My parents told me I could make $60,000 a year if I apply myself whatever that fucking means they didn’t say when I asked. I make 16 dollars an hour as a demolition laborer. I don’t know anyone make more than $50,000 a year. I asked ChatGPT and it said $50,000 is the medium salary for American workers. Can someone explain this to me? Am I retarded?
I'd retire in a couple years if I could make that much.
Look into what jobs are available near you that pay that much, figure out what you need to do to get them, then do it. The reason most people struggle with this is not because it take a genius to figure out, nor because it requires you to work like 16 hours a day for 2 years straight, but because it requires a consistent, moderate amount of effort above your normal comfort level over ~6-24 months, which most people find very difficult
>>534458440Learn heavy equipment, you'll make good money and you seem simple minded enough to not go insane from the repetitiveness.
What are your actual job skills/education, sir?
>>534458440There are many Albanians that make more than that
>demolition>$16/hwhat in the fuck?demo work is both hard, and terrible for you with all the dust and bullshitmy starting rate is 35aud an hour and 55 if i have to put on PPE because theres asbestosif you're not going to get qualified in something, find a carpenter to work for
>>534458440I don’t have a job. I make money trading in the stock market and I lease farmland and I own a couple properties. I make around $22,000 a month and I spent today in my underwear and bathrobe taking random shots of vodka because my lower back is spasming and I put off my workout for tomorrow. If you don’t think I’m like you I do have two outstanding parking tickets and my license plates expired over a year ago and my girlfriend ran off with a poor military guy and now she’s covered in zoomer doodle tattoos. I miss having a job.

>>53445844050k is the average for a HOUSEHOLD, so usually 2 earners, and that is actually now 60k last I checked. I am a fiber technician for meta, I make $70 an hour so I make anout 130k on my own, my wife is a mil contractor who instructs zogbots about satalites and makes 140k plus disability, as a combined household we make around 6x the average household income. The reason the average income is 60k is because of this, for some fucking reason when you start making money, you REALLY start making money, its quite odd, before this I had a job as a cable tech for google and made 25$ an hour, just applied to meta and lied about experience and now I am here. The job market is beyond fucked, its 60% knowing someone who can recommend you for a job. 40% pure luck and chance, and 100% absolute nonsense. Honestly it really bothers me the way the economy is, I work along side other contractors who do the same job, and in fact have longer hours and if im honest work way harder than me, and they make $25 because there is 3 subcontracting jews who do no work and take money from their paychecks.Fuck this gay earth, but dont give up friend, as you get older its easier to lie into a good role even if it feels like it may never happen.
>>534460205You could just start a business as a hobby. Lots of people do.
>>534459331/thread And yes OP, you are retarded.
>>534458440I hit 52K only after 7 years as a janitor for a large corporation. I started making a little over 12 an hour and by the time I left, was making 24. The thing is, I also got a lot of large than normal raises due to the pandemic causing most of my co workers to leave and they gave us big raises to entice us into staying. New janitors are hired every week and they start at 15 an hour with a 2% flat raise every year.

>>534460502This guy is right.I'm overpaid as fuck and work remote for a tech company doing something that pays half that at most, probably less, at a normal company. I'll probably make $300k this year and I don't deserve it at all. Someone with a high school education and decent computer skills could learn my job in 6 months max. My advice is to do whatever you need to do to work at a tech company. Lie that you went to college (I did, but they didn't check), lie about experience, do whatever. Once you get the job, actually try. You'll probably pick it up enough to not get fired at least.
>>534464575Requires a degree in criminal justice or previous law enforcement/military experience. Same with ICE, I looked into it.
>>534458440get a CDL and drive OTR.$60,000 a year to start, live in your truck, see the country, make bank.
lololol
>>534465127Keep in mind you don't have to be a coder. These places all have customer service, secretaries, accountants, HR idiots, recruiters, etc. Most of these require nothing special that wouldn't be required at a normal company, but they pay more just because it's technically. That's the game, just gotta play it.
>>534465221My brother did this a few years ago and loves it. Thinking about doing the same.

>>534464571yes and no, recently had two contractors under me that were incredibly compitent and good at their jobs, had to let them go over "perm" hires and wasnt allowed to tell them, Told one I trusted but didnt tell the other one, I feel scummy for that. That being said, its kind of fucking crazy but find the right industry and you can hit 6 figs by pure luck and being in the right place at the right time, helped that 4 of the people on my 5 person team quit around the same time when I was still a contractor, I had the most experience of anyone at my site and they had to scramble to hire me and more contractors then perm people. One thing that shocks me with this industry as I mentioned is the amount of jeet or kike owned companies that are "subcontracting" ie taking 30-40% of your check because they "found you" the job by lying to tech companies that they totally have for sure 10 people who are totally not fresh off the street who have never been in a DC in their lives (very common)
>>534465341I really don't want to change my job as its basically my "dream" job.I work a 4 on, 4 off 12 hour solo overnight shift at a plant where my meaningful work is probably about 2 hours every night, completely unsupervised in a remote location. It also comes with state pension.I'm an extreme antisocial introvert so its perfect for me, I don't interact with anyone except the guy I'm relieving.I never want to play the "find a job" game ever again, I fucking hate it with every fiber of my being and would probably just blow my brains out if I ever lost this job (fat chance, fortunately).I got into it and started being able to save right before the housing market in my area took an absolute shit due to all the rich out of state transplants. The 65K a year would be perfect for a single loser like me if it weren't for the fucked cost of living increase in my area now.I'll never afford a nice house with some land outside of the city now, or if I can it will be grossly overpriced from what its actually worth.Feeling kind of stuck and hopeless ATM.
>>534458440Ask yourself would an extra 10k even matter? Like would 60k make any difference in your life?
>>534465517Real, I feel the same and unfourtunately I dont at all feel like my job is stable, so maybe staying where you are isnt the worst move. Its near impossible, but I know a few friends who managed to buy seller financed homes with nothing down where they just assumed the sellers mortgage, no nepotism, pure wholesale market, really hard but possible. I sometimes think I need to find something to do in my off hours as well, I only meaningfly work about 4 hours in a day and then I usually go home or stay and yell at indians for being retarded. Economy is fucked now, trying any "side hussle" seems hopeless and ive been very /biz/ pilled my whole life, used to do tons of things for cash on the sideand now nothing is feasable anymore and jobs are impossible. If it makes you feel better, Im sure you will scoff at it, but even with how much money I make I feel somewhat trapped as well, comfortable sure, but retiring ever seems grim, and garunteed paychecks for the next decade also feel grim. to be honest sounds like you have it okay at least, which is far better than the alternative.
>>534465698IndeedMy biggest issue is my current 800 sq. ft. starter home I snagged for $50k in 2017. It's a piece of shit, already had to put about 20k into it in necessary repairs over the years. It was obviously some boomer's country shack project, probably couldn't fit the code violations on a single page. Doesn't have central A/C, half of the house still looks like a crack house (I only do repairs when absolutely necessary so I can keep saving up money), I apparently picked one of the busiest fucking backroads in town with nigger rigs blaring by at all hours, methhead streetwalker zoomers and niggers walk by all the time, and I can't have packages delivered at all.It wasn't THIS bad when I first bought it but its progressively gotten worse over the years (the neighborhood), but I always thought this would just be a stepping stone once I established a career. Even my parents were like "we never in a million years would have expected something like this economy/housing market to happen".It's really depressing. I have 60k free cash in the bank saved up, and my options are buying a slightly less shitty house in a slightly less shitty part of town for grossly more than its worth, or start fixing up this dump which would feel like throwing expensive parts on a beater car.
