You would think if they miss remembered that sometimes they would have it going the other way but everybody always has it in the same orientation. Maybe you create a 3 dimensional reality, fragment yourself into infinite pieces and then incarnate in that linear reality to experience an endless multitude of lives all full of doubt and suffering but also hope and love... I remember reading/watching something about some guy who claimed he'd talked to aliens or interdimensional beings or something and basically their entire purpose is to help all sentient life in the universe to reach apotheosis so that we, as a collective, can ascend to godhood or the next level of the simulation or whatever.They were maybe future humans time travelling back to interract with us, or else ancient aliens who had engineered us genetically and were keeping an eye on us to shepherd our development I don't remember.Anyway, so this mandela stuff is a byproduct of quantum immortality. Maybe the simulation/reality is designed to mitigate premature death, by transferring the consciousness to a close, parallel universe, so as not to waste a good learning experience when it can be avoided. Maybe the simulation selects for this.

As far as I know, they theorize something has happened with CERN and it maybe destroyed our old timeline but we switched to the closest one.
