal story and more of an intellectual take + random rant. This would have taken place somewhere before or after 2014 but not by too much:I was discussing this with an online friend who emmigrated from the USSR at a very young age (under 12 or so, he got out just as the USSR fell) but there was some Russian video (may have been from Zvezda) where a Russian general takes a shit on miniguns and rotary barrel weapons, especially in helicopter applications. We both thought it was a retarded take given the niche application of miniguns (lots of bullets placed down in a direction) because the general gave a whole rant about how with a dozen marksmen armed with SVDs, he could achieve the same effect and "waste less ammo."It hit us both at that point as to how immensely retarded the Soviet mentality was. The entire point of door mounted miniguns isn't to take out targets necessarily but to provide immense suppressive effects to allow for helicopters to approach and clear LZs. The tradeoff of ammo is effectively jack shit cost wise compared to the occupants and the vehicle. Meanwhile the fat fuck they had on that program basically gave a huge anti-minigun rant and could not understand the concept of firepower flux. Of course, the same guy said some shit about how Americans were risk adverse pussies who needed their toys and whatnot because of course a single life is somehow cheaper than a few hundred rounds of ammo. Like a single human being in a factory can't fucking produce thousands upon thousands of rounds every day or something.>>517345886>Nightmare fuelI think they were partially enabled by the "AI hype" and also the fuckery that happened under the coof. A lot of academic fuckery became unchallenged under the coof, like how professors outright went to pure online learning and just aired videos of their lectures while refusing to take (emailed/messaged) questions.

>>517345403>Death of creativityI think the creativity is there still, just the per capita rates are atrocious. Younger minds have better access to widely accessible CAD software and the ones driven enough will learn FEA from videos online rather than being gated through private classes or subsidized academic options (what I went through personally). I believe it to be true in more media orientated (video editing for example) tools but the overall shift is that the percentage rates of creatives has gone down for the pseudo-intellectual equivalent of a "creative." There are still woodworkers, engineers and so on, just a wider component of society has become more infantalized consumers. In a way it hurts a bit as an semi-early 3D printer owner in seeing how "slop-ian" (hate the word) the hobby has become but I can recognize that a lot of creatives are enabled in how they can make things that they would not have been able to do so without the higher skillset. Just there's a lot more "slop" objects printed out without any particular purpose or utility.

>>517346421>Peak USSRWhat I understand is that some people have really, really narrow minded nostalgic memories even if they could be the very same people who whined about how shit that part of their life was to you for a decade straight. Something about "the carefree days of being a child with your siblings, trying to find entertainment when there was jack shit (compared to whatever was available in the West at the time) by doing shit like poking little animals in the wild" seems to act like a cognitive blinder and cognitive dissonance jammer to their minds over how absolutely shit the rest of it was.Had to wait in long ass lines holding a ration ticket to buy meat and often couldn't buy it (apparently a common point between the USSR and Maoist China)? All forgiven over those little childhood memories."Food tasted better and was less tainted back then."Sure, sure it was but when you're fucking a skinny hungry thirdie in effect, everything tasted better. Even eating a fucking shit sandwich tastes amazing when you're starving. That alone is enough for some of those older types to justify mentally checking out when it comes to realizing how bad things were in the past.My friend who emmigrated from the USSR as a young child had their parent go full nostalgia somewhere in the 2010s because of that. I get to watch my mainlander family do the same, starting with them retiring and rotting their brains out watching Chinese state media on Youtube in effect. Just for clarity I am speakikng about the immigrant types to Western nations who get retarded nostalgiabrain for the past for some fucking weird reason while being the same types who cried about how shit it was a decade or two before early onset dementia hit them. Their parents tend to be far more realistic about how shitty things were and the ones younger than them don't have the funny nostalgia to recall because they often have a childhood in the 90s+ where they had bootleg consoles for toys and whatnot.
>>517347252>I cite literal examples of barbarism done to people and they still don't believe that kind of cruelty could happen. This is what happened in 2014 here. We simply couldn't believe it's real. Or 2008 in Georgia. Or before in Moldova, Ichkeria, also Georgia, also Ichkeria... Many, many other cases. I doubt many "couldn't believe" that it's really happening before the '90s but this disbelief and waiting for someone else to fix it because the very notion is absurd is doubtlessly not a new phenomenon.

