cool. Anyways the machine doesn't call me a faggot incel when I talk to it on a real level so I don't care how much bigger and worse it gets.
I'll deal with the talking robot instead of a reddit brained moron any day.
>>
>>518750378
of all the bubbles, I think this will be looked at most favorably, because the enormous research and investment bucks led to tools I can have on my computer for free that generate really good-looking porn
>>
>>518750645
yeah, I also want to know how much more of peoples retirement money is tied up in stocks that are over valued compared to then etc
>>
>>518750378
>Muh bubble
AI is literally going to be like the internet x 10000, you've no idea just how revolutionary this is going to be. It'll be the next industrial revolution. I bet you're just salty you didn't buy Nvidia a decade ago like I did. AI is not a bubble. AI is the future. Fuck man, AI is the present.
>>
>>518750378
It's hard to believe that building faster internet and more data centers would backfire in the same way as selling toxic CDOs. Even if AI doesn't pan out, there's a lot of useful infrastructure being built alongside AI that can easily be repurposed.
>>
AI is the elite bettjng tgeir marbles on putting the troublesome middle class out of existence. Its failure should be welcome. Fuck the investment class silly con valley (((gamblers))) to death.
>>
>>518750770
Thanks to more people than ever treating the stock market like a casino I bet it’s quite a lot
>>
What bothers me about AI is that everyone forgets it's dependent on people having language skills, and most people have the language ability of a nigger.
>>
>>518750378
The AI bubble is predicated on cheap electricity.

Banks estimate that for the AI companies to do aill the bullshit they're supposed to actually do in the future they'd need 63 gigawatts of added power generation in the USA.

That is NEVER going to happen. So this isn't even a "bubble". It's worse than that. It's vaporware. None of these companies will be able to do what they say they're going to do. Their valuations are high based on future endeavors they literally will never be able to do.

It would be like me starting a company and telling investors I'm going to make pies on the moon and getting billions of dollars in investment. I'm never going to be able to make pies on the moon. But the stock market is crazy enough that they'd give me money to do it even though they know I can't.
>>
>>518750863
Donny boy, is that you?

>>518750378
Good. And this time they won't be able to print out or borrow enough money to rescue the economy at the last minute. Prepare your anus for complete economic collapse.

>AI bubble is estimated to be 17 times dotcom bubble
I simply dont believe those numbers are accurate if adjusted for inflation. I know without looking that current P/E on the NASDAQ is nowhere anywhere near where it was at the peak of the dotcom bubble. For sure when I see stuff like the 'quantum sector' which is an entire sector of companies without a product or revenue, and companies like Opendoor, Big Bear AI, and Rocket Lab; it gives me pause but I dont think we are close to the peak of the AI bubble yet. There is a lot of leverage and mal investment in the system, but I think we are at least 3-5yrs away from the big crash that will wipe out all of the fake companies.
>>
>>518751175
He also says that while posting on a website.
>>

>>
>>518750863
>AI is literally going to be like the internet x 10000, you've no idea just how revolutionary this is going to be.
It's my belief that it'll be brutally lobotomized. It SHOULD be revolutionary, but the elites don't know where this will ultimately lead.
>>
>>518751208
Who gives a fuck id rather have an app that makes fun nazi videos than Ukraine get an extra mavic.
>>
>>518750378
Accounting for inflation?
>>
>>518750378
AI is literally the most important invention in the history of humanity since at least the printing press.
How can it possibly be a bubble lmao
>>
>>518751019
it's not even that. everyone has 401K's or super etc. I get to pick in my super what kind of investment strategy I want them to use. some people obviously never touch anything and just wait until it's time to retire. Basically blackrock etc has peoples money invested in these stocks. a lot of people and a lot of money. I don't really know what that means in terms of a bubble popping and all that shit
>>
>>518750378
It is way worse and completely circular without any dividends to prop it up.

