I have a bitch at work who's disabled. She constantly tries to insert herself into everyone's lives. Talks smack like she's the most important person in the world. Hyperactive and won't stop talking, ever.
Obviously everyone avoids her like the fucking plague that she is. But that doesn't deter her. She can't read the room at all and constantly seeks attention. ANY attention.
Negative attention is still attention.
Also, no long term memory. Every day is new to her.
This looks like the same phenomenon.

Italy's defense minister says Ukraine can never win war against Russia

Ukraine will never be able to win the war against Russia. A true victory for Kyiv means something else, Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto said in an interview with the BBC.

He said that most Italian citizens oppose providing aid to Ukraine, while the country's government continues to support it.

>"Ukraine will never be able to win this war. Because when someone in Italy said, 'Ukraine will win the war,' some people thought that Ukraine wanted to defeat Russia. That Zelenskyy would practically enter Moscow with a Ukrainian flag. No, that's impossible," Crosetto said.
>He noted that his goal is to ensure Ukraine's survival and bring the war to an end.
>"For Ukraine, victory means Russia leaving, stopping the bombing, and Ukraine becoming a free country again — free to live and have its own future. That is the kind of victory we all want for Ukraine," the minister explained.
>He said that most Italian citizens oppose providing aid to Ukraine, while the country's government continues to support it.
>Italy has already delivered 12 aid packages to Ukraine and will likely send another one by the end of the year.
>Crosetto noted that Putin wants to restore Russia to the form it had before the collapse of the Soviet Union because he is unwilling to accept that Russia is not on par with the US or China and would like to "become the third party at that table."
>"Russia attacked Ukraine, Crimea, and Georgia, and if we look further back in history, Afghanistan. So, the idea of attacking to occupy territory is embedded in the Russian mindset," he stressed.

>>
>>544598646
That doesn't make sense.
Russia's goals are not achieved, and therefore Russia hasn't won (and is unlikely to win, the goals seem out of reach).
However, Ukraine's goal wasn't just for Russia to not achieve its goals. Ukraine clearly has goals beyond survival, and is failing to achieve them as well.

This is why the conflict won't be resolved, but frozen again, and will either re-ignite later, or will be resolved diplomatically if one side becomes substantially weaker than the other's coalition in the future.

Ukraine's biggest drone attack yet on St. Petersburg kills one, sets oil terminal ablaze

Ukrainian drones struck St. Petersburg and the surrounding Leningrad region overnight on Oct. 18 in what appeared to be the largest attack on Russia's second city since the war began, hitting an oil terminal, a fuel depot, an Ozon warehouse, a VK data centre and a road bridge.
One city resident was killed and at least 15 people were injured across the city and the wider region, according to the latest tallies. St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov initially reported one dead and five injured in the city, and said fires broke out in the Nevsky, Krasnoselsky, Krasnogvardeysky and Moskovsky districts, at the Ruchyi oil depot and at industrial warehouses in the Kolpinsky district. The attack damaged 12 apartment blocks and two private houses.
Emergency crews battled the blazes through Sunday at the St. Petersburg Oil Terminal — one of the largest fuel transshipment complexes in the Baltic region, with an annual capacity of 12.5 million tonnes — at the Ruchyi depot and at the Kolpino warehouses, while the fires in the four residential districts were extinguished. The terminal had already been hit twice since June, most recently on July 4.
Leningrad region Governor Alexander Drozdenko said air defences downed a record 145 drones over the region overnight — his earlier count was 144 — and that drone debris fell on houses in Gatchina and other districts, sparking fires and damaging some 55 cars. A woman and three children were hospitalised with carbon monoxide poisoning after debris hit a house in the Vsevolozhsky district. Two transformer substations in Yanino were switched off, leaving around 50 apartment blocks — home to some 20,000 people — without electricity, though the Vostochnaya substation near the data centre suffered only minor damage, officials said.