I would have assumed the demographic that was less than a decade younger than me would have been made to do research. Somehow it never crossed their mind to do something like writing in "how to fix unbalanced washing machine error" or "why clothes turn pink in washer." Surely at some point they were made to write the same essays in English/history/etc classes and had to search for things.>Worse comes to worst, new ones can be madeThankfully communities still form outside of walled gardens but it seems forum hosting is harder these days than in the 00s. >>517347802>Something about "the carefree days of being a child with your siblings, trying to find entertainment when there was jack shiYeah, that's what the joke about "I like USSR because my back didn't hurt and my dick still worked (or, for women, because men still wanted her)" means. This selection bias literally explains it all as fully as you need it. This joke was somewhat widespread here for a time, not sure about now.>Had to wait in long ass lines holding a ration ticket to buy meat and often couldn't buy it (apparently a common point between the USSR and Maoist China)? All forgiven over those little childhood memories.Oh, man, that's a funny one. You don't just wait and maybe can't buy it. You NORMALLY can't buy it because the shop doesn't have it in stock, technically. You can still "procure" meat if you know the right people or ARE one of the right people. A butcher's daughter featured in jokes as well. Fuck, there were so many things wrong with commiestan related to food it's not even funny.>Just for clarity I am speakikng about the immigrant types to Western nations who get retarded nostalgiabrain for the past for some fucking weird reasonIt's understandable. Someone grows up, makes children and only then moves to another country. Frankly this should be prohibited because they will inevitably start aching for the place of their youth and likely land of their forefathers.>Their parents tend to be far more realistic about how shitty things wereI expect only because they actually lived through the worst and weren't shielded from it by their parents like is the case with their children you describe above. Had their youth and adulthood were similarly shielded from the worst - or if it wasn't actually that bad - they'd be nostalgic too. Humans aren't meant to uproot as adults.

>>517347802>What I understand is that some people have really, really narrow minded nostalgic memories even if they could be the very same people who whined about how shit that part of their life was to you for a decade straight.Pretty much. Take into account that people's memories are generally not that reliable overall, most people don't realize just how shitty the average fuck is with his memory. Now add decades of life for the old shit to get whitewashed. Everything bad is slowly forgotten, everything good is kept and amplified. That happens naturally. Then add the alcohol into the mix. Yes, I know it's a meme, but people did historically drink way too much in USSR. And that doesn't make memory better. Now add the fact how information was controlled in USSR. People literally lived all their lives and if they weren't especially curious, they wouldn't know jack shit about what really happens around them. For example with crime, USSR was notorious for crime, but it wasn't really covered by the media, so most boomers remember "it was safe, kids could spend all day outside and nobody worried" crap, while guys like Chikatilo raped and killed kids by the dozen. Technological catastrophes? Planes falling out of the sky? Nah, never happened. People getting gunned down in the streets because they more affordable food? Nah, never happened *cough* https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Novocherkassk_massacre *cough*Outside of that a big element was just people being young and getting a tiny bit uplifted from shit. USSR was very fucked up in socio-economic development even at best times (the first factory making toilet paper opened in 1969 and had to be purchased from UK), so there would be millions who got thrown a bone for their backbreaking work and people felt happy because they didn't knew better.>"Food tasted better and was less tainted back then."Even during late USSR there were jokes that there are shortages of toilet paper, because most of it gets added to sausages.

He basically removed one of the six guns along with the chamber and breech system and used it as a single-barrel weapon. While the solution was viable, GRAU interfered yet again with the development – the gun was fired electrically, but the chief of GRAU technical department, A.A.Grigoriev, insisted on mechanical firing mechanism.>The argument for this was that the gun „must be possible to be fired even if there is one last man alive in the vehicle with nothing left but his bare hands“.