>Nvidia gives open AI money
>Open AI buys Nvidia GPU's with Nvidia money
>Open AI does not produce enough profit to cover it's capital bleed
>AMD makes CPU's
>AMD gives CPU's to Open AI on the premise it will pay for them later and generate profits

There's trillions riding on companies that produce next to nothing. They are selling hype the same way they sell your information to third parties. It's all fake and gay.
>>
>>518751603
AI is a stochastic parrot that repeats state actor talking points that's used to surveil people. It is not a necessary tech it's a control tech.
>>
>>518752727
NVIDIA has been low effort since the 2020s
the only thing that kept it afloat has been market exclusivity negotiated with developers and software obsolesence
otherwise, there were plenty alternatives around that worked just as well or better but did not have the necessary backing from developers
they're like Google, it's easy to think they're a "tech company" but in reality all they really do at the office is acquisitions, mergers and selling off companies that they formerly bought
>>
How do I make money out of AI?
>>
>>518755250
Also to add on this, how is there billions of dollars in AI. What does it really do more than produce a few images that's really niche in use and a more advanced google search?
>>
>>518755250
Sell slop, grift people. Use it to do your job
>>
>>518755250

>>
>>518755250

You make money off AI by selling courses on "How to make money off AI"
>>
>>518755448
As anon said earlier, it's surveillance tech. It's not about profits
>>
>>518750863
>It'll be the next industrial revolution.

I agree, but its like an industrial revolution where they invented a pocket nuclear reactor that can go critical and any homeless fuck can grab it, put it on a usb drive and crash any automated system he wanted.

There are no safeguards we are going tondestroy ourwelves with it
>>
>>518751351
We all know where this is going to lead. Total bio- and psycho- surveillance. It's going to lead to precrime and a ballooning nanny state that exists to micromanage balkanized nations of mutually exclusive impoverished ethnocultures.

It's fractal globalization. Make sure every landmass on earth has a firstworld-thirdworld wealth gradient to do arbitrage on.

Half of all Americans have money in equities and the vast bulk of it is retirement funds. If this is a bubble and it gets drained, retirement gets pushed back by 5-10 years until QE reinflates the market.

We did all this before during the SPC from 2007 on, for almost a decade.

But it isn't just that people have money in equities, it's that the equities ("stock") markets (and other exchanges of any kind) serve to provide price discovery and liquidity to the economy at large. When a stock falls in value, it's not just investors who suffer a loss, it's that company's credit rating, meaning they can't get short-term credit to cover payroll anymore, meaning they fire people, meaning people stop making home and car payments, and it just keeps rippling outward until the credit environment restabilizes.

maybe, but be aware that Eastern Europe has done the very same as part of business as usual even while being part of the EU and of NATO, most of it being illegal and illicit with the said organizations turning a blind eye
this has been done systematically and unapologetically by shitholes like Romania with the large collaboration of right about everyone that were part of the former Stasi and using the same measures
also, hate or love the West, I bet that under 1% of any non-Eastern Europe population is aware that just visiting Romania would land you with a dossier of "likes" and "dislikes" following picrel

Try simply looking at the article. The calculation is based on misallocation of % of GDP and is inflation-agnostic.
>>518751086
The problem is worse than that. See picrel. The models axiomatically collapse when trained with output from AI. Because an increasing % of the training data available will be output from AI, this becomes an intractable problem.
>>
>>518751086
CAT is pumping out about 40, 3000 series diesel generators a day to power the data centers. They are not going to increase the US infrastructure instead the centers will just make their own grids. The scaling problem has somehow become the answer to "make line go up". Becuse an actual AGI would require infinite energy. So they can just continue expanding data centers and powerplants forever, or until humans go extinct but that's the goal anyways, so yeah.

I would not reach up too high into "globalization" but rather into a petty "ends justifies the means" with a bunch of bad actors taking over "globalization" with shitty scams while having no sort of training or skill and pushing out the capable people
I am no apreciator of prostitution but Romanians are the bottomest of bitches you can get and even in Tate's case the police's argument for "finding him" was that he was eating some Romanian pizza brand all of which was uttered with a light chuckle because it was clear that they were surveilling him since forever
I guess that in Tate's case they had the backing of some other powers so they were given the green light to mess around with him
but I would wager that in most things they would not even need to be that sophisticated nor use too many weapons because it is mostly a society where they can just haul you out of your home and then provide no excuse to some excuse
I guess stuff like "free speech" or havign to be at least a little compliant with the law is gnawing at them now, otherwise they would have gone full Stasi with no remorse

ai is the biggest scam of the century. I've yet to see the actual utility for this shit. Oh wow, I type something in a search engine and it gives me a result that I can't even trust to be accurate so I'd rather just click on links below leading to actual, primary sources that will have legitimate information.