The monitoring channels Exilenova+ and ASTRA reported strikes on the oil terminal, on the data centre of VK — Russia's largest social media company, formerly VKontakte — and on a cable-stayed bridge over the Korabelny Fairway on the Western High-Speed Diameter ring road. Fire Point, the Ukrainian maker of the FP-1 long-range drone, said its drones were used in the strike on the terminal. VK confirmed the attack on its data centre in the village of Novosergievka, saying its services continued to run as normal, though users reported widespread outages. Ozon said staff were evacuated from its 79,000-square-metre logistics hub in Kolpino and that goods from the damaged facility were temporarily hidden from its online storefront.
Russia's Defence Ministry said it shot down 1,015 Ukrainian drones overnight across 15 regions as well as over Crimea and the Black Sea — one of the largest aerial attacks of the war. St. Petersburg's Pulkovo airport temporarily restricted operations, with 27 flights cancelled, 46 delayed and 13 aircraft diverted. The Investigative Committee opened a terrorism case over the attack. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov sought to play down the strikes, telling reporters they were incapable of changing the course of the war.
The attack came amid a fraying U.S.-brokered energy ceasefire announced by President Donald Trump on Oct. 11. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Russia had struck Ukrainian energy and oil-and-gas facilities 76 times since the truce was declared, launching nearly 2,700 drones, 1,700 aerial bombs and 66 missiles over the past week. Overnight into Oct. 19, Russia attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles and drones, killing one person and injuring eight.

U.S. Floats Another Lifeline to Russia: Allowing It to Sell More Gas to Europe

The Trump administration is pitching the idea as part of a peace deal with Ukraine, but Europe is wary and critics say Russia would be strengthened.

1/?

A key element in the Trump administration’s broad plan for securing peace in Ukraine is a proposal that would turn years of American energy policy upside-down.

Europe, the U.S. pitch goes, should resume buying more Russian gas — a move that would be an economic boon for Moscow and give it renewed influence in the region.

President Trump’s peace envoys, Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, have brought up the idea in talks with Ukrainian and European officials, including with President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv last month, according to people familiar with the talks. To help entice Russia to end the war in Ukraine, the Americans have argued, Ukraine should consider restarting pipelines that used to carry Russian natural gas to Europe.

European officials in the talks have recoiled at the idea, which would undo the European Union’s years of efforts, backed by Washington, to rid itself of Russian gas. But Trump officials see Russian gas exports as a potential part of a peace settlement, given the revenues that would flow to Ukraine and what they see as the inevitable desire for cheaper energy by European voters, the people said, discussing sensitive diplomacy on the condition of anonymity.
The disconnect underscores the unusual — and, critics say, fatally flawed — nature of Mr. Trump’s renewed diplomatic effort to end Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Rather than pressure President Vladimir V. Putin or try to strengthen Ukraine’s war effort, the administration has spent significant time exploring economic incentives for Russia and raising them in talks with Europe and Ukraine.

2/?

U.S. and Russian officials have been talking about potential business deals since last year, but their prospect has not appeared to do anything to get Mr. Putin to budge from his core demands. And given how much European and Ukrainian leaders oppose returning to a reliance on Russian gas, the proposal may end up further complicating the Trump administration’s efforts to end the war.

In a statement, the White House said that the war was “driving up energy prices across Europe and creating significant economic hardship in both Russia and Ukraine.”

“The United States has been working closely with Ukraine and our European partners on a comprehensive peace proposal that includes economic incentives for both Russia and Ukraine as part of a final settlement,” the statement said. “Our objective is not simply to end the fighting, but to create the conditions for lasting peace, economic recovery and greater stability across the region.”

Mr. Trump on Friday exempted Russia from new sanctions passed by Congress, a week after lifting sanctions on Russian diesel, his most significant steps yet in easing economic pressure on Russia. Mr. Putin’s economic envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, described the diesel deal as just the beginning of what could result from his talks with Mr. Kushner and Mr. Witkoff.

“I think we will be announcing some important initiatives in the near future,” Mr. Dmitriev said at an energy conference in Moscow on Friday. “The ice has finally broken, after all.”

Mr. Dmitriev said Russia and the United States were discussing a wide range of projects, including data centers running on Russian nuclear power. The sale of the international assets of the Russian energy giant Lukoil to an investor group that includes the U.S. government is also part of the talks, The New York Times reported this month.

But the proposal to bring back Russian gas exports to Europe, which Mr. Kushner and Mr. Witkoff see as a potential part of a final peace package, may be the most audacious and divisive part of the plan. For American companies, it could reduce demand for U.S. liquefied natural gas in Europe. For European governments, it could boost populist politicians already urging an end to aid to Ukraine and a renewal of ties with Russia.

“We want natural gas and crude oil from Russia to relieve German consumers and German businesses,” Alice Weidel, a leader of the far-right Alternative for Germany, said in Parliament in Berlin this week. As Washington and Moscow negotiated deals “to their mutual advantage,” she said, sanctions on Russia were “ruining our own economy.”