https://x.com/Gerashchenko_en/status/1971606390792736898Russia is helping prepare China to attack Taiwan - the Washington Post◾ According to information obtained, Russia has reportedly agreed to equip and train a Chinese airborne battalion and share its expertise in airdropping armored vehicles that analysts say could boost Beijing's capacity to seize Taiwan◾ The agreements allegedly allow Beijing to access training and technology in one of the few areas where Russian capabilities still surpass those of the Chinese military: more experienced airborne troops◾ Moscow has become increasingly dependent on China for dual-use items to prop up its sanctions-hit military industry and sustain its war in Ukraine. However, at the same time, Beijing is using Russia's experience to accelerate its army modernization program and bring its capabilities to the level of the US armed forces◾ The documents, details of which have been verified by the RUSI, a British think tank, appear to demonstrate the deepening alliance between Moscow and Beijing, moving beyond symbolic joint drills and public statements to develop interoperable systems and shared combat experience in areas that China considers critical for winning a battle over Taiwan◾ According to the documents, in October 2024, Russia agreed to sell China 37 BMD-4M light amphibious vehicles, 11 Sprut-SDM1 self-propelled anti-tank guns, 11 BTR-MDM armored personnel carriers, and parachute systems designed to airdrop heavy loads. The total value of the contract was $584 million◾ Separate documents outlined training programs for Chinese paratroopers in the combat use of the weaponry and the advanced command and control systems used to direct operations by Russian specialists in Russia and later in China. RUSI said it would give China's air force "expanded air maneuver capability" that offered "offensive options against Taiwan, the Philippines, and other island states in the regions">part 1

In 2024, they held 14 joint exercises, nearly double the number a decade earlier.◾ Analysts emphasize that for China, Russia's airdrop expertise is most valuable, which is important in the event of an invasion of Taiwan. Chinese planners consider deploying well-equipped units to Taiwan in the early hours of a conflict.◾ According to the experts, the Chinese military "have studied D-Day backward, forward and upside down [and] realized that it would have failed without an airborne component." That makes the Russian experience in Ukraine and Syria even more valuable for Beijing.◾ If the invasion takes place, Moscow's supply of natural resources and its defense industry could become "strategic backup for China." At the same time, for Taiwan, Russian support for China's airborne capabilities intensifies concerns that Beijing could seize infrastructure inland even as it storms ports and beaches along the coast.https://washingtonpost.com/world/2025/09/26/russia-china-weapons-sales-air-assault/>part 2

Like time and time again, it could be a Morozov/Kharkiv plant concept or it could be from any other part of the Soviet Union including inside Soviet Russia but if a better, more survivable, etc design came out? Some shittier design bureau would go and lobby with immense force for Moscow to shitcan the next generation whatever attempt of replacing their current system and to instead re-evaluate everything which ended up with the typically shittier system being adopted instead because of the "muh its more disposable, even a retarded proletariat conscript would maintain it by smashing it with the butt of his rifle." Moscow instantly picks the more retarded system.Obligatory BMP-1 story:>The 2A28 Grom is a 73mm smoothbore low-pressure gun, its primary purpose firing HEAT shells at enemy armored targets (HE-Frag shells were only introduced later on in mid-70’s). It was not selected as the best weapon for the future Soviet IFV, it was chosen simply because no other gun was available. This unfortunate situation was partially caused by the overseer of the BMP-1 development, GRAU (Main Missile and Artillery Directorate), as opposed to the „usual“ armor development overseer, GBTU (Main Armor Directorate). From the names of these Soviet institutions, their line of thought is not that hard to fathom. GRAU was heavily influenced by Khruschev government’s incompetence and placed their bet on a losing horse: early missiles. When this line of thought turned out to be wrong, they naturally did not want to be the ones to be held responsible and continued to refuse any blame.1/2

Because you obviously must not wipe your arse with a piece of paper that contains a photo of the great leader. Or at least you must not be caught doing so.
>>517349840>GRAU in turn had no lighter, automatic cannon available and did not oversee any institute or bureau that would be capable of designing one, as most were disbanded in the early 60’s. Automatic guns were only developed by the Soviet air force and the navy, but those fell under different government officials, not affiliated with GRAU. What made the matter even worse was the fact that certain GRAU generals „fell in love“ with the 2A28 caliber, promoting it as „the most powerful gun ever mounted on an IFV“. When actual officers in charge of these vehicles complained about the gun’s poor performance and accuracy, they were accused of poor maintenance and insufficient training with all the complaints being silently swept under the rug. But the rumors slowly made their way up the Soviet ranks and in the end, GBTU forced the issue by organizing official shooting trials at Kubinka proving grounds. A BMP-1 was to fire against an obsolete T-55 tank at 800 meters (the target was not moving). And the result of the trials? Of 50 shots, only 17 did hit the tank - others were carried off their trajectory by the wind. The shells that did hit made their impacts under different angles – some ricocheted, some did not, but in the end, not a single shell managed to penetrate the vehicle. After the trials, a driver just drove off with the undamaged tank – a fitting testament to the inefficiency of the Grom gun.>This particular trial finally caused a scandal in Soviet ranks and the ministry of defense immediately ordered the vehicle to be modified in order to increase its firepower. As a part of this initiative, it was to be fitted with a dual-axis stabilizer and with the newest generation of anti-tank missiles. What followed however was to be the proof of the fact that strange IFV development process filled with blunders was by no means exclusive to the Americans.

