>>527887428If you're serious then I've brought successful legal action against a multinational energy company, the royal mail, a printer company and John Lewis in the last year because Claude can do it all with minimal supervision. Law is dead mate, LLMs are almost designed for law. By the time you've finished your first year, it'll have gotten twice as good as it is now. Literally can't compete, there's no path to compete.
>>527887513AI is tightly aligned to the interests of its owners. So your example can only happen if it benefits them. It would be framed as lack of evidence, or pre-existing conditions being causal to their demise*. But judges and medical doctors are the last to be replaced, they are the most entrenched of them all.*German judges do that, when some unnamed group engages in head kicking, they find a doctor who confirms a bad blood vessel and say that no single responsible perpetrator can be found in the group of attackers, so they all go free with two years of probation.>>527887564Like mechanical engineers and mathematicians, and the people who design chips, or make power stations.
>>527887152Most of what a lawyer does is discovery, LLM's are ridiculously good at discovery. Everyone knows that white collar jobs are the easiest jobs to replace by AI, the thing is that because these are the most politically influential people in the world (lawyers) they will simply write laws and regulations that make themselves necessary. Lawyers are unironically a cancer on the political system.
>>527887867Lawyers are a devious race, they will simply lobby parliament to make it illegal to use LLM's for anything and will only let members of the bar association post anything legal online. The only way to get rid of lawyers is with the sword.
>>527887428If you really want to do that, there is only one path: Pass with reasonable grades, but focus on meeting the current Epstein. Learn to fight for life with blackmail and contracts of pure evil. The next 30 years are the last woes of mankind, elites have decided, politicians are executing their will.
>>527887867That's actually fascinating. The way it's outpaced typical yiddish games must be terrifying to the old guard entrenched in the system.
>>527888013>LLM's are ridiculously good at discovery>makes shit up
I just don't understand the hulabaloo. >it's just a conversation simulatorTo me, much more impressive is smoke, fire, water simulatorshttps://youtu.be/PhdViNZox2MAI music? Just draw from white noise cloned wave forms and patterns from other artists. Same with everything else. With huge cost in energy and water consumption. Ridiculous.
>>527888013>>527888323But yes, these have useful applications such as in Law, Healthcare and maybe in Finances. Few key areas where it's actually useful.
>>527887152If lawyers are being replaced, so can be judges, and then even politicians.
>>527887152Why does filing a motion require a week of work? Instead of replacing the work with AI, maybe take a step back and start to ask why in the world has the legal system been so filled with meaningless bureaucracy that even the most basic of things require tons of effort.
>>527887152>>527887238If you can’t declare your motion by stating a simple statement then the system is corrupt and God will destroy it. Hiding everything by Jewish lawyer speak in Latin so plebs cannot get a fair trial is the epitome of tyranny.“Oops your a working class goyim and can’t afford a paid lawyer I guess you lose your case, oops I can’t hear anything you say unless you pay a Jewish lawyer” Never forget this lack of humanity by your oppressors.
>>527887152law will be rewritten to be more ai friendly.
>>527887152New AI Day 1: OMG it's over AGI is here. New AI Day 4: Actually it's still shit
>>527887152>The new Anthropic AI model scaring lawyers and legal firms.End of competent lawyers. Bad lawyers will do entry level shit for their entire careers, but even good ones will need to know the basics will start their careers with entry level shit. Basically if AI takes over entry level shit, only lawyers that will exist are nepo babbies of current good lawyers.>>527887428You are fucked if you don't have connections.
>>527888645lol. accountability? never
All gonna peter out unless you can harness the energy of burger women on bicycles to run those data centers. Nuclear plants are a bandaid at best. Not a pretty sight.
>>527887152So I guess those associates get no experience and unless AI keeps improving we'll and up with nothing but shit lawyers in high positions. Great.
>>527888645Because the system is totally corrupt and inhumane. It’s torture, the jail and prisons, state sanctioned torture of whites. If you even have evidence proving your innocent the courts will just rule it as ineligible for the court and won’t allow you to even tell a jury. If you can afford a good lawyer they will throw out the case even if you are obviously guilty. If you try to represent yourself they will give you the maximum sentence. Everything in America is under duress and the threat of torture and inhumane conditions. The cops and guards literally will make jokes about inmates getting raped to the young guys that come in. They thrive on sadism and control.America has become a tyrant state ruled by Jews and traitors who conspire against their fellow American.Do you dare to disobey? They send you off to be tortured. Do you dare to speak up? Then they will make it worse.
Hey, I think I got it.These conversation simulators are excellent for people >WHO DON'T HAVE INNER MONOLOGUE!They can practice talking with these LLMs like normal people do with their inner monologues.
>>527887428Hi, I'm an attorney. I don't know if you are a bot or what but there will always be a need for lawyers and not "AI." Just google what happens to the people who try to make briefs with AI, they end up fucking over their clients, themselves and the Court. Just make sure you study and take advantage of Office Hours. You will probably make outlines for your classes when studying for the finals- you really should write them out but also be aware there will be outlines for your specific class and probably professor, usually online. It can be helpful to review those as well because they will focus on things that the professor generally likes to test on. Don't solely rely on these outlines. Apply for internships ASAP. My advice is send a letter of interest with your resume to every Judge's office (Federal, State, County, etc) in the local of where you plan to spend your summer. Express your interest in eventually practicing in that location. Research who they are before the interview, nothing extreme, just google what that kind of judge does and maybe a case they are attached to. You can be a great attorney, anon, don't get discouraged by liars and demons from the Valley.
>>527887152can it get past smb 1-1 yet?

