The 80 series is a better handling gun in the same caliber, perhaps due to size but the footprint in hand between an 85 and the PPKs, enlarged sporting version, is not such a great leap. I think the recoil spring and hammer spring in the beretta better delays felt recoil in addition to the location of material relative to the bore axis in what are guns of comparable weight. PPs and derivatives are 1930s cool but feels every part of it. I am reminded of a marginally better radom P64 when shooting a ppk in .380.