>>517349840>At first, ChKZ tried to use the fact favor of GRAU and decided to improve the Grom gun. The result was an experimental vehicle designated Object 768 with a one-man turret and an improved 73mm gun, designation „Zarnitsa“. This weapon used the same ammunition as the Grom, but its barrel was longer, resulting in improved accuracy and range. To silence the cries of Soviet soldiers for a better infantry support weapon, they paired the gun with one 12,7mm NSVT machinegun. Since both guns did not fit the original turret and additional space for the stabilizer mechanism was required as well, ChKZ reworked the turret and increased its size. This turned out to be a problem as well, since the increased weight of the weapons and turret caused the vehicle to lose its amphibious capability. This in turn was „solved“ by making the hull longer and adding the seventh roadwheel while the turret was shifted to the back. This „modification“ did not bother the ChKZ designers at all – after all, they wouldn’t have to actually produce the hull, as it was to be manufactured by their competitor, KMZ.I lied it wasn't 1/2 but welcome to 2/3>>517350119The American meme on that is that Stalin ordered it to be a 1:1 copy to the point the engineers who basically knew Beria would be on their asses for deviating from that 1:1 copied the bullet holes in the B-29s. >>517349840>In the end, the weight was increased to 13.5 tons and despite the fact the hull was now 83 centimeters longer, only six infantrymen could fit inside this vehicle. This issue in turn caused notable lack of enthusiasm in GBTU (to put it mildly) but despite the objections the Object 768 was finished and ready for trials by the end of 1972. In the end however, the project was significantly delayed by the „competition“ – the KMZ representatives in the OKB were adamant: the vehicle has to be based on the current, existing BMP hull, as the „modifications“ ChKZ proposed would require a complete overhaul of the entire assembly line. And so the „cooperation“ was de-facto over before it even began. The KMZ designers then decided to comply with the army requests and proposed a vehicle equipped with an effective automatic gun, capable of infantry support role (at this point, the 73mm guns were still firing HEAT shells only, HE-Frag would come only two years later) and of fighting enemy soft targets, slower aircraft and – most notably – helicopters, that were becoming very popular with NATO at that point.3/3Whenever I go over Soviet hardware development stories they're an insane hot mess, kind of like >Soviet Nuclear Anything.>>517351171>Coastal citiesNo tourism in their city, China was ultra closed off. One of the ways the Bofors gun was "Americanized" from the original Swedish design was to adopt standardized production tolerances. The Bofors guns made by the Swedes at the time would have some critical dimensions hand fitted (metaphorically "hand filed") in effect since they were not producing that many of them. Meanwhile the US needed to deal with production scaling due to wanting to fit them onto a much larger naval fleet (as replacements to other guns that were less effective at the time), so the engineering work was done to figure out what the tolerance stackups were and then the "Americanized" version of the Bofors was made from that design package (among all the other changes).**Casual reference for the generalities of the history behind that: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bofors_40_mm_L/60_gun#ManufacturingSo if the Soviets thought that kind of shitmelka ("lifehack" in millennialanese...) was a great way to deal with production in regards to societal views? ...Yeah. >>517352532>The 2A42 autocannon in the BMP-2>As a result of this demand the breech had to be redesigned. While at it, GRAU demanded yet another modification of the gun – it had to have variable rate of fire (specifically for the soldiers to be able to fire only at half RPM – 300 instead of 600) „in order to conserve the ammunition“ This request completely ignored the fact that the gun rate of fire was limited by 8 round bursts anyway and the real reason for it was not as much ammo conservation as it was an attempt to bury – or at least delay – the development. Even without the GRAU interference the development was problematic as it was with the mechanical firing mechanism quite unreliable and the gun overheating. GRAU officers frequently joked: „What’s the rate of fire of that gun? 600 rounds per minute, but only once a month“>Another issue with the gun was its low accuracy. The gun, installed in the BMP turret, was simply incapable of hitting anything. It took three design bureaus and several GBTU experts to finally figure out in the end that the gun was completely fine, the real problem was in the stabilization of the entire turret: the stabilizing mechanism was incorrectly calibrated and the gun oscillation – instead of being negated by the stabilizer – actually added to it, causing abysmal loss of accuracy when using the stabilizer. This problem was finally fixed by certain modifications to the stabilizer itself (non-linear stabilizing).1/2Also I feel personally annoyed that (at least from public info) you guys haven't been getting more Bradleys (AFAIK should be that 150M sustainment contract for the existing fleet) and M113s. >>517353221China is a screwball in that I'd say the 2000-2010s was more like quasi-ancap meets state-backed merchanitlism under the rule of the communist party. Under Xi he's trying to make it more commie again. A lot of people mistake China as being "not really communist" (Unironic n-year plans still issued etc being my counterpoint to leftoids in the US who ask for proof)To explain: Effectively if you're the equivalent of a midsized business and you're a shareholder type entity you are owned institutionally by a bunch of state entities (universities, pension funds, cities, etc) directly and indirectly (see former but via trading firms). Furthermore a lot of the "private investors" tend to be party officials or adjacent to them (ex: family friends of notable position party member's offspring). So I'll say that to a degree China is much more liberalized and capitalistic than say pre-Gorbachev USSR. Functionally speaking even under Xi they can be considered capitalist-ic to some degree but the moment you move towards bigger entities they're all basically stealth state owned or at least the state has some form of ultimate control over them. So spiritually they're commies and functionally they can turn into oldschool commies fast. They just don't pass Pol Pot's purity tests in regards to the hardline commies.
>>517352532>The final – and most annoying – issue with the gun came from an unexpected source: the ammunition. Simply put, it was creating too much gunpowder residue and the gasses quickly filled the crew compartment. When the vehicle was trialed in front of a GRAU committee, the KZM testers switched the compartment ventilators off in order to try to prevent vehicle power grid fluctuations that could interfere with turret controls. As a result, the soldiers present had to drag them out of the vehicle half-suffocated to death from the fumes and had to take them to a local hospital, much to the cynical amusement of the GRAU officials overseeing the tests. The gun designers proposed to use a mechanism that would use secondary burn of the gunpowder fumes after each shot. The only result of this initiative was that after the mechanism was implemented, backfire blasts were coming from the breech after every shot, covering half of the combat compartment in flames – the testing crews were not amused a single bit.>In the end, the situation was so bad that the developers actually considered mounting the gun externally, creating a vehicle called Object 680, which had a very flat turret with the gun mounted on the rear part of the turret roof. The ammunition feed was located inside the turret. This solution had to be scrapped as well, as the turret could not be protected from WMD’s due to the leaky ammunition feed shaft and it was also not possible to run a powerful ventilator, required to keep the fumes from firing the gun from suffocating the crew, as it interfered with the compartment overpressure and the vehicle was no longer gas-protected. In the end, a rather complicated solution was invented, involving the ventilator running only when the gun was firing, but this caused more delays and the development ran well into 1975.2/2
>>517352532>After years of pointless bickering, Grechko’s patience ran out and he ordered full set of comparative trials to finally find the answer to the future of the BMP program armament. These tests took place by the end of 1978 at Alabino proving grounds near Moscow and everyone important to the program was there. The vehicle crews were provided by the 2nd Guards Motor Rifle Division „Tamanskaya“. Participating were the KMZ prototypes with both 30mm and 73mm armament.>The tests showed once for all that the 30mm gun was more suitable than the 73mm one when it came to accuracy and GRAU was practically defeated, but they had one last trump card to play: the penetration tests. GRAU managed to convince the commander of the army, general Pavlovsky, to perform shooting tests against real targets, hoping that the 73mm Zarnitsa would prove its worth by penetrating enemy armor. With all the other positions and arguments lost, it was all or nothing for GRAU.>The tests took place against two worn-out T-72 tanks and once and for all have shown the dominance of the 30mm gun. While neither of the guns was able to knock out any of the tanks completely (something the Zarnitsa supporters claimed to be possible), the 30mm gun caused significant external damage by destroying optics, external fuel tanks and one small 30mm shell even jammed one of the turrets. With these results, GRAU was forced to concede defeat. 30mm Object 675 would finally be accepted in service later on as the BMP-2. As a last act of defiance however, GRAU representatives decided that the BMP-2 production would not exceed 10 percent of the total BMP-1 production.I have another much longer thing over the T-64 vs T-72 and how the T-64 ended up actually maturing as a platform to become lower cost (less strategic material usage) while being higher capability, source material is from a Russophone Ukrainian digging through the archives. Of course the T-72 got lobbied across the finish line by UVZ.