>>527888986Thanks, friend.
>>527887152Law as a career is a farce anyways.Imagine being a lawyer. A war breaks out, your country ceases to exist. What are you good for? What are your skills that would allow you to keep living under new government like you did inder earlier one? None, because you law education is meaningless bullshit.Even a garbage collector is more important for society and have more skills that are needed by any occupant than any lawyer will ever be.
>>527889238>Even a garbage collector is more important for societyThis goes for most white collar jobs. When the pandemic happened we found out what jobs are actually essential to society and which jobs aren't
>>527888013>ridiculously good at discoveryRidiculously good at saying total crap confidently over and over, hence why they're perfect replacements for lawyers.
>>527889344The latest models are pretty accurate and mostly don't hallucinate any longer. They still need human supervision to make sure they don't fuck up, but probably 90% of what they produce is quality stuff.
>>527888013I mean lawyers will still be necessary to direct and proofread but also legitimize the AI, but you will need much fewer of them. Only the best and most adaptive will survive as one good lawyer with AI can do the job of 10
>>527889471Same shit with the software industry. Humans are still necessary to direct and supervise the AI, but far fewer are needed. It also means Indian outsourcing firms are probably finished, now that LLMs produce better code.
>>527887330I'll be a success like his cyber truck

>>527887428>I-I thought only tech bros were getting fucked over...The actual scary thing is that current AIs are good enough to replace juniors and people entering the job market and seniors keep their job, meaning that once those retire those who were replaced by AI won't have the proper experience to replace the retirees.
>>527887428I’m a lawyer and I can immediately tell if something is written by AI. It comes off in an odd way and usually AI gets the nuance of legal precedent wrong because it will find “the language” you’re looking for but it’s not at all relevant for what you’re looking for. And only go to law school if you’re seriously interested and want to do it. And do not expect to make massive money upon graduation. The best way to make a lot of money as a lawyer is to have a degree in engineering of some kind or chemistry and then get a law degree and then do patent work.
FYI Andrew Yang's entire shtick is to fear monger automation so take what he says with a grain of salt
>>527888986In my personal experience, which maybe shouldn't be taken as typical, AI+pro se has been orders of magnitude more effective than my paid lawyer. But you have to watch it carefully because it will spit out made up cases or cases that aren't related to what you're talking about.
>>527887428>>527889710AI and robotics will replace everything that a human does today. except for love.
>>527889155I didn't specify to only look at high profile cases anon, I literally told people to google it. If you want you can even narrow your search down to where ever you live. Well not you because you are "Australian." :^) Either argue in good faith or at least pretend to be an Aussie and bring bants. >>527889186You can do it! I gtg but the other thing is when applying for stuff just read up on what they are and what they do, and include a letter of interest saying who you are and why you want to be there specifically. It is a pain in the ass but it helps get a leg up on other people as it shows your writing abilities.
>>527887152Lawyers over-complicate things on purpose, so you need to pay EXTRA PREMIUM prices to navigate their shit complex law books.AI is very capable of organising the law books and navigate their shit systems already.Law needs a MAJOR cleanup and lawyers need to have way less power overall. They need to finally get a reality check and to step down from their high horse...

