The whole cinematic/post pandemic style is kind of a bad design choice. It's barely a professional wrestling show now, which doesn't sound bad at first, but now there is no stakes/every storyline and promo just feels like a play. You need to suspend your disbelief for a wrestling show, but not it's not even a wrestling show anymore.

I agree but other people seem to like that presentation so I guess it's here to stay. I just don't like everything feeling like it's in a separate universe. Chris Jericho or Bray Wyatt's bro will walk out and the show they're on will change genres completely

It's not just the presentation though, wwe used to be simulating a sports channel, except crazy shit happened in it (the way it's been for the past 60 something years or something), now it's like this live action play. Like I get it's a cool idea on paper, but you will soon find it hard to be invested because it's no longer a fake simulated sports show, which is easier to suspend your disbelief for.