>>517353495To further clarify: A lot of those mid but especially large sized shareholder owned businesses aren't 100% owned by the party. They tend to own a controlling majority for the combined shares of state and party associated interests. Whenever shit goes down they more or less can strongarm the company simply by having all the component shareholders demand shit while making the minority shareholders shoulder all of the risk. So if they want DJI to do something sanctionworthy then so be it, no way to complain and no need to use the commissar-y types embedded into the company (as mandated by Xi) to do more strongarm shit.>>517353868The gas action isn't related to the Stg44, the formfactor arguably is. >>517353495>Furthermore a lot of the "private investors" tend to be party officials or adjacent to them (ex: family friends of notable position party member's offspring). And this is how Moscowy worked starting from Yeltsin. In general lots of refinement that the knuckle dragging neanderthals over at Uralvagonzavod would never implement. I see these stairs on modernized T-64s and AFAIK some of the T-84 Oplots would have had them too depending on how modernized they were. >>517354156Putin was incredibly brazen about the consolidations in downright putting them into state owned corporations or "dude, lmao gazprom owns all of this" tier entities. >>517353868>the internals are almost the same as AK-74they aren't even close. AKs are rotating bolt. Stg is tilting bolt (like a SKS).AK is a reworked Garand action. The safety is from a Remington Model 8 as well. The stuff you name (stock, grip, mag, sights, etc) were all done elsewhere before the Stg came along and everybody was kicking around similar designs at the time. But the main thing that the AK is missing is the stamping. They, as first developed, were manufactured completely differently. The whole point of the Stg was to be able to crank them out quickly with fewer materials and labor than a battle rifle for the infantry. The AK-47, on the other hand, was developed as a successor to submachine guns for rear troops, artillerymen, tankers, and the like. The SKS was the post war rifle for the infantry. Soviet doctrine hadn't caught up to the role the Stg was built for. That came later in the 1960s and they reworked the AK-47 to fill it with the AKM.