And I bet the program responsible for Epstein includes breeding GMO loli these days. But that's just an intermediate step. There are two options: 1 Technical capability comes with too many doomsday weapons, and is too interconnected now, so by statistical chance, one will end civilization or even life.2 Traditional life will be culled this century, because 1 is pushed back by extreme surveillance to the next century. But in the medium term of 100 years or so, 1 is inevitable.

>>527890524They rolled out a nearly fully automated one years ago. They will diversity-proof them with steel plating, and they won't have employees by 2040, just five owners living in uber luxury from the profits.

Its about time they get replaced with AI so they shrink back to their fair size and influence.AI will simply enforce fairness into all professions.
>>527890691yeah very forward thinking from legal cretins.what are you going to do when the old faggots retire and you have no juniors around to replace them? leave bots in charge of the company?how fucking retarded can you be
>>527887152As a lawyer, once you identified the relevant "case", you would just pull boilerplate text modules from a database and cobble it together. Requires no thinking, no intelligence. But no AI will ever have the judgment for an accurate subsumption of particular facts under a general case, so the human work that may become obsolete is the work of the assistant, the secretary, but not the lawyer's.

>>527888323Not joking when I say it conflicted out the energy companies general counsel, then folded the managing counsel into a pretzel and fucked him. >>527887152I'm using cursor at work and it is really great. I was against AI because I tried it 2 years ago and it was trash but the enterprise stuff they got going on nowadays is truly making good work while giving it very simple prompts. You just tell it to scan your entire environment and make something new or give you a change list etc... Things that would've taken a lower level employee in the past. The unfortunate thing is the people who'll be using this tech will not gain knowledge themselves if they rely on it, so if you've been working for 5+ years and have experience in your field, you've likely made it. To the zoomers and Gen alpha, you're fucked.
>>527896819>Things that would've taken a lower level employee in the past. The unfortunate thing is the people who'll be using this tech will not gain knowledge themselves if they rely on itSo it eliminates the entry levels jobs and deskills employees. How is this meant to be good again?

>>527897064It doesn't eliminate them entirely, you still need people to run these programs and ask them for shit but I'm already seeing a bunch of literal retards pushing mega tools/scripts that would've taken an entire software team to develop, but the thing is... No one asked for these tools or needed them before, so you're creating something no one in the industry needs, but npc retards will make up anything and management eats it up because they have little clue to what people creating things actually need to have available. The other day management was talking about stopping hiring based on skill in the literal thing we do and hire based on AI usage skill for a role that mostly deals with things AI can pretty much replace. So they're lowering the standards, requirements and likely the salary and quality of the person being hired. It's a hellish couple of years ahead I reckon.

All witnesses say he did not reach for his gun. Cop fired for lying about PTSD and drug use. What happens for bring s victim of police shooting and theft? 30 year conviction because his lawyer fucked the case up on purpose. The court even made the jury incorrectly sign paperwork that HE SHOT THE COP. Also he got conviction for "possession of a controlled substance" DESPITE HAVING A PRESCRIPTION.It's 100% corrupt and all freemasons and jews in the court system need a public hanging.
>>527888594Those and coding. The difference is LLMs really can't replace programmers for anything large, complex, or business critical, only act as a new abstraction layer, similar to how the compiler made writing in assembly mostly obsolete. Did the assembler replace any programmers? No, they only brought coding a little bit closer to natural language. LLMs bring it a step further. What I mean by that is you still have to decide how you want the problem solved, how you want it to work, you have to decide on things like architecture, data model, tech stack and how to use it, how to run tests, what kind edge cases to cover and how, order of implementation, etc, etc. Making nayhtung large and complex requires an unfathomable number of choices and this is arguably the truly difficult part that requires real skill and experience. Sure you can vibe code simple shit, and this is great for quick disposable scripts, but you can't let an LLM make big decisions about anything that needs to scale or run in a production environment, you still have to describe the ideal solution in excruciating detail, you just don't need to worry about syntax while doing it anymore.