Mr. Zelensky, who has attacked Mr. Trump in recent days for pulling back support for Ukraine and doing deals with Mr. Putin, alluded to the negotiations in an interview with The Financial Times this week.

“The question will be when will the next deal be?” Mr. Zelensky said. “Maybe it will be gas. Definitely it will be gas.”

Shunning Russian Energy

Ukraine stopped transporting Russian gas in January 2025, losing around $1 billion in annual transit fees. The European Union has pledged to end all Russian gas imports by next year. Last year, 13 percent of the E.U.’s gas imports came from Russia, compared to 45 percent in 2021.

But as the White House has grasped for new ideas to end the war in Ukraine, and as Mr. Trump frets over high energy prices ahead of the midterm elections, the administration has been increasingly considering deals that would ease Russia’s ability to export its fossil fuels.

Enabling Russia to restart gas exports to Europe, the people involved said, is a longer-term plan being discussed by Mr. Kushner and Mr. Witkoff. The envoys see such exports as among the economic incentives in a broader settlement that would involve negotiations over the future Russia-NATO relationship, security guarantees for Ukraine and an agreement over territorial control.

Some European and Ukrainian officials expect the United States to seek a stake in Russian gas exports, giving American companies or the government a cut of the profits, according to people familiar with the talks.

An American investor, Stephen P. Lynch, has sought to buy a sabotaged Russian undersea gas pipeline to Germany, Nord Stream 2, starting in the Biden administration. U.S. control of the pipeline, he argued, would benefit American interests and European security when, sooner or later, Russian gas flows through it are restored.

Mr. Lynch said he was not currently part of any Nord Stream negotiations and did not have a Treasury Department license to be involved. But Nord Stream has also come up in the discussions between the United States and Russia, people familiar with the talks said. Reuters reported this month that U.S. and Russian officials had discussed bringing a U.S. investor into Nord Stream.

5/?

The White House, in its statement, said that Nord Stream had not been “a subject of recent discussions.” It added that “any arrangement involving it would require close coordination with our European partners as part of a comprehensive peace agreement.”

One of the people familiar with the talks said the Trump administration sees restarting the undersea pipeline as “low-hanging fruit” in the event of a peace deal. European officials may have forsworn Russian gas publicly, the person said, but European voters, like American voters, will eventually want cheaper energy.

It is an echo of the Kremlin’s position. Mr. Putin’s spokesman, Dmitri S. Peskov, said in a voice message in response to questions about the gas talks: “Resuming energy cooperation in whatever form is in our interest, but right now, it may even more be in the interest of the Europeans themselves.”

German Opposition

The German government has been at the forefront of pushing back against restarting Russian gas pipelines, even though Germany had been the biggest buyer of Russian gas before Mr. Putin’s 2022 invasion. When the idea came up again in Ukraine talks hosted by Mr. Witkoff and Mr. Kushner in Florida last week, Günter Sautter, the top security adviser to Chancellor Friedrich Merz of Germany, was particularly forceful in his opposition, according to two people familiar with the meeting.

A European official familiar with the Germans’ stance said this week that the German government views Russian gas sold through an intermediary as indistinguishable from gas straight from Russia — and thus, off-limits as part of peace negotiations.

Germany’s energy costs have soared since 2022, and current and former German officials acknowledge that buying Russian gas again would bring those prices down. But they say doing so would cost Germany and Europe dearly in security terms, including by making it vulnerable to a future gas cutoff by Moscow.

“Europe, and especially Germany, should never again be dependent on Russian gas,” Robert Habeck, who was the German economy minister when the war began and managed the transition off Russian gas, said in an interview. “Because we have seen how unreliable Russia was.”

But German leaders are under pressure at home over the war — and over gas imports in particular. The Alternative for Germany, or AfD, which leads national polls with close to 30 percent support, has pitched a renewal of Russian gas imports as a way to fight inflation and boost the German economy.

In the state of Saxony-Anhalt, where the AfD this month elected the first far-right speaker in a German statehouse since 1945, lawmakers passed a largely symbolic measure this week that calls on the federal government to end sanctions against Russia and cease military aid to Ukraine. AfD representatives voted for the bill, along with lawmakers from a Russia-friendly party founded by a former leftist, the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance.