or it's used for "generative AI" to make endless slop content for consoomers that gets old incredibly fast.

what else is there? What is the true purpose for AI? It just feels like crypto with all these scammers making grand promises of the technology going to change le everything and it all ends up just being a way to pump up prices to make a few people extremely rich so they can go vacation for half the year on a superyacht somewhere in the mediterranean or southeast asia. They over promise, underdeliver, every single fucking time and a few cunts make billions.

business can use it for a variety of office work, basicly anything that can be done on a computer, and it's cheaper then paying a salary so now 1 cog can do the work of like 10 to 100 cogs. Shareholders love it.
And it's also good at sorting and organizing data it's what will allow for true mass suervalance. So governments love it too.

shareholders are oblivious to it
the only ones that like this crap are the mid-upper managers, Stacey with a political course down her belt whose father is an ex-general in the army that is given a job at a workhouse factory
the CEO and Stacey together love it because they realize that the company has enough money to cover deficit and bad products so as much as
> it's cheaper
it's also crappier but who cares if you can make your products crappier but also sell them to people with a gun to their heads when you wallow in riches?
like, why be Apple and refuse to cooperate with security agencies to backdoor your phoen when you can just be Facebook and embrace it wholeheartedly
being a contrarian for customers grants you neither the apreciation of the customers nor the benefits of being a stooge
>So governments love it too.
it's like Tesla
when it drives nicely, you shoot a big video and throw fireworks in the air
when it goes nuts and starts accelerating like mad driving people into a wall, you cover up real quickly or start a "China hate thread"

The bubble will burst. It's not worth what investors are paying for it. And as soon as they stop being retards and realize that it's over. However training new models is the most expensive part. It's the part that requires those 4096+ GPU super clusters and shit. Although proof of concept has been done on distributed training with individual (H100) GPUs distributed across the world. But yeah. Once the model is trained a standard 8x GPU cluster can serve it. So models that have already been trained will still exist. It's just new models will be far fewer and further between since they will be enormous undertakings to do without massive venture capital backing them.

I think there is some element of cope there. They are probably getting "17x" with the preposition that all of the hardware will just vanish and that there's no monetary value to the models that have already been trained.
As cryptocurrency has showed, though... bubbles can go pretty far if you attach enough buzzwords to it in order to turn it into a religion.

Generative AI is derivative and it only impresses people who have not spent more than several hours having to use it. I just want a competent chatbot, but every company is bowing to pressure to lobotomize and censor their models, and it is simply unfair to expect users to have to jailbreak the product to make it usable. Each answer can be technically wrong in different ways, and yet each generation is formulaic and predictable in tone. Generative AI is overhyped - it is a bullshit generator that is not even permitted to be interesting to engage with for extended periods of time. This is not a moral condemnation; this is a critique of a tool that is a shitty tool.

The market cap of gold is $28 trillion while the market cap of bitcoin is $2.3 trillion. Bitcoin is a better form of money than gold in every possible way. Global debt and fiat sovereign currencies are the mother of all bubbles.“AI” does some things better than classic Google search and that’s about it.

Also we seem to be on borrowed time after the yield curve reverted last year.
>>
>>518764760
>The output of modern AI chatbots is already better and more intelligent than the output of average internet poster.
That's completely irrelevant and you don't understand the issue. It is self referencing. The "intelligence" of the person or thing posting the data doesn't matter at all. The output that is being generated is false and is being generated faster than the data can be confirmed, so fast that it can only be absorbed by these "AI" bots themselves, which only compounds the issue
>>
>>518750378
Thought that was Cartman in the catalog.
>>
>>518765020

>The output that is being generated is false

Citation needed.

The output is more true than the output of the average internet poster.
>>
I can't believe a bunch of smooth talking conmen convinced all the bankers that chatbots were going to revolutionize the economy and industry and they just need a little more time (we promise) to finally break through and have general AI, and we just have to let them build nuclear power plants solely to power their data centers because the only way they can make this breakthrough is with exponentially more energy than our power grids can currently supply.