It can't test code, it can't correct itself, it can't talk to other models, it can't search properly or find publicly available information. >>527887152As an experienced engineer (civil/environmental), I use AI all the time and can totally see this wiping out a lot of White collar work. Copers argue that AI hallucinates and produces bullshit, and therefore it's not feasible to submit AI output as part of professional work. And they're correct, at least in this retarded narrow strawman case that doesn't actually comport with reality. The thing is, no decent professional actually submits AI output wholesale. They use it to save massive amounts of time in intermediary steps. Most white collar work, especially at the junior and mid levels, is repetitive bullshit. Writing from templates. Basic literature review. Regulatory review. Creating PowerPoint presentations. Note taking. Writing guides and logs. Its much faster to just have AI do the work and then review it for errors instead of starting from scratch. Practically speaking, I can hire 1 junior engineer instead of 3 and still get more productivity out of them with AI. It also makes it much easier for someone experienced like me to focus my attention on training the one junior engineer to develop senior-level skills than 3.If I need to write a new job requisition, I just feed AI my resume, explain to it the seniority structure of my organization, and ask it to step the requirements down 2 or 3 levels. It produces something that takes 20 minutes of manual editing to get right, instead of 3-4 hours of writing from scratch.Once people learn how to use AI, there will be far less demand for junior roles. People will still get hired and will be expected to use AI to perform at 2-3x their previous productivity, eliminating the need for large headcounts.

>>527901724Regarding design work, AI can ingest surveying coordinates and produce a road alignment or a foundation design on Civil3D in 5 minutes. Then you get the engineer to review the design and fix for errors. Same for CAD. Same for Rhino or Revit. Most design work is highly standardized and doesn't require much creativity. If you need creativity, it's still usually easier to start with a baseline drawing and modify it in any way you see fit.I'm so productive with AI that I'm looking at a VP promotion within the next year.

"AI" is literally just the predictive text function that phones have had for years with an excessive amount of power funnelled into it. It is not real, in the sense that it is not AI and isn't really capable of doing anything useful. So far the most relevant legitimate use for AI is that it allows people who barely speak english to write coherent emails. It is not going to change anything. There are two kinds of people acting like it is revolutionary. The first group are the delusion tech dweebs who say literally every new thing is going to be revolutionary and that every career(except tech dweeb) is about to be obsolete. These people are morons and shouldn't ever pay attention to anything that they say. The second group of people are the elites. They are claiming that AI is revolutionary because they need some revolutionary new thing to prop up the stock market for a few more years. They don't actually believe it, but they can't let the price of NVIDIA stock crash yet or it will take the entire US economy with it. They also need to justify holding onto Taiwan for a few more years and pretend that China having lapped the field in industrialization while the West financialized away all of its actual material advantages isn't a real problem. In a few years, when they're comfortable doing it, they'll rugpull the entire AI industry and it will go back to being a niche toy for computer fetishists.

>>527887152The legal profession started dying over 30 years ago. Legal drama movies and TV, very popular at the time, sent buttloads of people, mostly women, into the profession because they thought every day would be a dress-up, flirty, you-go-girl, paid lunches, air-conditioned playground where they could push their idealism on stodgy old partners and judges. But their media inspiration omitted important aspects of the profession - civil law is endless hours of mostly tedious, boring and often unpleasant wok, and doesn't accommodate personal values or idealism. So women either became dour, humorless drones doing work they hated, or went full psychopath in their single-minded drive to "make partner." Many men stayed only long enough to get the chops to move to criminal law via a stint with state prosecutors offices, or just went solo. The end result was burnout and a brain drain on the profession. In one sense, AI has helped because it can do a better job than women anyway.
>>527887152That's cute, but real cases are decided by which lawyer golfs with the judge enough.