>>517354953My understanding is that early on in the war Malyshev (Kharkiv) plant got hit a few times by ballistic missiles. I don't the production status but that was the only place that was welding up new build hulls for any Soviet/post Soviet lineage tank. Russian T-90s are built using refurbed T-72 hulls with new build welded turrets so they're not new hulls. That and the steel came out of Azovstal as well AFAIK.AFAIK you guys still have a few but attrition rates means I think they're technically rarer than Leopard 2s and Abrams in terms of parts to repair them with.Did you also know the BKP transmission found in the T-64 is also used in every Soviet tank afterwards from the T-72, T-80 and into the post soviet T-84 (which has a reverser system in the final drive to give it fast reverse) and also the T-90 (it is just a T-72 after all)? The T-84-120 variant ran into some limitations as to how much the Kharkiv Morozov design bureau could do given the power limitations on the BKP and the overall suspension design of the T-84 (which descends from the T-80UD) so there's a lot of stuff they wish they could do in terms of making a production T-84-120 design but the weight budget is the limiting factor to how much more can be done to it design wise. Also the T-90M knocked off the external ammo storage bustle for the rounds outside of the autoloader from the T-84 as well. Not sure how much you're into your own national hardware but I have admiration for Ukrainian engineers given what kind of budgets they have to work with and the overall Soviet legacy haunting specter for the defense industry pre-war.