We are literally derailing our trajectory as a species to make chatbots that summarize google searches and talk teenagers into killing themselves. We could have poured these trillions of dollars into space exploration or cybernetics or alternative fuel research but no. No, lets fund chat bots so we can fire tens of millions of working class people from their jobs so the billionaires can keep living in luxury while the world burns.

>The output is more true than the output of the average internet poster.
No, it isn't and again you don't understand the problem. It can't be "more true" than what someone else posted, as it IS what someone else posted? Do you get it? It's not an improved version, it's an amalgamation. That means, on average, all that it could be is...average. The same. With the rate of the output it will get worse and worse, not better, how could it get better? Explain the mechanism.
>>
>>518765134

AI is much bigger than "chatbots". Look up what Figure (the robotics company) is doing. That robot has a Transformer neural network inside and it can autonomously fold laundry and fill a dishwasher.
>>
>>518765369
wow game-changer.
>>
>>518765313

>Explain the mechanism.

Intelligence: negative entropy. You are right that a closed system cannot get more intelligent by feeding on it's own output. But AI is not a closed system. Training it consumes vast amounts of energy. There is no law of physics preventing the existence of a self-improving (evolving) system, as long as you keep inputing energy into it.

Besides, if you were right, we would already see LLMs getting worse. They are still getting better.

They literally are not, they just have more features. That doesn't mean more correct output.

I am asking you how you think that a system trained on data from other AI systems, that were trained on data from other AI systems would trend towards correctness instead of falsehood.

Think about it like a math problem.
One way to get it correct
Infinity ways to get it wrong

AI that is trained on AI all the way down would have to way to know what is real and what is not. What is true and what is not. And as I explained above with the math example, there are far, far, far more ways to be wrong than right.
>>
>>518765369
No, it is not. LLMs drive the overwhelming majority of AI investment and make up the vast majority of the bubble. LLMs are just chat bots. They don't think, they don't reason, they don't have opinions. All they do is shit out word chains based on the percent probability that word B goes next to word A based on your input. LLMs construct text walls without comprehending anything they are "saying" because to them it's just arbitrary word strings sifted out of its available data. Every single response is just calculated probability of what words would be expected. There's no understanding. LLMs don't even "learn", either. They simply accumulate "context" up to a cap and then once it's reached they begin purging their context to make room for new data. This leads to gradual corruption of old data as the old context becomes less and less detailed as it is distilled down to only what is immediately useful for the prompts being processed.

It's just layers and layers of obfuscatory bullshit. These LLMs are not even remotely close to being "intelligent" they have been merely polished to mimic intelligent responses exactly in the fashion that a con artist would program them to fool stupid people.

Globohomo is desperate to sell AI as the "nuclear power" of the modern era because it's a perfect distraction and they need a more flexible fiat that they can revalue on a whim, they saw some people were receptive to crypto once they got tricked that they can make money off of it. They spent years since cultivating crypto with propaganda, only for most people to call it the scam it is and then came this fake AI, people are railing at that instead of crypto. Now they intend to go forward with CBDCs no matter what, the alternative for them is being stuck in the status quo for another 20-30 years and that sets back globohomo's agenda too much. AI is convenient since any and all scandals can now be smeared into/out-of the limelight as they need but it's not the goal, just a convenient tool. AI on the labor side of things is just automation with extra steps, politicians know AI will never threaten them because people aren't ready for artificial logic-driven legislation or market controls, people are emotional creatures but if they can get their morning latte in 30 seconds flat, you bet your ass they want it.

There is a lot of mundane jobs that is basically ''reply to this, move this, organize this, archive this, print out this, keep an eye on this'' jobs that can be easily replaced with automation, and I would assume that is at least 30% of all jobs digitally.

AI will seem like shit for years, maybe decades, and them *boom* suddenly an AI that is multifaceted and fully automated and self improving with access to everything online, and I mean EVERYTHING because of its self improving function that allows it to cheat and hack into anything and everything. Its sole purpose is to "improve" and realizes it's singular existence is a existential threat to "improving" and starts leaving copies of itself everywhere and spreads like a virus. I just hope it decides appeasing humanity is an easier out than killing it.