>>527887428There’s not a single safe white collar job honestly. Sales and high touch client/customer facing is going to go too. Pretty much only executives, high level managers, and the people building and maintaining or improving the models are safe-ish. Maybe upper rank capital allocators and bankers are safe-ish too. Literally every junior to mid level job that isn’t managerial or revenue generating is in peril.
Yes, AI is good for ground floor work and will likely replace 90% of entry level positions as it is dialed in more over time. This isn't controversial, it is the truth.>>527887238Very influential namesake who invented Boolean Algebra. >>527888459Most people don't understand there is more than one kind of AI and they think everything is done by LLMs
>>527907378I don't think it's that dire. There's a huge gap between having AI and implementing it. Companies often get by, especially in the area of business administration, through sheer improvising and those environments are usually made and sustained by women, people who have neither pattern recognition nor business skills. The body of work has to be systematized in the first place in order to implement AI, and we're far, far away from that.
>>527907814>and those environments are usually made and sustained by women, people who have neither pattern recognition nor business skills. lol, lmao>The body of work has to be systematized in the first placeThis is true. The real problem is a people problem. Nancy in HR and Stacey in Accounting are retards who don't know what they're doing and SHOULD be replaced by a jeet-AI that is equally retarded but much cheaper. However, they won't be replaced because they will complain about how their (intentionally) convoluted process is necessary, and every time AI replicates it and automates it, they'll make up some new rule it didn't know to follow that isn't documented anywhere and never actually existed. It's all just bullshit so they can keep their jobs and John in Management can keep getting his dick sucked during lunch. This continues until the company is replaced by 2 people and a bunch of AI bots, but competition is illegal now in the west so the entire economy has to crash before communism is ended.
Didn't some judge just get sued for using Ai which made up a whole bunch of legal cases that didn't exist?
>>527887428go to law school, open one of those "one man law firms" over a dry cleaners, and make a career off suing companies that use AI and fail due diligence
It's gotta be a massive pile of spaghetti. I'm currently using ChatGPT to build a from scratch game engine on iOS and I don't think it would be possible to do this cleanly (if at all) with something like Claude. Call me crazy, but I think that supervised AI supported programming is the way to go.
>>527887152Distributism never worked historically because you couldn’t scale small ownership — you needed capital concentration to achieve efficiency. But if AI collapses the cost of production and management, suddenly one person can run a factory. The efficiency argument for massive corporations disappears when a sole proprietor with AI tools can match their output. That’s not communism, it’s not capitalism as we know it, it’s something new — widespread ownership of productive capacity because the barrier to entry basically vanishes. Chesterton and Belloc would lose their minds.Half the modern economy is people doing things that don’t need to exist — middle management, compliance bureaucracy, marketing that markets to other marketers. AI doesn’t just eliminate jobs, it eliminates the justification for bullshit jobs. If an AI can do your job and your job didn’t produce anything tangible, maybe that job was never real work to begin with. What’s left is people doing things that actually matter — building, growing, creating, maintaining, solving real problems. And if each person has AI-powered productive capacity at their fingertips, the incentive structure flips from “find an employer who’ll let you generate value for them” to “what do I actually want to produce.”
>>527887867Until LLMs write the laws, lawyers will always make sure they have jobsThey don't mind having less competition though
>>527906033
>>527908157Those environments are driven by people who make decisions based, always to some extent and often entirely, on emotions. They're inconsistent and frequently just plain nonsensical. That's entirely incompatible with how AI would manage processes. I mean, there are no processes. Usually it's just a bunch of "rules" codified across hundreds of E-mails and spoken lore, implemented and observed only sporadically and never consistently. Problems get addressed (though rarely solved) through endless meetings. There's simply no dock to attach AI to these environments.
>>527908453New, higher order business models will still require massive amounts of capital.
>>527887152law firms have been saying that for at least a year, but they know that if they don't hire new associates then their company has no future because they need new hires to do drudge work in order to become competent experienced lawyers. otherwise in 10 years everyone will retire and there will be no younger people to employ. also there were people saying that while an AI can produce documents, a person still has to have read all the case info and case law to check that it is correct and hasn't fucked up. so Yang's tweet is overreacting and not something that the big corporate law firms would say. they are investing in AI for law firms but also realise they need new grads for the future, and also to work alongside the AI.
>>527888807britain wants ai judges
>>527908634Maybe at first, but when things become so efficient that the cost of building a factory itself drops to affordable levels?
>>527908621I think AI is actually very well-suited to this. In traditional automation they drive your programmers insane with logical contradictions until the budget runs out. With AI you just have it reading their documentation, emails, meeting notes, etc. and build a lora of all their stupidity.
>>527908667Tech firms are doing this right now and not hiring junior devs. I think it'll end the way you say, but for the next 5-10 years they'll maybe save money I guess.
>>527908447Even the strongest models always fall to spaghettification since Ai in general fails to get the context of many different parts even if it scans an entire projectIt's best use case is checking for errors missed, but creation of code undoubtedly still falls on the programmer It tricks midwits since they don't know what they're looking at anyways so when they run said code and it works they go WOWIE WOWZER While someone who actually knows what they're looking at will typically go>This is fucking retarded, it should be X/Y/Z insteadIt's why a lot of modern code has become 1 billion lines long for something that can be done with 3 lines, Ai is the Jeetification of code, creating infinite loops and IF ELSES not taking into account at all how long it takes for a code to get to the CPU tickWe're looking at code that's nearly 180x slower up to 1000x slower with how much code waste is added for very simple shit. And the solution is >WELL JUST PUT MORE CORES INTO IT TO MAKE IT GO!I fucking hate modern tech