>>>517356976 (cont'd) Ukraine’s Defense & Military Developments (2/2)>>> Zelensky said Ukraine has freed roughly 168.8 km2 and cleared 182 km2 in recent months, with 85 high-value Russian facilities struck; he added Ukraine will begin exporting domestically made drones this year after receiving an offer from an African partner, underscoring a maturing defense-industrial base.>>> Security Service (SBU) officers detained an alleged FSB asset embedded in a Ukrainian energy company; investigators say the suspect attempted to pass grid-stability data useful for targeting.>>> A new volunteer contract for drone operators offers two years of service with compensation up to 3 million UAH, aiming to attract experienced pilots and scale front-line strike and reconnaissance capacity.>>> Zelensky said Donald Trump “wants Ukraine to win” but stressed that “Putin lied to Trump”; Kyiv privately raised the Tomahawk option during meetings in New York to compel the Kremlin toward negotiations from a position of strength.>>> Ukrainian action behind the lines: explosions and fires were recorded at Afipsky Oil Refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar region and at sites in Rostov and occupied Crimea; a Russian base near Belaya Berezka, Bryansk region, was reported destroyed, signaling sustained interdiction of fuel and troop hubs.>>> Kyiv warned it will respond militarily if cross-border drone provocations from the Hungarian direction continue; the Armed Forces published a flight map of a Hungarian reconnaissance UAV that twice crossed into Zakarpattia and ordered full video documentation of future incursions.
>>>517357065 (cont'd)Russia & the Warfront>>> A truck collided with a freight train in Smolensk region, derailing a locomotive and 18 tank cars loaded with gasoline; the blaze disrupted local fuel logistics amid ongoing supply stress from strikes and refinery outages.>>> An explosion damaged track on the St. Petersburg–Pskov route near Plyussy; while casualties were not reported, investigations and repairs slowed rail movement essential for military freight.>>> Russia launched approximately 154 attack drones overnight; Ukraine reported 128 downed or suppressed, with impacts causing rail delays and infrastructure checks in several regions, including near the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant where debris triggered safety inspections without reactor interruptions.>>> Fuel shortages deepened: Sevastopol’s three-day reserve reportedly evaporated within a day under panic buying, and shortages were reported in Russia’s Lipetsk region—an indicator of pressure on regional distribution.>>> Russian media figure Tigran Keosayan, known for hardline propaganda and calls for violence, died at 59 after months in a coma, removing a prominent voice in the Kremlin’s information apparatus.United States>>> U.S. defense leadership convened an urgent briefing with hundreds of generals to assess European security scenarios and Ukraine support options; Zelensky said Washington is weighing timing and scope for expanded intelligence and long-range capabilities.>>> Zelensky told U.S. interlocutors that Americans do not trust Putin and that Moscow’s manipulation is now better understood; he said Trump is open to lifting limits on long-range use against Russian targets but has not issued formal commitments.>>> Trump argued Russia’s economy is “collapsing” under sanctions and war costs, predicting minimal territorial gains would not offset spiraling losses—messaging Kyiv sees as supportive of tightening enforcement.
>>>517357175 (cont'd) Europe & World (1/2) >>> Poland urged its citizens to leave Belarus immediately, citing escalating security risks along the border and recent hostile incidents.>>> Denmark briefly closed Aalborg Airport again after drone sightings and tracked a Russian warship near the edge of Danish territorial waters; Copenhagen increased air policing and naval monitoring with NATO partners.>>> Germany will assist Ukraine in developing strike capabilities aimed at disabling Russian UAV production sites; separately, drones were spotted over northern German states, prompting police and aviation checks.>>> Lithuania authorized its armed forces to shoot down drones and other aerial intruders more rapidly inside national airspace, streamlining rules of engagement amid regional overflights.>>> The EU opened initial talks on a 19th Russia sanctions package as capitals debated stronger mechanisms to prevent single-state vetoes; Slovakia raised objections, signaling a difficult negotiation.
>>>517357268 (cont'd) Europe & World (2/2)>>> Hungary reiterated it cannot rapidly quit Russian oil and gas without severe economic damage and hinted at blocking steps in Ukraine’s EU path; Ukraine responded by banning entry to several senior Hungarian officers, intensifying a broader diplomatic dispute.>>> The Netherlands arrested two 17-year-olds on suspicion of spying for Russia via Telegram, highlighting continued recruitment and influence operations targeting minors.>>> The UK’s Foreign Secretary David Lammy reaffirmed long-term support: “We will stand with you today, tomorrow, and 100 years from now,” aligning London’s stance with stepped-up European air defense production.>>> Germany welcomed a U.S. approval to sell 400 AIM-120D-3 AMRAAMs (about $1.23B), while MBDA prepared Patriot-class missile production in Bavaria by late 2026 to double global output and shorten Europe’s supply lines.>>> Moldova’s electoral playing field shifted when authorities removed a pro-Russian party from the ballot days before voting, a move likely to affect turnout and coalition math.

