I intend to go to land owners and bid security services to watch the perimeter for blade larpers with 1000$ silver swords in exchange for eggs and silver. Most will say they don't want it now but I see a lot of farms in my day job, they are often well to do and older having immigrants or felons doing the chores rather than family members. Even if they want to autisticly patrol during daylight they have to sleep sometime. I'll probably get some radios and try to scale up so as to have a network of cannon fodder security that can coordinate and move and support each other in areas experiencing too many Somali raiders for one guy to safely handle. People with actual combat experience and families can make more elsewhere or would have more important things to monitor; I suspect security personnel just guarding substations and transmission will provide many full time jobs in the next 5 years. I want to focus on lower importance and less rich clients that are willing to pay to secure their farms but is poor enough to take a risk on people with condor gear and holosun thermals. The worse things get the better business opportunities there will be.

Samsung created a new battery that uses silver, soon enough the governments going to come confiscate all that silver everyone's been collecting.
>>
>>524139378
It takes 5-7 years to get a mine operational assuming no exploration time. The #2 producer is China which is putting a review and potentially stopping or significantly restricting all exports of silver and other strategic materials next month. The exchanges where significant industrial or investment grade silver could be had experienced sharp shortages earlier this year and avoided declaring force majuere on contracts and cash settlement on everything only due to a large lease out of China. The reason for the additional shortfall was India buying additional jewelry for some jeet holiday but everyone important noticed. Samsung is making batteries with 1 kg of silver in them, india has created retirement ETFs similar to Sprotts meaning regular large purchases that sit in a vault very long term and Europe decided or was told they'd be own their own for regional security and associated gear. DOD told defense contractors to 10x production if at all possible. Do you know how much silver is in a Tomahawk cruise missile? How much silver can be recovered from AgZn batteries that have become standard for all US ballistic missiles and conversely how much of the above silver is recoverable or recyclable? This fud was semi relevant 5 years ago but after every technological push and initiative of the last 25 years paired with being perpetually undervalued such that supply shortages could not be anticipated or solved by the market, we are in a different world with the same solutions. Make it more expensive until surpluses can be achieved, that's all that can be done. You'll still see consolidation as many sell with each leg up, happened when W Buffett bought years ago and India sold volumes. But these are one time use and eventually everyone desperate runs out of their parents coins or silverware. We are in such a deficit that anything pure is in no shortage of a buyer if nothing else to refineries for the foreseeable future.

Melt value versus face value depends on the coin. Some good condition ones from the 1800s will have a higher face value than melt.

>>524139756
For Americans Basel lll made it legal to execute bank bail ins in cases of insolvency. Lebanon did it as well, funds are frozen or converted to liquid vehicles that can allow the bank to continue to operate. Savers lose forever to some degree, higher risk banks will go first but they use up buyers of last resort trying to absorb the larger ones going under and printing will be inevitable beyond current debasement. If there is a run on American banks and we become third world tier you better believe everyone but Russia is going to see aftershocks and similar effects of people trying not to be fucked out of their money for the greater good. Crypto and all equity exchanges operate the same way, no one is the underlying owner of anything in an emergency but the market maker. Gold and to a lesser degree cash in a mattress are the safest way to save.
>>
>>524141767
No unless you need the money for something right now. Otherwise consider it savings that can only appreciate in value for at least the next decade. It will be easier to liquidate in the future if refiners ever catch up, the had a halt on 90% due to the additional energy costs, high demand and high lease rates. It won't be forever, there's a finite amount of 999 fine ready for market otherwise the price would still be under $50. If you do sell you might have better luck p2p.

It's not so far fetched. Gold doesn't get destroyed (that is mixed into landfills at a rate cost prohibitive to extract) nearly as much as silver. Most of it that was mined thousands of years ago is still sitting on a shelf somewhere.
As more and more economically viable silver is extracted from existing mines, cost of production will steadily increase until one day it is no longer cost prohibitive to suck it out of landfills.
That day may see silver considerably more expensive than gold, which will still be in abundance inside everyone's vaults.

This is the reason and silver is going to be in short supply, there is inevitably going to be a boom for the silver recycling industry because it's hard to mine as the ore is usually processed with something else like lead or zinc. Bread at one time was a nickel, copper wires , switch boards, copper pipes.
Those times have been replaced with,
4 dollar bread , hyperinflation, rare earth minerals hording, tariffs and WARs .
Most Western silver exchanges can't deliver physical silver, causing a default.
World currency Reserve countries Britain, UK, USA, and China .
When a empire country turns to religion, it's in the last stage of collapse. The USA is in the last stage of collapse. The best option is gold and silver when the US currency becomes like other countries who collapsed.
Trump ordered the devaluing of the USA dollar through interest rates. To do anything it will take more dollars to do.
>>
>>524136750

I don't understand why people completely misread what I was trying to say.

I was saying the person who thinks there is no use for silver is misinformed about the multiple uses of silver. What seems to be too nuanced for people to understand is that not all industrial use is equivalent. When they use silver in consumer tech or datacenter equipment, that silver is not lost when the product is no longer used. Someone buys the scrap and refines it to extract precious metals.

When you use 31 pounds of silver in a cruise missile, that silver is not recoverable after use. It's scattered all across the battle space. When you use silver in satellites, that silver becomes lost when the satellite de-orbits.

Every economically advanced nation is rapidly arming at levels not seen in generations. This is ramping up large pathways of silver use that are destructive to overall supply, and are outbidding other users of silver for national security reasons.

I'm not a silver bug, I don't max stack. I should have when i first thought about this a long time ago.