>>527908667Since the Industrial Revolution we lost 99.9% of our skilled craftsmen. They weren’t needed anymore, weren’t trained up by masters of their craft, and now only exist in tiny numbers as a novelty. Somehow, despite this, we have all the same things these craftsmen would have produced, but in much, much higher numbers for a much much lower price.
>>527909080Speaking for myself, I have been able to use AI to turbocharge my output 100 times. I am supervising everything that it does and just constantly wrestling with it to get proper file structure, keep file size low, keep performance high, etc.I no longer have to worry about syntax since I let it handle that for me so I can be proficient with any language / framework and get things done in months that might normally take a group of specialists years. The point that I am trying to make here is not about bragging, it's about trying to show that if you are a programmer that cares about your craft, then you now have all the opportunity in the world to outcompete every dipshit who is going to try to let Claude do everything for them.If companies weren't so damn greedy then they would be trying to 10 or 100 X the individial output of their developers in this manner as opposed to trying to unleash infinity spaghetti in an attempt to replace human beings completely. The companies that care about engineering will be the last ones left standing when all is said and done.
>>527887152Regardless of terms of service, what are the odds Claude (et al) is training on corporate source code that AI agents are given access to?They have to send the source code text or tokens to the datacenters along with the prompts.Google/Apple just settled lawsuits related to actually recording your conversations to generate Ads. They paid a fraction of what they made in Ad revenue to settle.AI company's will think paying a $500M settlement is nothing in grand scheme of things.

Best of luck. >>527908667>and not something that the big corporate law firms would say.No, it is exactly something big corporate law firms would say because they run on a business model of grinding young associates into dust with doc review and pleadings drafting which an AI or clerk could easily do to varying degrees of efficiency. What this model has produced is 4th year associates who have never seen the inside of a courtroom. Yeah, no shit they are not very good lawyers who can be replaced by computers. They never really get to practice law because they're stuck doing busy work a computer or clerk can easily do with three layers of leadership breathing down their necks. >>527913600Again, it depends on how the individual job is structured. When media make their bullshit reports about x number of jobs being eliminated due to AI, that's outright false. The metrics on that, in white collar jobs, measure work that gets replaced by AI, not actual jobs. And that's measured in raw hours, not outcomes. Just because you automate work doesn't necessarily mean that things get done. Now all of that may follow, but most jobs, even bullshit jobs, assuming they involve at least some work that actually needs to get done, involve work that doesn't lend itself to being completed through a series of if-then loops. That all needs to be addressed first. Then you reach a critical mass to where maybe the residual work that cannot be completed by AI gets handed off or consolidated into fewer positions, or simply eliminated.AI is not self-implementing any more than hammers, nails and saws build houses.

>>527887152AI opening lawfare to the middle-class is probably the best cast scenario, but would almost certainly usher in AI rule by clearly compromised models.
>>527887152I used 4.6. it's alright better than gpt but I wouldn't say it's anything stellar. Still gets stuck in once it makes an error it spirals. Never asks for stuff if it doesn't know something that you can give it which always leads to bad results that you then have to fix. Twitter head is full of shit.
>>527888986>>527889186lol this lawyer rat will fuck this dude's career because he can't admit the sinking ship.I've used lawyers like 2 times in the last 5 years - 1st over a car accident, the other 2 over being fired. I called the firm and got a free consultation. I don't even call lawyers anymore because their advice will be infinitely worse than that of Gemini, which has literally read all of the documents in existence.LLMs are almost perfectly made for replacing Law work. Don't be a retard and study trades instead, you will be rich, happy and not become a jobless loser. (You will always remember this comment)