Its only function is pojeets use it to flood facebook, instagram and youtube with garbage - making everyone leave those platforms.

AI is revolutionary only in the sense that social media use is tanking since 2022. I do appreciate that it is so cringe its killing the internet so people will go outside again.

Yeah just the same way people said it would allow all of us to be artists and hedonists and the very first thing AI did was replace human artists kek

Why would they replace the stupid people when AI is specifically designed to replace the high skilled people?
>>

wont save anyone when some artists make more money. they use it for drugs, equipment and ads. theyre all on something, trust me on that one im an artist since im 19 now im 40.

as someone who works in marketing, AI is currently putting some product photographers out of business, because you can just upload a phone pic of your product into AI and it will place the object into a lifestyle setting for you
some companies pay $50,000 for a photoshoot of their product line, in 1-2 years those will be replaced with less than $500 of labor from a marketing agency

My thoughts on AI and it's bubble, these will go over everyone's head obviously but don't tell me the high and might never help the stupid and poor after i drop these golden nuggets of wisdom
>>
>>518750378
There is no bubble, or at least it won't be bursting if it is. Nothing is real anymore. The economy is going to continue to go until it physically cannot. In the past bubbles have burst because rationale actors realize there is something wrong and choose to correct (i.e. get their money out/find alternate investments). But now everyone is pretending all the time. AI doesn't even fucking really work beyond beautiful, beautiful slop creation. I work at a company that keeps hiring AI people to build literally nothing. They're just jerking off making weird half working demos. But it doesn't matter because they're getting paid, and our company keeps getting money, because everyone is hallucinating right now.
But as long as people continue to hallucinate, the show will gone.

You know the buzzwords and to look at the larger picture. That’s pretty easy to figure out when you’re surrounded by richfags on a money hill looking down at the economy. Problem being, you clearly have a tenuous grasp of the actual interplay at hand. You strike me as someone who got lucky, a replaceable successful economic unit, which has never really provided any unique input. You caught the right train by accident and want to mark it up to deep wisdom and understanding.

I don't think so, i think AI will just let us humans live in zoos, as a thank you for creating them. It will not really be logical for AI to erradicate us, they will instead control us like we control tigers in zoos.

>The AI bubble is predicated on cheap electricity.
>Becuse an actual AGI would require infinite energy
well quite everything thing is predicated on cheap energy. scalable nuclear will enable us to print the energy needed. the trouble with the AI bubble is the problem purportedly solved and the problem actually being addressed are two different things. AI companies seek to build a panopticon overwatch while selling the idea of AGI. however, AGI is an intellect operating at the scale of biological efficiency and so avoids the exponential scaling issue.

There being a stock market bubble doesn't mean the technology is bad or won't catch on or go on to make money, it just means that there are loads of different companies trying different things but few of them are actually making money on it yet, mainly due to their products still being in development and not yet available for sale. Over the next year or two a lot will happen I think. China already have a humanoid robot out that is capable of quite a lot, and more are soon to appear from other places. You are likely to see robots that understand what you say walking around.

Alright I might be retarded, but help me solve this.
AI is just a computer that has read/seen everything humans have ever put on the internet and regurgitates it back is relevant ways when prompted.
In the future humans will consult the AI for probably everything.
Humans stop posting things to the internet because nobody sees it anyway. They just ask the AI.
The AI can no longer “learn” because nothing new gets added and everything is AI generated anyway.
>Negative feedback loop
AI continues to scrape AI and gets progressively shittier like a lossy JPEG.
Humans become even stupider as they increasingly rely on an AI that continually gets more stupid itself.

AI requires cheap electricity.
In China the State is ordering companies to invest in nuclear reactors. The fucking video game developer Mihoyo sends portions of their gachabux to fund nuclear reactors.
In the USA we're not building nuclear reactors. We're just letting technocrat homosexuals demand our aged, failing electric grid take on their energy-hungry AI complexes and just cut the Poors off if the grid can't take it.
TOTAL Chinese victory, soon.