European leaders are increasingly worried about the similar messages coming from their countries’ populist parties, Mr. Trump and the Kremlin. Mr. Merz and other European leaders have publicly criticized Mr. Trump’s lifting of sanctions on Russian diesel, saying the move broke the West’s economic pressure campaign against Moscow.

Mr. Habeck, the former economy minister, said it was possible Germany could live with the resumption of a relatively small amount of gas imports from Russia. But he said that it was crucial for Europe to own and operate its own energy infrastructure in the years to come, and that it would not matter — in security terms — if an American intermediary transported Russian gas.

“In the old days, I would be glad if an American company would be part of the ownership,” Mr. Habeck said. “Now I’m afraid, because we see that Trump seems to have more sympathies with Vladimir Putin than he has with the Ukrainians.”

Russia's FSB moves to place Black Sea resort beach strip under border-zone regime

Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) has proposed placing a stretch of the resort coast of Gelendzhik, on the Black Sea, under a border-zone regime, according to the investigative outlet Agentstvo, which reviewed the agency's draft order on Oct. 18.
The proposed zone would cover strips of land adjacent to the coastline from the Rybatskaya Bukhta area to Tonky Cape, its boundaries traced by 13 sets of coordinates that run along Rybatskaya, Vzletnaya, Desantnaya and Parusnaya streets. The stretch includes beaches and holiday camps, the Gelendzhik catacombs, a children's orthopedic sanatorium, the city's airport, an FSB pier for warships and a training centre belonging to the security service.
A border zone would give the FSB, which guards Russia's borders, powers to control entry to the territory and people's movement within it; under the agency's border-regime rules, visitors can in some cases be required to show identity documents and obtain a special permit. In an explanatory note, the FSB says the move is needed to optimise the guarding of the state border and to protect facilities of its Border Directorate for Krasnodar Krai. The note also cites a presidential instruction dated Aug. 28 and numbered Prs-1131 — a document that could not be found in open sources.
The same draft order would repeal the border zone on Russian-owned islands in the Sea of Azov, scrapping a clause of a 2020 FSB order. That step may reflect Moscow's annexation of Ukrainian coastal territories, which has turned the Sea of Azov into what is de facto an internal Russian body of water; Russia denounced its 2003 treaty with Ukraine on the joint use of the Azov Sea and the Kerch Strait in 2023. Under the existing order, the border zone in Krasnodar Krai previously covered only areas along the border with Abkhazia, including part of Sochi, and the Azov islands.

The proposal comes amid a steady rise in Ukrainian air attacks on Krasnodar Krai. Gelendzhik has repeatedly come under drone-threat regimes, including one declared as recently as Oct. 15, and on the night of Sept. 9 the city weathered what local media called the most intense drone attack on the region's coast in recent times, part of a strike that killed four people, including a child, in nearby Novorossiysk. Ukrainian naval drones have also threatened the coast, prompting air-raid sirens in Gelendzhik and Novorossiysk overnight on Sept. 3.

That's probably what's changing the calculus, since Ukraine weakened Russia enough that it's just not a credible threat to the US anymore, even if it somehow rose up, adding Russia to the US's sphere of influence seems worth more than letting it fall further into China's at this point, as China is the only credible threat to the US in the future.

Payouts have increased yoy but they haven't helped the draw of men into the army. It has only perhaps stemmed the bleeding. Regions must pay these bonuses + death bonuses + meet quotas for recruitment set by the federal government. Can't do all of that whilst money is tight and the economy is spiralling.

US resumes intelligence-sharing with Ukraine after brief pause, Zelenskiy says

1/2

The United States has resumed providing Ukraine critical intelligence to help it defend against Russian missile strikes after a brief pause, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said, though Washington denies there was ever a suspension.
"It was blocked for some period of time. And then it was deblocked by the American side. We are very thankful for this. Now it works," Zelenskiy told NBC's "Meet the Press" in an interview aired on Oct. 18, in comments first reported by Bloomberg. He did not say when the exchanges were restored.
Zelenskiy said Ukraine had gone three days without U.S. early warnings of Russian ballistic missile attacks. "We have dozens of countries who help, but only the United States has this unique intelligence to tell us, our side, when Russia uses ballistic missiles," he said.
The Ukrainian leader expressed hope that a new round of talks with U.S. President Donald Trump's administration on ending the war could be held as early as this week, and said he had spoken on Oct. 18 with Trump's envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner about arranging a new peace meeting, also discussing deliveries of U.S. Patriot air defence systems.