Silver isn’t hard to mine, it’s just that it’s cheaper and profitable for it to be extracted from other ores as byproduct. Most primary silver sources are untouched. And electronics with silver is meaningless since efficiency reduces the need for more of it.

it's expensive stuff, the sustaining cost is 19$-27$, so for every ounce pulled out of the ground they spend like 24$ on trucks, equipment, fuel, salaries, water bills, dodgy strippers, catering, taxes, liability insurance, etc. When the price of silver was dancing an inch north or south of 25$ that made operation a gamble or a slow, long term investment for most mines. As silver has been pushing head and shoulders beyond that break-even point, yet everything remains the same, that means you're looking at revaluation soon and it will be a big one. It depends on the mine and how dedicated they are to their silver, how the company wants to proceed, if they really have sold off a lot of gear in the off-season now they need to buy or lease some on credit or swaps which introduces some risk to the portfolio, but, picture this, every dollar above like 25$ is pure C.R.E.A.M

>Central banks aren’t hoarding silver.
they've started actually. ok not CENTRAL banks but whatever it's not like they have a fiduciary obligation, they're entirely self serving to the game of funny money so they don't need silver to operate, they need silver to be suppressed to operate, there's no reason they ever would or could hoard the stuff. Everyone is bailing from the market which is bullish as fuck. Samsung just decided, fuck that, i'm not going to play games, and bought 2 years of mining rights to secure the materials to produce their next gen batteries.

This might look like Supply/Demand dynamics, which is is, but it's market aversion, it means Samsung doesn't trust that Comex or LMBA or whoever can fulfill their orders in a way that would keep their cost and supply chain consistent. it means that Samsung in no way believes the current system can supply that in the same way as operating their own mines can, albeit they are vertically integrated so honestly I wouldn't be surprised if everything on the worksite is Samsung branded gear. Nevertheless it means they don't see silver dropping below what they paid for it beyond the margin of liability, and honestly, they won by doing this.

And in general, it is a far better investment to put money in tangible goods rather than speculative instruments. I really don't understand the people who say a house isn't an investment. When your portfolio tanks, my house will still be standing, my cars will still be running, and all of them have more stable value.
>>
>>524166929
are you just holding paper silver? The etfs and futures are going to default, that's the whole play physical stackers are making. You don't want to be holding paper silver when that day comes.
>>
And tell me guys... what exactly do you sell this silver for?
Its worth is measured by.... what?

Lmao. Silver ain't shit. You end up selling it for the cash you were hedging it against in the first place. And when shits REALLY fucked up? Nobody will want silver. They'll want food, weapons, water, tobacco and coffee.

Cool, cool. I see you, bro. But guess what? Silver is money, and has inherent value, and will actually hold value better than your house and cars, with less mantenance, taxes and insurance! But you do your investing your way.

Won't happen in Western countries in our lifetimes. Hell, it hasn't even happened in Ukraine. Someone can post that account the guy gave of Bosnia in the 90s but that was post-Soviet brealup combined with a dedicated Western bombing campaign. They don't do that shit outside of the ME anymore. Technology has all but rendered it unfeasible. Every scare that we were prepped for in the last couple decades was a psyop. Survivalists aren't dumb but they are naive about the weirdness of modern digital markets. Supply lines are number one priority for the powers that be at this point because debt is easy to access to purchase goods. The kikes have mastered stability infrastructure for global markets. There will be no true SHTF short of a cataclysmic event. No barter. No warlords. No malcontents thriving with their bunkers and ammo and water purification tablets. That is now far more of a fantasy than it was in the 2000s. Modern banking has proven that nothing short of total civilization catastrophe will disrupt your ability to go buy cheetos and mountain dew and make a gesture to charge it to the corporation that is your name.

besides the fact that it conducts electricity better than gold, which is used in a shit ton of electronics
or the thermal properties making it the preferred cooling paste for decades

do you know why it's called "silverware" while your poorfag set is made of chinese steel?
because silver is antimicrobial "a substance that kills or stops the growth of microorganisms like bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites"
when shit hits the fan and you can't waste resources to wash dishes, guess how you'll die? if you need inspiration play The Oregon Trial

lol not at all. You’re bragging about 119% when my photo shows 321% and that’s stock market spot market with no leverage. You started with what? 100k? I started with way less and made it to six figures. I’d eat you alive in the market. We don’t even know if your gains are realized or unrealized but my 321% is fully realized

Lithium batteries are about to become basically obsolete over night. This is the reason China stopped export and are tightly regulating it.
>>
To the Moooooooooooooooooooooooooon.
>>
>>524170124
These batteries in cars are connected in series and in packs. Crackheads are gonna rip these things apart. Also every new phone will be a target. This won’t end well, it’ll end up in everyone getting their electronics stolen for scrap.
>>
>>524170446
Press f to doubt. They are sandwiched into a tightly packed skateboard platform in accessible due to shielding and safety regulations. Also all cars are ota and GPS connected to the corpo mothership they were spawned from. Not to mention cameras, alarms etc embedded into these cars.

>>
>>524170637
Because the future is solid state in every device, car, robot and appliance reliant on batteries will be stuffed with silver to make them work. Think ram prices but to silver in a moment.

>>
>>524170574
They aren’t gonna put GPS on the battery packs, and you really think it couldn’t be opened by some determined people with nothing to lose? These are crackheads, if you tell them that there is over 2k in silver scrap from the batteries of EV’s then you best believe not only crackheads will try, but criminals will too. They’ll flip it over and pry the damn thing open. These people need their fix or are criminals looking for a pay day and they don’t care. Trust me bro, these animals will tear into these things more savagely than a starving pack of raccoons descending upon the only garbage can with food.