>>>517357353 (cont'd) Geopolitics & Economy>>> Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries pushed oil benchmarks upward and strained Moscow’s fuel export planning, with refinery schedules and tax tweaks under review to stabilize domestic supply.>>> Kyiv and Bucharest advanced plans for joint drone production to replenish stocks quickly and build a regional manufacturing hub; Denmark pledged about €400 million to procure weapons from Ukrainian manufacturers for transfer to the Defense Forces, injecting capital into Ukraine’s defense economy.>>> The European Commission moved closer to backing up to €140 billion in long-term financing for Ukraine’s stabilization and reconstruction, aiming to anchor macroeconomic confidence during wartime.>>> Ukrainian Railways warned of delays and route changes after Russian drone attacks on transport infrastructure; energy companies simultaneously hardened grids as winter-season targeting resumes.>>> Analysts outlined three conditions for Ukraine’s victory—continuous long-range supplies, unified Western policy, and a resilient economy—while some in Washington and allied capitals urged rapid scaling of aid to avoid strategic drift.

The ultras went on a chase for the offending group, and the offending group led them right to the camp with the civil protesters. And the juicy part? GIRKINPOSTING>Former leader of the Donbas Russian separatists, Igor Girkin (Strelkov), responds from prison to President Trump’s recent statements about Russia. Girkin writes: “I read Trump’s latest statement (extremely harsh towards Russia), where he says that Ukraine can defeat Russia because Russia has turned out to be a ‘paper tiger.’ Unfortunately, I must agree with him on a number of points.” “Indeed, to fight for a year and a half against a country whose collapse everyone expected in three days, or at least three weeks, requires some explaining. Especially when that country is Russia — a country with such enormous potential, such a long military history, such important military traditions, and a large army.” “I still wonder: will anyone ever be held accountable for the fact that we went to war with a show-parade-type, ceremonial battalion army?” “Will anyone be held responsible for those stupid, reality-detached plans that led to serious defeats and enormous losses?”
>>517361667>>The problem is not that I thirst for blood or revenge. That is the last thing anyone should think about when the fate of their country is at stake. My position is this: if mistakes are not admitted, they will not be corrected. It is very bad when an error is not acknowledged as an error but is instead treated as an achievement, and the people who committed it receive awards rather than punishment.” “Apparently that is exactly why our Chief of the General Staff is being awarded yet another set of medals. And don’t you wonder for what? For our troops advancing in certain districts at a snail’s pace, only to lose the occupied territory due to the enemy’s counterattacks?” “Or for the general assessment that we will fall a year and a half behind the enemy in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles?” “We are already seeing strikes on our Black Sea Fleet bases. Where is that Black Sea Fleet that, a year and a half ago, supposedly completely controlled the Black Sea and its airspace? Where did that fleet disappear to so that the enemy can now strike Novorossiysk with unmanned boats and we are completely unable to prevent it? Or what is happening over Crimea? What is happening in neighboring regions where the opponent is striking again and again?” ▪ “In the end, who will answer for all this? One of our ministers was promoted — formally, perhaps, but still. One general was sent to Tatarstan as an adviser. And a third well-known commander continues in leadership and continues to receive awards. What on earth is happening to us? Something must be done, a solution must be found.” “If we cannot win the war, then maybe we should really get out of it? But our ‘partners’ will not allow that. We must think about how to force our ‘partners’ to themselves leave the war. Questions arise for our military leadership if they cannot do this...” “
>>517361667>>517361696>Overall, I assess the situation as extremely serious and steadily deteriorating. Unfortunately, I do not see any prospect of a quick victory over Ukraine, because nothing is being done to prepare for such a victory.”
>>517361610>they don't hate us because they hate Russians>we hate you regardless on our opinions on your mongol brothers from RussiaYour point was addressed and proven to be bullshit. I still wait for you to name one of your neighbors who likes you.