Zelenskiy said he still views Trump as an ally but urged him to reconsider moves that have strained the relationship, including the waiving of new sanctions on Russia. "We want to trust him, and I hope that he will change his decisions," Zelenskiy said. "Because I think that it's all mistakes and it will not help us. And it will not help United States."
U.S. officials have denied any halt to intelligence-sharing. Trump told reporters on Oct. 13: "We are helping them, and we are sharing intel." On Oct. 19, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, speaking during a trip to Uzbekistan, said there had been no "pause" in intelligence-sharing and called on Zelenskiy to focus on "bringing an end to this war."

Russia attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure with ballistic missiles and drones overnight into Oct. 19, and Kyiv again received no early warning from partner countries, Zelenskiy said on Monday.
The pause followed days of strain after Kyiv said it had received no advance warning before Russian ballistic missiles struck the capital on Oct. 12. Zelenskiy said on Oct. 14 that the Trump administration had warned intelligence-sharing could be suspended unless Ukraine stopped striking Russian oil refineries, and Ukraine has also faced restrictions on the military use of SpaceX's Starlink satellite system.

russia has nothing to ofer - they are a dying 3rd world country with no tech, no science, collapsing economy and awful demographics. Their only advantages are oil and gas but their importance is dominishing as the entire world moves away from fossil fuels. The only reason trump faviors russia is because he hopes to enrich himself personally off russian bribes, or 'business deals'. There is nothing to gain for USA from such cooperation, even before all the sanctions American trade with russia was laughably low. So spare me the 'reasonable' voice because there is nothing reasonable about any of this, except for trump and his cronies' personal finances.

Turkey to take some Russian diesel released under Trump-Putin deal, minister says

Turkey will take some of the diesel Russia is supplying to global markets under its agreement with U.S. President Donald Trump, Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar said on Oct. 18, describing the arrangement as important for his country's energy security.
"Russia imposed restrictions on diesel exports in recent months when they started experiencing this problem. Now they reached a diesel deal with Trump… Through the talks we held, we will take some of that diesel to Turkey," Bayraktar told broadcaster Kanal 7. He did not give volumes, prices or a timeline for the deliveries.
Ankara relies on Russia for part of its energy needs, as well as on Iran, Azerbaijan and others, and is trying to diversify its suppliers through deals with the U.S. and other partners. The announcement came two days after Bayraktar attended the Russian Energy Week forum in Moscow.
Trump announced the deal on Oct. 9 after a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying Russia would "immediately" supply more than 300,000 tonnes of diesel to the U.S. and global markets, followed by another 500,000 tonnes in November, 1 million tonnes "immediately thereafter" and a further 3 million tonnes "within a short period of time" — some 4.8 million tonnes in all. The U.S. Treasury immediately issued a general license authorizing transactions involving Russian diesel until April 7, 2027.
Trump framed the deal as a way to bring down fuel prices, which have surged since the start of the Iran war and stepped-up Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries; U.S. diesel was at $6.23 a gallon at the time, with midterm elections due next month. His envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff told Ukrainian officials the license was meant to bring Moscow back to the negotiating table, Reuters reported.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, European officials and some of Trump's fellow Republicans strongly criticized the deal. Senator Thom Tillis said on Oct. 11 it may be illegal and would put American lives at risk, and on Oct. 17 Democratic Representative Gregory Meeks, deputy chairman of the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee, introduced a bill to revoke it. Oil prices eased at the start of this week as markets priced in freer flows of Russian fuel, Turkish media reported.

But yeah the army has to cannibalise itself merely to hold the line which they're not doing very well this year. There are lots of reports from the ru side of professional soldiers getting chucked into StormZ. It's obviously not sustainable but perhaps higher command know that mass mobilisation is inevitable. So losses are irrelevant because they believe that they will get a flood of replenishments.

Russian overnight strike on Kyiv kills one, damages metro station

Russian forces attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles and drones overnight into Oct. 19, killing a 21-year-old woman and wounding eight people, Ukraine's State Emergency Service said.
The strike damaged the Chernihivska metro station on the capital's left bank, and debris falling beside it ruptured the running and contact rails. City authorities suspended service at Chernihivska and the adjacent Lisova station, both above ground, limiting trains on the line to the stretch between Akademmistechko and Darnytsia.
Debris also hit a 25-storey apartment block in the Solomianskyi district, striking its first floor and setting fire to a medical facility on the building's third floor, the city military administration said. Non-residential buildings in the Dniprovskyi district were also hit.
Russia has escalated its air attacks on Kyiv since September, striking the city both by day and by night. The New York Times reported on Oct. 16 that relentless air raid alerts, power and water cuts and the threat of strikes on apartment blocks had turned daily life in the Ukrainian capital into a struggle for survival.
Moscow has kept striking Ukrainian energy infrastructure despite the energy ceasefire announced by U.S. President Donald Trump on Oct. 11. On Oct. 14, Russia's defence ministry said its forces had hit five energy facilities in Kyiv and the surrounding region: the Darnytsia, Kyiv No. 5 and Kyiv No. 6 combined heat and power plants, the Trypilska thermal power plant and the Kyivska substation.

Trump says Russia sanctions on hold to keep Moscow at the table, blames Zelenskiy for war and diesel prices

1/2

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Oct. 18 he had held off on sweeping new sanctions against Russia because he does not want to drive Moscow away from negotiations to end the war in Ukraine, and accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy of prolonging the conflict and hurting world diesel markets by striking Russian refineries.
"My decision on Russia is a very simple one. I am in the process of negotiating Peace in the war between Russia and Ukraine, and don't want to do anything that will drive, foolishly, Russia away from the bargaining table," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
"Great progress is being made, and that includes current hostage negotiations!" he wrote. "Signing that document at this time will do that, and I can sign it later, or any time that I want!"
The sanctions in question are those of the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026 — a package known informally in Washington as the "sanctions from hell" for its late Senate sponsor. Trump signed it into law on Sept. 18, then waived its Russia measures with an executive order on Oct. 16, two days before they were due to take effect. Secretary of State Marco Rubio described the waiver as a 60-day pause to analyse the impact on the global economy.
Trump also said Russia was doing "very little, if anything, to help the Islamic Republic of Iran," adding: "I want to keep it that way, and will, unless stupid people get in the way."
He then turned on Zelenskiy. "Zelenskyy is using Diesel Refineries in Russia as a target, knowing that these attacks are seriously hurting the world diesel markets, including those in the United States," Trump wrote. "Farmers, ranchers, and businesses of all kinds are suffering greatly from this, but Russia is, nevertheless, sending, at a low price, millions of barrels of diesel to the World."

"Zelenskyy doesn't care, and frankly, with all of the money that Europe is famously giving him, and that Crooked Joe Biden gave him in the past, he doesn't want to end this war, and probably never did," he wrote. "He could have made a better deal two years ago than he can now. His country is in shambles, a large portion of his land is lost, his oceans and seas are gone, and his male population is low, wounded, and/or dead."
He ended the post with the exclamation: "I WANT THIS WAR END!"
Zelenskiy told NBC on Oct. 18 that waiving the sanctions would strengthen Russian President Vladimir Putin's war effort and be a "historic mistake" for Washington. He said Russia had attacked Ukraine's energy, oil and gas sectors 76 times in the week since Trump announced an "energy ceasefire" on Oct. 11.

In the 1990s, the United States learned a great deal about Russia’s nuclear legacy — more than ever before. The United States obtained a lot of data on the Russian nuclear complex: on delivery systems, bases, plants, dismantlement/disposal, and material accounting.

500 tonnes of Russian highly enriched weapons-grade uranium (HEU), extracted from dismantled warheads, were downblended into 14,446 tonnes of low-enriched uranium (LEU). This fuel was supplied to American nuclear power plants, providing about 10% of all electricity generation in the United States (or every tenth light bulb in the country).

>People who tell the President of the United States no usually don't have a happy ending
What you're doing here is attempting to normalize mafia-style rackets and extortion.
In international relations it is perfectly normal to say "no" to somebody, and there's nothing that can be done about it.
If you claim that it's Trumps god given right to murder / kill those who even dare to differ in opinion, what does that have to do with the values of your nation?

“Russia has virtually no resources” - incorrect. The territory of the Russian Federation contains over 10% of the world’s oil reserves, about one-third of its gas, 5–6% of its coal, and around 25% of its iron ore; the gross value of proven reserves is estimated at roughly $30 trillion, and the total value of natural resources, according to various estimates, ranges from $75 to $100 trillion.

Cope how you much Frenchie but the simple truth is that your country is being overrun by Africans and Muslims you welcomed into the Republic back in 1950's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's...and not the so-called "Asiatic Hordes" you schizo.

You're the first country that will go under.
